In addition to my growing cataract problem, my vision had steadily declined over 45 years periodically requiring stronger and stronger lenses. (Suddenly, at age 40, I couldn't read a newspaper.) While I don't recall who suggested Fisher Eye, it was only good luck that I wound up with Dr. Vaziri who suggested that my cataract removal could include a lens replacement that would eliminate my having to wear any glasses at all. Apparently, a fairly recent development in artificial lenses that would focus far, near, and in between was becoming routine and would work for me, even at my ripe old age of 85. Wow, I'm now, completely glasses free with 20/20 vision! Thank you, Dr. Vaziri. The procedure is not inexpensive, but, in my estimation worth it. No hassle, no pain, only gain. There were multiple signs posted directing patients to check in via QR code and the Clearwave online system, which I followed. Then I sat for 50 minutes with no communication--just waiting for my name to be called. When I finally approached the receptionist, she looked up my appointment and said she needed to get the manager. The manager came out and told me they had called to reschedule my appointment and left a message. I received no message whatsoever. To make matters worse, she tried to rebook me weeks out and at a different, less convenient location. When I asked why no one informed me sooner or checked on me while I sat there for nearly an hour, her tone immediately turned rude and defensive. She asked if I had signed in on a piece of paper--despite the fact that all signage instructed digital check-in only. I told her I followed their process exactly, yet she continued to speak to me with clear frustration and condescension. The way I was treated--especially by the manager--was unprofessional and completely unacceptable. I was the one who wasted my time, yet she acted as if I was the problem. I canceled my appointment and will not be returning. Patients deserve better communication and basic respect.

I am so disappointed with BP. I have a number of eye issues and, because of its reputation,…read morethought it would be a good match. After going there 4 years I have decided it is not. The final straw was having horrible reactions after eye injections at BP. I was miserable for almost 24 hrs after each one. Getting subsequent injections from my retinologist in Louisville with NO negative reaction I discovered that the only difference in the prep was BP uses Betadine after the injection, Louisville does not. Louisville does not experience a higher infection rate than considered normal. When I requested no Betadine after the injection at BP, I was told no. She said she had been doing it this way for 20 years and it's BP's procedure. Clearly patient comfort, without compromising safety, is not a priority. Plus, good luck trying to get an erroneous bill removed from an account. I tried 4 times with the accounting department and with collections. All said it appeared to be an error yet it still shows up as an outstanding bill. Definitely time for me to go else where.

One time I drive to the Bonita location (hour away) and they told me when I arrived that it was booked too soon for insurance. Naples office is roasting hot.
