Sent fax to wrong numbers…read more Although, I have 3 insurance policies, claimed a picture taken of my eye was not covered and costs $39.00. Cost never discussed until checkout. Claimed can only use one insurance per day. Called insurance and said that was false. Just a scam to get more than what insurance will pay. A little extra from each patient. I will be filing a complaint with Medicare and state. Can't recommend this office to anyone. I won't be going back.

Brad Snead determined the problem immediately and sent me to Heather, the optometrist in the office. She was so wonderful with me and went over all of my options. We scheduled an apt for 2 days later in the Naples office. She drove from the Ft Myers office just to see me and fix my glasses with a sticker. My son came with me and we both went on and on about how fantastic she was with me! I highly recommend this office for all of your eye care needs. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I will be switching to Snead Eye Group from my current eye doctor! Thank you!!!! Unfortunately, I have to edit this post. Dr. Snead failed me. I was there for diplopia and Dr. Snead quickly passed it off as an acute condition that would most likely resolve itself. It continued to worsen so I went to another ophthalmologist who immediately sent me for an MRI. They found multiple lesions in my brain. If I had not gone for a second opinion I wouldn't have know that I have cancer that had spread to my brain causing my vision problems. Dr. Snead may be knowledgeable, but he needs to do a better job of educating patients and spending enough time with them to know what is really going on. I will not be going back. Heather was a great optician though so if you just need glasses, she is great.

As a result, I will have to wear prescription lenses. Office personnel are efficient and competent. I am certain their surgery success rate is better than 50% but I would not return for any reason.

While Dr Taba is great, the management of her office is terrible. I had to wait approximately 4…read morehours, when other drs for same treatment are 1-1/2 to 2 hours. I waited 2 hours between the eye photo scan (for which I waited almost 1hour after check-in at appointment) and the visual acuity test and then another approximate 1 hour to see doctor- for approximate total 4 hours. Other offices (i have been to three others for injections due to drs retirement and a move) have 10 minutes or less wait between eye photo scan and visual acuity test. Those offices are run efficiently. When checking out I asked receptionist about the incredible delay, she responded that Dr. Taba spends far more time with patient than other docs. the three other docs I have been to have spent no less time with me than Dr Taba so that clearly was not the reason for the incredible wait. After my appointment, I got a text request to review which said if I was not going to give a good review, to instead call the office and discuss with them rather than post bad review. I did that and my discussion with their office was awful- rude, defensive and did not listen to my experience. Hence why I am posting my review here. The office clearly books way too many appointments all at once (in fact when I arrived so many patients in waiting room no place to sit but 4 hours later at only 1:45 pm waiting room empty) and has no decent procedure to move patients efficiently through the process As other well runs offices do. The office does not stagger the appointments As other offices do. Terrible experience- four hours wait for what at other drs office takes 1-1/2 to two hours just because of their failure to stagger appointments and then rude behavior when questioned. I am so disappointed with BP. I have a number of eye issues and, because of its reputation,…read morethought it would be a good match. After going there 4 years I have decided it is not. The final straw was having horrible reactions after eye injections at BP. I was miserable for almost 24 hrs after each one. Getting subsequent injections from my retinologist in Louisville with NO negative reaction I discovered that the only difference in the prep was BP uses Betadine after the injection, Louisville does not. Louisville does not experience a higher infection rate than considered normal. When I requested no Betadine after the injection at BP, I was told no. She said she had been doing it this way for 20 years and it's BP's procedure. Clearly patient comfort, without compromising safety, is not a priority. Plus, good luck trying to get an erroneous bill removed from an account. I tried 4 times with the accounting department and with collections. All said it appeared to be an error yet it still shows up as an outstanding bill. Definitely time for me to go else where.

I told a couple of my friends and they said that I can't fly that soon after so I called Frantz and the woman who answered also said I can't fly that soon. She said someone would call me back to schedule my surgery. I did not receive a call back so I called over the weekend and left a message letting them know no one had called me back. Someone did call on Monday morning but I missed their call. I quickly called back and the person who called was unavailable and would call me back. I did not get a call back. I called and cancelled and told the woman all the issues I had and how I didn't feel comfortable having surgery at a facility that doesn't return your calls and that gives incorrect information and she said "Ok, we will cancel everything. Call back if you change your mind." HA! I don't think so.

There comes a time when your eyes develop cataracts. I have had cataracts for over 10 years, but…read morethey were never bad enough to operate on. I went in for my eye checkup, and Dr. Byerly said it was time. There are many different surgeries for cataracts. I chose to pay extra for my new lenses to cure most of my eyesight issues. During the surgery, I was alert but sedated. I received specific instructions from Dr. Byerly, which I could obey. They do one eye and then schedule you for the other eye. I had my left eye done first. I could tell a difference, but it was not what I expected. When the right eye was completed, everything changed, and it kept changing. I could see tiny items I hadn't seen in years without my readers. My vision will be almost perfect as my brain adjusts to the new lenses in my eye. Amazing.
