BEWARE of this place! Ordered a cake for my wife's surprise party was absolutely disappointed!! Pictures don't lie!!! Doesn't look nothing like I ordered and they were one hour LATE!! I'm going to include pictures of what I wanted, the so-called cake they made, and my response to her! She shared she was going to share, I had every right responding like that!! I told her I wanted that cake without the label and flowers. If you look at the pictures, it looks horrible!! No silver beading, white roping and no fondant on half of the cake. Part of it was damaged on the back! They used actual gift ribbon for the black part, not actual fondant!! The detail of the entire cake was disturbing!! On top of that I was specific on them being on time. I paid the delivery fee so that happens!! They were supposed to be there at 10:45, they show up at 11:45 when I was walking up for the surprise entrance! Proof of that is also in the txt with the pic!! Oh, she'll probably say something about this, so I'll say it. It was a surprise party so my cousin was helping me order the cake and I called to pay for it! She was rude and upset that she had to talk to both of us! What a joke!!
The cake came out amazing. Asked for a classic, stab heart shaped cake with 2 shades of purple. Baby breath and bows with a very lengthy quote. It was delivered to our home with no hassle and instructions. Kindra did a great job! Everyone loved it and flavor combos with lemon cake and raspberry filling was delicious and not dry at all. I'll be sure to order again.
Amazing service!!! I sent photos and explained what I needed and let me tell you they executed it perfectly!!! Pricing was great especially for something so personal and custom made. The cake its self was delicious! With so many flavors it was definitely hard to choose from. I especially loved the delivery service made everything a breeze while I cooked for my party and didn't need to worry about picking up a cake. I see a lot of bad reviews about customer service but honestly it just sounded like a lot of back and forth with customers who weren't ready to spend money on something unique. Art is unique and not everyone can make something so special. (Mind you the cake was well under $200!) I know lots of places that charge for lots more that may have nice designs but not great tasting cake! I will order time and time again, I definitely recommend these wonderful people for ALL cake occasions.
I want to start by saying the cake was absolutely beautiful, I'll include a photo for reference. The design exceeded my expectations, and the quality and flavor were amazing. I was also on a budget, and Kindra was incredibly generous in offering me a discount after learning the cake was for my nephew's funeral. I truly appreciated that kindness and compassion during a difficult time. That said, there were a few challenges with the experience that I feel are important to share. I had provided the date and time of the service when placing my order and scheduled the pickup for the day before, since I was traveling and wouldn't be in Long Beach the morning of. I didn't realize fondant cakes shouldn't be refrigerated, and on the day of pickup, Kindra mentioned she hadn't realized the service was the next day and recommended I get the cake the morning of instead. Since I couldn't pick it up myself, she kindly offered free delivery for 9:45 a.m. the day of the funeral, which I was very grateful for. Unfortunately, there was an emergency on her end, and she was delayed , which I completely understand, as life happens. However, communication afterward became stressful. When I asked for an ETA, she wasn't able to provide one, and once the cake was delivered, she contacted me for the remaining balance. At that point, I was leaving the burial and heading to the repass. I asked for a photo or confirmation of delivery before sending payment, but she became quite aggressive through texts and calls, insisting I pay immediately. I explained that I just needed about 30 minutes to confirm the cake had arrived, as I wasn't there in person and didn't know who to contact right away. Thankfully, a family friend sent me a picture confirming delivery, and I immediately sent the balance plus a $40 tip. I want to emphasize that what I paid didn't come close to the true value of her work, the cake itself was phenomenal. I only wish the customer service interaction had been handled with a bit more patience and understanding, especially given the circumstances. Overall, I would still recommend this bakery for the quality of their cakes. they are stunning and delicious. However, I'd suggest meeting in person beforehand or confirming all details clearly to ensure a smoother experience.

I was looking for a bakery to bake my gender reveal cake and Bake My Day exceeded my expectations. Not only was the cake beautiful but it also tasted AMAZING! The communication was fast and they responded to my inquiry and all my questions right away. This place will definitely be my go to for cakes and sweet treats here in Long Beach.
If you want a STRESSFUL ordering cake experience go right ahead and order here. Mine was just an overall bad experience. My first 2 times ordering where not to bad. Ordered my cake (very minimal communication) she delivered all went well. This 3rd time was my final straw. Cake was 2 hrs late, (I did receive a $50 discount). Delivery through uber, (which I had no idea up until arrival time) and to top it off the design was poor to taste. I was hoping the taste would be worth the wait (late time arrival) but to my disappointment the flavors where completely off. Ordered cream cheese (got regular frosting). Again, quality and effort where not there. I did pay $280 original quite $330 with my discount. I won't be ordering again- lesson learned
If you ever need a custom cake made, then Bake My Day is the business to go to! I've had Kindra make me a few customized cakes from Disney related ones, to ones made to look like food dishes. Kindra is very friendly, and is talented at her craft of baking delicious foods! Please give her your orders in advance with at least 2 weeks notice so she can plan accordingly! I've ordered at least 5 times, and everything came out beautifully & delicious! Give her business a try if you need a custom cake made!
