Pizza was good. Not a fan of the wings but they weren't bad. Delivery driver and woman who took our order were both really sweet.

My Wife and I ordered delivery from here and we had an enjoyable meal. I got a pizza and I thought it was a solid pie. The sauce had this hint of zest and sweetness that was subtle, but enjoyable. They gave me a good portion of toppings. I thought the dough was solid as it had a nice flavor and had just the right amount of chewiness I prefer. I also ordered pizza fries, but I believe I was given given a pizza steak sandwich by mistake. Since it was delivered, I tried some and they covered the steak in marinara and a nice portion of cheese. My Wife ordered a ham and cheese hoagie that she liked. The bread was decent. My Wife ordered a ham hoagie that she enjoyed. My Wife and I both think the hoagies could be improved if they toasted the buns. My Wife also got a small order of fries and we were both satisfied with them. They were seasoned well and had a bit of crisp on them. The staff were very nice and I was surprised that they took an order on a Saturday afternoon and for food delivered to us within 30-40 minutes. My Wife also got a piece of Tiramisu that she said was very good. Overall it was a solid meal and both of us would be good with eating from here again. read more

I've gotten Frank's takeout a few times now. I've gotten their chicken cheesesteak combo with french fries and a soda, comes to about $15 with tax. The food is always ready when I arrive to pick up, and the food is solid about what you'd expect from a pizza spot like this. I've yet to try their pizza, but I'll update my review if I do! Quick and easy! Frank's is a great place to preorder a sandwich or a pizza and then run up the street to get it. Take it home or sit outside and eat. They're fast and efficient and give you exactly what you ordered. The food is good and there are no surprises with one exception. First time at Franks and I was very much impressed. Online ordering was easy, I ordered their special, 2 large pizzas for $20. Toppings were 2.25 per each so it came out to about $30 with tip. I got pepperoni on one and ricotta cheese on the other. I got a nice street parking spot right by the store and my order was ready when I got there, exactly as scheduled online. Nice little store with friendly staff, they gave me paper plates and napkins and sent me on my way. Both pizzas were tasty, I particularly enjoyed the ricotta. So much that I had 2 leftover slices for breakfast the next day! I'm anxious to try a sandwich there next time, but definitely recommend the pizza! read more

We recently moved from Fishtown to the area. We were a block from Franco's, which became one of our favorite pizza shops. It's hard for us to agree on a pizza shop because she normally likes more specialty pizza and I prefer a good pepperoni and cheese. I assume this comes from being raised in a town that had a ton of little pizza shops they were all generally the same. So where am I going with all this? Basically when I'm in the mood for pizza I'm in the mood for what I would consider a real pizza. The perfect ratio of red sauce and cheese not too much of either. The option to put the kitchen sink on it and no fancy names. So I thought it would be hard to find our new pizza place in this area. I HAVE GREAT NEWS. she liked it and I of course loved it. This rating is not a comparison to artisan pizza. That's like comparing Batman 1989 to the dark Knight trilogy. One blew my mind as a kid and one blew my mind as an adult. read more

Frank's is consistently good and fast. I appreciate their crust because it always walks the line between crisp, chewy and soft doughy: Oumami. Franks Pizza is always great. However somehow I was linked to grub hub ( I don't even have a grub hub account) when I tried to get out GH I was only allowed to pay and I don't even have Apple Pay! My husband does but I do not. Somehow GH accessed HIS Apple Pay!!! NEVER ORDER FRANKS ONLINE, it's NOT Frank's it's diverted to grub hub. I will never order online again. Don't punish franks, I think this a scam by GH. Call your order in to franks, they have their own delivery guys who DESERVE the tip. read more

