I reached out last minute hoping to order two dozen mini cupcakes for the ICU staff caring for a close friend's mother. Not only did Krista accommodate the order on such short notice, she personally handwrote my note and had everything ready for pickup right when the shop opened the next morning. The cupcakes looked absolutely delicious, and more importantly, the ICU staff genuinely appreciated the gesture. It meant so much to be able to support my friend and her family from afar, and Krista made that possible with such care and thoughtfulness. During a very difficult time, she provided a small but meaningful way to say thank you to the people providing essential care. That kind of service is rare. Also, I have my eye on the zucchini gluten-free cupcakes, which look incredible and have rave reviews--so I will definitely be back to try more. Thank you again, Krista. Truly above and beyond.

The zucchini must make them naturally moist and they stay moist for days--if they aren't eaten on the first day we buy them. My family has enjoyed cupcakes from Sugar from the Heart for 10+ years. They've stayed consistently delicious and the quality has never wavered. My oldest daughter is my peanut butter lover so her go to birthday treat used to be their chocolate peanut butter cupcakes and even though she still loves them the zucchini cupcakes have surpassed them. I think the zucchini cupcakes have a brown butter frosting that is this cupcake's perfect partner. It really seems to be a family run business. There are two young men who might be one of the owner's sons and they are both friendly and kind. Like their mother. Multiple cupcake and other types of cake places have cropped up in the vicinity over the years but my heartfelt opinion is that Sugar from the Heart is still the best.

All communication was done by email with a couple text messages. Cheyberries responded to all inquiries and follow up questions in a timely manner. Before committing, I ordered a sample cake box so my family and I could taste the cake. We choose vanilla batter with blue buttercream icing on the inside and outside. Everyone agreed that the cake was good, so we placed a deposit for the cake. We also received a dozen free cupcakes through one of her promotional emails. On the day of the event, Cheyberries delivered the cake directly to our venue on time. Long story short, the cake turned out even more beautiful than I imagined and was one of the highlights of the event. It was literally the talk of the room! For example, I have been to plenty of events where people politely take a slice of cake, but I have never seen guests go back for seconds and finish the entire cake before the event was even over. For those who aren't familiar with the Black Forest, it's a rich chocolate sponge cake soaked in sweet cherry syrup and layered with smooth vanilla mousse and luscious cherry mousse topped with decadent chocolate shavings and cherries. Price was $39.99 which is very reasonable. She sent me a link over the phone for payment. Made easy peezy! Thank you miss! I have never bought a whole Black Forest cake in the past and the first one I buy happens to be eggless. So cool! And this was my very first time eating an eggless cake. Even cooler! They are closed on Mondays so I had to pick up the cake on Sunday. It was perfect because I was coming home from Carlsbad so it was on my way. It turned out this bakery is inside the Pioneer Cash & Carry grocery store. I informed the nice young lady behind the counter that we would not be eating the cake until Tuesday. She suggested I place the cake in the freezer that Sunday night and take it out at 7:00 PMish on Monday night to have it defrost gradually in the frig before consumption on Tuesday afternoon.