DO NOT GIVE BUSINESS! Asked for a standard invoice before sending a deposit to confirm the cake size, total price, and order details. The business REFUSED and insisted payment be sent first, and took immediate defense! When I explained why I prefer invoices for my record, the response quickly became defensive and I was immediately met with "in all that time you spent explaining you could've already had your invoice AFTER a payment" and "thank you for explaining how to run my business"? It's a HUGE red flag to take that tone and defensiveness with customers, especially with a simple request of an invoice to solidify the order. Speaks VOLUMES of the business and customer service!! I CLEARLY will NOT give my money and support a business with this kind of service. I requested a smaller cake as well, and THIS WAS THE LAST MESSAGE THE OWNER WROTE?? "Sorry we can't accept food stamps"?? even after blocked! READ THE TEXTS! DO NOT SUPPORT THIS BUSINESS ITS DISGUSTING BEHAVIOR!
I gave Kendra a few images of what I wanted my cake to look like. I gave her color themes and requested a marbled Tres Lèche. And she magically made it to perfection, fresh the same day and delivered it to the venue. It was so magical! My son couldn't believe his eyes and the guests all wanted her contact because the cake not only looked like magic but tastes so delicious! She magically encased a tres lèche cake inside that 2 tier cake! This cake served 45 people. Kendra was very professional and amazing to work with! Your imagination is the limit because she can make anything! I highly recommend her for all custom cakes!
This is my second time ordering with Kindra. Ordering through text is efficient as I can send her pictures of what I want, and she immediately responds with a price quote. Fair and upfront pricing. When needing to meet a budget, she suggests what can be removed to bring the cost down. Our first cake was 2 years ago, flavor and taste was good and design was good. This time we ordered a heart shaped cake, and Kindra came through with exactly what we were looking for.
I've gotten around 3 cakes from Bake My Day! When I say we are WOW'd every time we mean it! My friends/family LOVE how beautiful they look and they are always similar to the inspo photos. At this point I'm just going to stick to them since I haven't been let down and I know my money is going to a great cake. They've all been wonderful taste wise too. While I haven't had to pick them up my partner has never had an issue getting the cake on time and service has always been friendly. Thank you so much for making our cakes special !!

I never officially placed an order with this company but I am writing a review for the poor customer service. I am helping my sister plan her son's 5th birthday party so I asked this company their pricing with an example photo. It was a little outside of our budget so I asked if we can get any sort of discount in which they replied. That is totally okay to not budge on your price but with that being said it is my right to get quotes elsewhere. They were very pushy and took it upon themselves to double text and say 1) they won't do business with me 2) they won't provide me with quotes 3) and saying I should go to a cheaper bakery 4) telling me "good bye" Furthermore when they first sent me a text starting they will not provide me any more quotes I understood as I am sure to not get an order for me was frustrating. So I replied saying sorry and that it wasn't up to me as it wasn't my money. However them further sending me another text that I should find a "cheaper cake, goodbye, we don't want your business" was VERY CHILDISH. I thought it was extremely uncalled for. I've been coming to Bake My Day bakery for several years now, and I can't say enough good things about Christine and her incredible work. Every year, she creates a custom cake for my granddaughter's birthday, and each one has a completely different theme--and a new challenge! Not only do her cakes look amazing, but they taste just as good.. Christine has never once disappointed us. She even impressed my husband with a cake for his 60th birthday! I just needed to share photos of my second cake by Bake My Day. She came through at the last minute with an absolute HIT! Not only was the cake sooo adorable, it was delicious. So delicious my diabetic friend who "just wanted a taste" ate a whole SLICE. I love that the cakes can be customized. I don't remember everything I selected but damn the cake is good!!! I am definitely returning for ALL my cake needs and I can not thank Kiindra enough! The cakes are always the center peice for my birthday parties and since my old baker moved too far for me to justify the price and miles, I was left to find a new baker. My first baker flaked and Kindra came through sooooo clutch (that's still the hip phrase right, clutch?) BTW, it's even better the next morning with a hot cup of coffee. CLICK ON THE 1 STAR REVIEWS and listen to your fellow yelpers!! I had thought, "nah....lemme give this business owner the benefit of the doubt"...but nope. Everything everyone wrote on here is true about the terrible customer service. I was trying to order a cake for a surprise birthday for my husband, and started off excited to get him a custom cake. While I do understand that I am order this cake on Thursday for Sunday, she could have very professionally but POLITELY let me know this is too short of a timeline, or that there are other customers ordering at the same time and she can only choose one to move forward with (???? Such a weird way to do business). I called/first texted her around 11:30am, asked her more questions around 1pm (bc hello, some of us have to work!), she didn't respond until about 2pm but somehow by 2:30pm I was "too late" and another customer took my spot??? Lol. Hopefully I just caught her on a bad day, but looking at these other reviews, looks like she has lots of bad days!! I am in the service industry too, and