Sometimes I just want good pizza from a pizza shop. No frills, no commercial company, just good pizza. That's Overbrook Pizza for me. I've only had their pizza (large sausage) and it was nothing short of gooodt! I could tell the dough wasn't frozen and it was thick enough to withstand the cheese and sauce (I can't bang wit soggy pizza). My girlfriend and I drove down to Philly to try Larry's, Kobe's favorite cheesesteak spot. Shortly after trying it, we found out that Will Smith's favorite cheesesteak was right around the corner (4 min drive)! As we waited, we admired the photos of Will Smith on the walls and read the reviews that the restaurant had posted. Reading the reviews made our mouths water. Even though we each had already eaten a cheesesteak, we got up and ordered a personal size pizza in addition to our pending order. That was probably the best decision that we made. The food was ready in a mere 10 minutes. The bread on the cheesesteak was crunchy on the outside but got softer as you reached the core of the sub. There was a perfect balance of cheese and meat, and the lettuce and tomato added a degree of freshness to the sandwich that curbed the heavy feeling that a typical cheesesteak gives you. This my first time eating Overbrook Pizza and to be honest, their just okay. A couple ppl told me they were real good but I didn't get that so I kinda went with the hype, especially when you know Will Smith still show them love. I had their cheesesteak and pepperoni stromboli. The cheesesteak lacked alot for what I asked for and that was disappointing cause cmon I barely tasted the mayo or ketchup, tasted more cheese and bread than anything which is crazy cause there was alot of meat. I tasted some onion but not much. I'm sorry but they steak like a 2/5 and with that being said smells are deceiving too cause it smelled like it was going to be banging but nope. Which now leads me to the pepperoni stromboli. Now that was pretty decent cause the flavor and the appearance of the Golden dough. I was visiting the area looking at apartments and I think I found my go-to pizza place! Staff is very friendly and the pizza was delicious. I'm not one to often eat the crust, but this one was one of the best I've eaten. So, this is where my buddy took me to get a 'good cheesesteak' after we had a disappointing outing to Peno's (yeah, because Pat's and Geno's are pretty much the same to me.) We drove here and this was after having cheesesteak belly from the other visits. If Overbrook's was just decent on a full stomach it would have to be pretty good on a normal day. What I got instead was a GREAT cheeseteak that I ate in no time at all. My friend and gf were amazed with the speed that I demolished this sandwich after having eaten twice prior. I thought that I had amazing stromboli until I came to Overbrook. This small shop is family-owned and operated and seems to be a neighborhood staple. They are a no frills kind of place with traditional flavors (read as: you won't get a Buffalo Chicken or General Tsao pizza from this place) and top notch ingredients. All of the meat toppings are always juicy and full of flavor (pepperoni, sausage, and steak). Moreover, their food actually satisfies (not like other places where the ingredients are so poor that you find yourself eating a whole pizza and still wanting more). One thing that might be an issue for some is order timing. Specifically, it's not unusual to place a pick-up order and be told to arrive within 20 minutes, only to realize that you have to wait 10-20 more minutes. Generally, I place orders when I'm at least 40 minutes out. This way, my food is actually done when I arrive. Overall, I highly recommend this place. Order ahead. Expect it to be busy! read more

Not too thick, not too chewy, not too greasy but has lots of cheese. Simply, a really good basic pizza. Pre-COVID, delivery was timely. I order from here about 6x a month with my coworkers. I never had a personal encounter with anyone from there, but have heard much about the lack of customer service. Today, I was craving the wings so bad and my daughter wanted pizza. When we went to order I asked for my wings to have extra sauce. Once the order was ready I asked if the blue cheese had been put in the bag (THEY ALWAYS PUT RANCH when my coworkers and I order) and he said it was. My husband opened the bag to check and the gentleman said "if I said it's in the bag, it's in the bag & if it's so many mistakes why do ya'll keep coming back?" In our opinion he posed a great question, so we asked for a refund which was for $46.33.