This is the second time I have gotten take out from Franks when visiting Philadelphia. The cheese steak sandwich (with onion) is delicious. The bread roll is soft and filled high with meat/cheese/grilled onion. Delicious!! I was also given another slice of their pizza. I love it! Can't get anything close to it in Richmond, VA. The dough is freshly made each day. It has a little crunch from the bottom, has just the right amount of sauce and cheese. You can taste the garlic but it is mot overpowering. Best thing is it is foldable! The father and son are kind and welcoming - the other employees too. I highly recommend Franks. Unfortunately, I have to update my review and take a star away. They past few times I've ordered, they couldn't seem to get my order correct. Two times I ordered regular cheesesteaks and was given chicken cheesesteaks. For my fellow cheesesteak lovers, THIS IS A HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT. I called both times to let them know, wondering if it was a computer glitch, but it was just human error. This chicken cheesesteak is pressed chicken, not chopped chicken breast. I couldn't even taste any cheese, so reluctantly, I had to throw it away. They said I could come back and pick up my correct cheesesteak, but I was on my lunch break and this wasn't an option. The cashier said he would put my name on the wall. I told him my name was probably still up there from last time. Additionally, my Cesar salad was incorrect, but I wasn't upset about that, because they included chicken on it. They still have the best prices around, but I'm not sure if I'll keep ordering from them, since they cannot seem to get my order correct and I end up wasting time, money, and food. read more

This place is a local staple and does not disappoint. We LOVE the pizza and the price is on point. It's great out of the box and maybe even better reheated the next day in the air fryer! We have ordered numerous other items - the ziti with sausage, chicken parm with spaghetti, cheeseburger, french fries, to name a few. And the portion sizes are incredible! you can definitely get extra meals. And we love how cheesy everything is! The staff at Franks are so nice and the turnaround from order to being ready -really quick. Is this place fancy? If you want decent pizza for a great price, look no further! A medium plain pizza is only $10 AND their medium size is the same size as a standard large pizza (14"). Don't expect to be blown away by the pizza but it is pretty good. The crust has the right amount of crunch and it's not overloaded with sauce. I also ordered a vanilla milkshake which I would skip next time. It was too runny even though I requested extra thick and I wasn't a fan of the vanilla ice cream they used. I'm rating Frank's 5 stars because they offer the best pizza deals in the East Falls/Manayunk/Rox area and it's actually good pizza. This small pizza joint is a well loved small business in the community which is why I think a lot of people rave about it. However, judging from quality of the food and cleanliness of the place I have to give it only three stars. It's really nothing special, just your run of the mill pizza/deli place. It hits the spot when you're really craving a hoagie or a slice of pizza and don't particularly care about eating the most gourmet thing. The pizza is average at best. On the thinner side, with cheese and sauce that lacks flavor (perhaps because it's been frozen for a while?). The hoagies are a bit better but they really lack quality control. I've ordered different kinds over the year and often they miss and ingredient or the meat quality is subpar. I like supporting small businesses so I frequent this place when I'm in a rush to make dinner. However, it's certainly not the taste that keeps me coming back. read more

Expanding my horizons to yet another pizza shop I decided to go here. This was the first East Falls pizza place I've ordered from. Was able to order online for this place but paid withy card when I got there. Order two large 16 inch pizzas for $15. This is an incredible deal! The pizza was good too. High quality cheese with an extraordinarily floury dough and fluffy white crust. Also got the south Philly cheesesteak sandwhich combo. I split this with some out of towners and I remarked that this was "south philly" style not remembering that's what it was called. It was presumably thin sliced rib-eye (not chopped), not heavily season, with wiz on an unseeded 12 inch roll. Got fried onions on it too. Unbelievable how you can get the steak, fries and a 20oz drink for under $7. Really awesome, wish I lived closer as it would be my go to jaunt. read more

Tiny neighborhood spot - found it while about a mile away at my kid's gymnastics spot (at Material Culture). Only 4 stools, small place, mainly seem to do take-out & delivery. I got the chicken parm over spaghetti - very tasty. The spaghetti sauce was a little boring, but with the chicken parm mixed in, it was perfect. Came with a little iceberg salad and bread - really a meal for two. It was all absolutely tasty and just exactly what I was craving. My kid got a couple if slices of pepperoni - the "for slices" pie was maybe not as good as a fresh pie would've been, but the pepperonis were actually really nice - tasty and not crazy oily. The service was great, and they had the Phillies game on while I waited. What more could a person want from a pizza joint? read more

