My absolute favorite spot to dine at while visiting Philly for the first time. I wanted to enjoy a few different items from their menu and ended up ordering the fried goat cheese salad along with their grilled cheese/vegan tomato bisque combo. I altered my salad to fit my dietary needs and substituted strawberries and sliced almonds for the bacon and candied pecans. Absolute best salad I've ever had in my entire life! Even the two servers were like "I'm gonna order that for lunch." The fried goat cheese balls were perfect! I wish a couple more were included in the salad but it included five. The grilled cheese had a mix of variety cheeses, including farmers and a couple more that I cannot name. There was also a bit of arugula in the sandwich, which was a very nice refreshing crunch. The bread soaked up the soup nicely upon dunking, and the bite was perfect. The vegan tomato bisque was hard to believe was vegan! My lovely server brought out a sample of it before anything else, and it was absolutely delicious! I was not able to finish everything in one sitting but left this place feeling very satisfied and happy. Highly recommend if you're in the area. The ambiance inside was lovely, with natural sunlight coming in through the windows in the upstairs dining area, and the tables had little tomatoes engraved in the corner. Loved all the tomato decor in the place, very adorable. Parking outside was ok. I think I got lucky a couple blocks away because I came for lunch. A solid spot for good pizza and soups, The Couch Tomato is a pleaser. The tomato bisque shooters for sure are a favorite of mine! I just wish management would be a little more on top of seating, but not so good with catering and take out. The dining area upstairs is super cute, we were sat all the way up on the third floor, which felt more intimate and calm than the second floor dining area. Our server was great, and we got little cups of tomato soup as a free treat! I loved the soup, and honestly wish I ordered that instead of the eggplant dip. The food was alright. Such a great salad !! This salad had so many fresh flavors and ingredients. I also loved the green goddess dressing that I added to the salad! We recently came here for dinner. One of our go tos. We really love the agave wings and the tomato soup. Both are always amazing and this time was no different. We had the coach tony pizza and didn't like it as much as previously. Still decent but it seemed to have too much of the honey and tasted really sweet. A friend suggested this place to me based upon a lot of vegetarian options and the location in Manayunk. I have since been back twice. The food is great. There is a wide selection on the menu and meat eaters can get a great burger while the salads and of course, the tomato soup are great. It's fun to sit upstairs and stare out at the street. The servers are all energetic and nice. The only thing that is a little odd and it certainly hasn't affected my experience is that the place has like three names. Each table gets a complimentary soup shooter- gluten and dairy free tomato bisque. It was really good but a bit bitter. Coach Tony pizza- hot honey pairs well with the other flavors. I came at lunch time during the week. They have lunch special items. Coworker and I ordered salads and pizza. The pizza is on the regular menu and you can customize your own. The salads are create your own too but I got the "fried goat cheese" salad. So good! It had a mountain of arugula on top, and plenty of toppings. I absolutely love couch tomato! the service and the food is just amazing...except for the Cacio e Pepe...just don't order that lol. Nonetheless I still give this place 5 stars cause everything else I get is always good (any of the pizzas, grilled cheese with their house tomato soup, their salads, and their drinks). And a huge shout out to Shane the driver!! It's rare nowadays to find a driver who is responsive and who proactively puts your food in a safe place when you can no longer meet them to get your food. Wow, an unexpected find in Manayunk Philly. We scratched the surface with our lunch selection while exploring Main Street on a hot day. We sat outside with our dog under their red umbrellas shielding ourselves from the sun's rays. Our server was super attentive. My wife had the Waygu beef burger med-well with sweet potato fries, both were cooked to her perfection. I had their quinoa gain salad and added grilled chicken, was fantastic, the flavor and size really hit the spot. Their house lemonade was delightful on this hot summer day.