it is my job to NOT let my clients be affected by whatever kind of day im having!! If you want to still order be fair warned by me and all these other yelpers...maybe you'll be lucky and catch her on a good day lol. If you're if you are looking for a custom-made cake, I ended up ordering from Dragon Bakery in the same area (Hacienda Heights) who was MORE than accommodating (which btw, if you're Chinese like me says A LOT hahahahaa), super nice, responsive, didn't make me feel rushed or pushed to have to order (they only ask for a 2 day advance order) AND about $60 CHEAPER!!! The level of unprofessionalism from the owner was incredibly disappointing. I ordered a cake and specified the pick-up date as Monday or Tuesday, and asked which day I could pick it up. The owner stated she would respond the next day to inform me which of the two dates I could pick it up but she never responded. I sent her a follow-up message asking for an update, and still no response. Two days later I cancelled the order and requested a refund of my deposit. She claimed the cake was already done and would not provide a refund. I requested she send a picture of the cake then she changes the statement to it's not done yet, just baked. She continued to send harassing texts even after I said to stop messaging me, and stated I was upset because I wasn't getting my way. Obviously if you pay for something and are told you'll have an answer by a certain date, you expect they deliver on the promise. So if you place an order with Bake my Day, don't expect to get what you're promised, and expect to be harassed when you cancel the order because that promise was not fulfilled. If you're looking for professionalism, with gorgeous cakes and incredible quality ingredients, order from Susie Cakes in Long Beach and save yourself headache and the harassment. read more

She's done it again! So glad I hired Kindra! She really puts in her all and made ordering really easy and pleasant. My mom and I are so delighted with the finished product. Looks even better than the model photo I provided as the inspiration for this cake. I meant it when I said that I'd be hiring Kindra again and recommending her services to all my friends and family. First of all let me start off by saying how important Dia de los Muertos is to the Latino community and today is that day! I had an unexpected get together with family that called for a last minute cake. I live in Palm Springs and have slim to zero resources and NONE matching up to the quality and talent Bake my Day provided me today. In a panic not finding resources where I lived I took a chance and found Kindra who not only was able to accommodate me despite being fully booked but she also delivered! My family is in LA and if you are looking for a high quality and overly accommodating baker, Bake my Day is now our #1 go to! Finding a baker 100 miles away from home who came through for us LAST minute that you can put all your faith in is unheard of these days. KINDRA IS A DREAM MAKER! I called her with a VERY last minute/unusual cake order for my cousin's birthday...I assumed with the late notice it was going to be a hard no, and it was an "oh yeah, I can absolutely" which I loved. Sent over a few photos and she quoted me immediately for each option provided. And when I picked up the cake! Lemme tell you, she DID NOT disappoint. Incredibly impressed with her talents and was borderline sad we had to cut into the cake...I had become attached. We named him Oscar RIP Oscar Kindra is super responsive and really kind. All I can say is this baker is a masterfully artful cake designer and flavor technician. I ordered a custom Legend of Zelda cake from Bake My Day and was beyond thrilled with the result! The cake was visually stunning, captured the intricate detail of the iconic controller, but it also was incredibly delicious. The flavor albeit a typical crowd pleaser (red velvet) was equally impressive - moist, rich, and perfectly balanced. It was a special surprise for "Superman" who is a major gamer/collector so this made for a most memorable birthday. This cake was truly a showstopper which is why I'm ordering again, this time a different theme! Can't wait! By far the best custom cake experience I have ever had! I was looking for someone to make the cake for my baby shower and gender reveal, so (as you can imagine) I was very particular about who to hire. I looked all around Yelp and scrolled through dozens of businesses. I was looking for design quality, taste, and delivery to my city... and came across Bake My Day! Kindra was so helpful, patient, and transparent from start to finish. I sent her photos of what I wanted, along with extra colors and elements that were not in the photo of the sample cake. I had to trust that the design in my head could be achieved. To top it off I couldn't taste the cake flavors prior so needless to say, I was super nervous!!! On the day of my shower and reveal, the cake arrived at the promised time and was delivered with so much care!! When she opened the box, I was thrilled to see that it was everything I asked for!! And when I tasted the cake, I was floored... we ordered piña colada and banana split with all vanilla buttercream frosting (yum)! I contacted them 2 weeks before I needed my custom cake. I got a response to my inquiry right away! I sent two pictures for reference, mentioned I was feeding 12-15 people, requested the flavor/filling, and that was that! A quote & ALL of the information I needed regarding deposit and pickup details were immediately sent; so I had no questions/confusion. Kindra made my cake and when I picked it up, it looked exactly how I wanted! They were kind enough to bring the cake to their Rancho Cucamonga location so I didn't have to drive over an hour to pick it up! The woman who gave me my cake was perfectly pleasant, professional and pickup went smoothly! They will definitely have my business the next time I need a custom cake!