I moved to the neighborhood 8 months ago and the first, second and third time I got franks everything was great!! I was convinced this was my go to spot and excited about being able to walk there. Would have given a hard 4.5 stars. Yummy, cheap, dependable and friendly! Then.. the opposite. Last week I went in for a slice on Friday at 7pm and was told they didn't have any and "wouldn't for a long time"... ok then. Just one bad experience didn't deter me. Tonight I ordered a small pie and a few apps for some friends that I was hosting. Attached is a picture of the pizza as it arrived. I live a few blocks away. Either this pizza was dropped or the driver was Toyoko drifting around the two corners between here and there. I'll be using slices on Ridge from here on out :( read more

We just ordered from here about an hour ago. We ordered the cheese Stromboli with green peppers, cheese fries, and hot wings. It's above average for a pizza shop! The Stromboli was tasty. The cheese fries were good although I would ask for less cheese next time (personal preference). The hot wings were really good - cooked well! Light and tender. They had it ready for pickup in 20 minutes! Edit: I had to add an update because I recently ordered for delivery. I wasn't feeling well and didn't want to have to pick it up. Although I love the food, it's absurd that a small order took almost two hours! I was so disappointed. I guess if I eat here again I will only do pickup. Found Frank's on GH when my normal go to pizza place was closed. I decided to try here because they have a huge menu and specials. We ordered a cheese pizza, pepperoni pocket, chicken fingers and a turkey and cheese hoagie. Everything arrived amazingly fast. The delivery guy was very nice and the food was fantastic. Of course Yelp brought me here! I was visiting Philly and have no idea what good places around are. It's on a corner and there's actually a ton of parking in the neighborhood. The employees are super friendly too! I ordered the baked ziti with meatballs and a side salad. It's a really good price especially for the portion. I ended up splitting it into two meals. Great pizza! Delicious not too thick crust, tangy and flavorful tomato sauce, generous amount of fresh gooey cheeses and speckled with Italian herbs and spices. Include my favorite topping (pepperoni) and you have a darn good pie. Frank's is a small neighborhood pizza shop on a slightly hard to find corner in East Falls. If you drive there from Ridge Ave, you will have to navigate through some pretty small streets and a one lane bridge to get there. If you drive to Frank's Pizza from Henry Ave, you will drive though a suburban setting with hills and dales. No matter how you get there, you will enjoy some of the best pizza around town. read more

I was recently transferred back into East Falls and one of the very best things about the transfer is that I am once again less than 300 yards from the door of Frank's Pizza. Frank's makes one of the best pies in the city, no question. Fresh, chewy, doughy crusts; Garlicky, refreshing sauce (which, actually, i could use a little more of); and thickly layered, stretchy, gooey deliciously real mozzarella (which they sometimes put on half an inch thick!). Best thing is that sometime in the last couple years they got a warming case, so the pizzas they have for slices stay warm and gooey and instantly ready for eating! The cheesesteaks are heavy and delicious and they have any kind of cheese you'd want available. The Hot Roast Beef is good, but the quality of the gravy varies according to who's cooking. The strombolis are heavy and delicious, but not rolled-- just a pizza dough folded in half (they accurately call them Pockets here). Their french fries are always perfect, and the side order is pretty huge (some days, it's my whole meal). Their fried chicken and wings are also good. Pretty much everything is quality, and everything is fresh, so anything you get will be good. Frank's also has great specials-- Cheesesteak, fries and soda; Hoagies, chips and soda, etc. As with some great take-out spots, they also offer sampler platters of sides and chicken, etc. The prices here are good anyway, but the specials make them great! Frank's is one of my favorite take-out places in the city for many reasons, not the least of which is how nice the people who work there are and how there's always a sports debate going on. When you're a regular here, it feels like family! It was the very first place i stopped in on my first day back-- I was just too excited to see Mills and be able to talk about the Phils again! read more
