I love that they had interesting flavors and even seasonal flavors as well, such as hot cocoa. I tried their carrot and banana butterscotch with chocolate chip. Both were delicious but I liked the carrot one better. It even had raisins and pineapple in it I think. It was moist and the cream cheese frosting was yummy. The banana butterscotch one was good too but not as moist and the frosting was a little too sweet for my taste. But both were good. Besides bundt cakes of different sizes, they also had cookies and ice cream sandwiches. Lots more flavors too. I do want to come back and try their other flavors and cookies. I highly recommend if you are looking for al alternative Bundt cake spot in the area. Parking is easy since it is located in a strip mall and share a lot. It's a grab and go type of spot. Such a cute little cakery! I placed an online order and despite being early to pick-up my order was ready right away! Customer service was great, the staff was really kind and made sure to let me know about a promo happening that day so I was able to redeem a free item - how cool! And also let me know about the rest of the month's promos as well. Parking is pretty easy, there is a shared lot with other business, but there were a couple spots open when I came. The items tasted fresh and well made. I got a 7 layer bar, a peanut butter bar, and a seasonal small Bundt cake. I only personally tried both bars, and enjoyed both. They also answered my questions and gave me recommendations of what I should try. I got two "Just for you" bundt cakes, which were the perfect size for one person. Really disappointed... The cake was nice. It was really really cute, but the frosting recipe has changed significantly. It used to be where you could just eat it plain because it was so good. Now it's all gritty with sugar. They've changed something with the ratio of cream cheese versus powdered sugar I guess. I'm not really sure. But then also there was the issue of buying it online buying it in person. And that lost me out points for a $65 purchase. Which pretty much sucked. I can't believe they can't merge the two systems. Who's more creative? A creative writer or Creative Cakery? There's no way I can answer that question, but if you're questioning whether or not you should make a stop here, I'll answer yes! So if not for Fivestars, I wouldn't have known about this small bake shop on the southeast corner of Spring and Clark. It's in a pretty small plaza with room for maybe about 15 cars in front, but there are additional angled parking spots on either side of the building, which houses Creative Cakery and a few other eateries. When COVID was rampant, that lot would turn into a picnic on concrete, so the only place to park was in the surrounding neighborhoods or in the lot just on the other side of Clark. Creative Cakery specializes in...you guessed it. Cakes! But they also sell cookies, bars & bites. The perfect dessert for a birthday party, pot luck, or any other special occasion really. So far, I've only tried their cupcakes and a bundt cake, but all have been so good I'm confident that all of my sweet tooth Yelp friends would enjoy as well! The cupcakes aren't your usual cupcakes that you'll see at a traditional supermarket. Instead, these cupcakes are much smaller. So small that the icing might be taller than the cake itself! However, whoever coined the phrase "Bigger is better" would likely have second thoughts after trying just one of their cupcakes. I've tried the poppyseed and carrot cupcakes, and I don't think I've ever had either flavor before in the form of a cupcake. Some might disagree, but I believe there's a nuance in taste whether you eat it immediately after purchase or let the cupcake thaw for a while prior to eating. I remember trying the carrot cupcake before driving home, and the frosting was still cold. When I tried the poppyseed cupcake after driving home, the frosting tasted more like what cupcake frosting should taste like. Each cupcake comes in a pretty small box with a Creative Cakery sticker on top, making for a nice surprise gift for a special someone :) Creative Cakery recently sent out an email to Fivestars customers announcing a cake giveaway where they were giving out Halloween-themed Chocolatey Chocolate Chip bundt cakes. I say Halloween-themed because each cake was placed inside a bag with some pretty cute Halloween decorations on the bag itself. Only a limited number (I believe it was 30) was given out, and I'm glad I got my hands on one! I forgot to ask how long their bundt cakes can last over the counter or in the fridge, but once I got home, I put it in my fridge and waited until later in the day to eat it. For a personal size bundt, I thought it was quite a lot, and I thought it had a little too much sugar because I was only able to eat half before saving the rest for the next day. Then again, it's probably because I've been trying to cut down on sugar this year. Nevertheless, I definitely enjoyed the cake! I don't know how much more chocolatey you can get than Chocolatey Chocolate Chip, but choco-holics will surely not be disappointed with this creative cake from Creative Cakery! On both days, I ate the cake immediately after taking it out of the fridge, and the frosting on the cake was almost frozen like vanilla ice cream! Chocolate cake with chocolate chips and vanilla ice cream sounds like the perfect birthday treat for kids, adults, and everyone else! Between Creative Cakery and any cake from Ralph's bakery department, Creative Cakery takes the cake! However, there were a couple things that happened on my last visit, which caused me to remove a star. First, when the cashier asked me for my Fivestars phone number, I noticed a customer had just stepped inside the shop, and so instead of verbally giving my number to her, I typed it on my phone and showed her. However, she verbally said my number out loud, which totally defeated the purpose of typing my number on my phone. Second, I already had a Fivestars reward for a free personal size bundt before I claimed the Halloween bundt, but apparently, my reward was used to claim the Halloween bundt even though I could have claimed a different free bundt before the fact. At least I got 12 points out of it when I wasn't expecting any, but I'm still far from the next reward tier, so I don't think those 12 points will do any good. Service has been pretty solid apart from that. The girls running the shop have always been cordial and appreciative of my business, so my 4-star rating is much closer to 5 than 3. Overall, it's a really nice shop that will surely please even the pickiest dessert connoisseur out there! The menu above the order counter doesn't actually list prices; instead, it just lists flavors and serving sizes, but you can always go to their website www.creativecakery.com to see how much each baked good costs. They open at 10 AM every day of the week, but they close at 3 PM on days that end in "nday"; otherwise, they close at 6 PM. Highly recommended! :) read more

OMG, so my coworker got me a slice of your Carrot Cake and it was absolutely scrumptious, the best I've ever had!!! I'm from the Westside and have had carrot cakes from Susie Cakes in Brentwood, NBC in Culver City, Uppers Cafe in SM, Huckleberry in SM (to name a few) and I must say.....yours is the absolute best!
