My family and I have been frequenting this establishment for he past 30 years. I am by myself in this world now and decided to revisit an old favorite last night. It was 1/2 price burger night. I was not impressed with the service or the ability to make a mixed drink by the staff. I requested a Manhattan and was told that none knows how to make that. Then I received the wrong order, it was not the burger I ordered and the side of fries were not served. The place was not very busy, so I don't understand the confusion. While I was waiting, I decided to play the jukebox, but there was no music to be heard. When I asked the bartender, he said "OH" I need to turn the volume up, so I was out a dollar that I plugging in for a song. No refund, no "I'm Sorry" nothing. This place has gone to Hell and I won't be returning. It's a shame to lose what was a great neighborhood hangout. It's now just a place on the strip. I won't be returning.... read more

How does a person describe Fraziers? It's like describing water or America. Both simple and super complex. Fraziers is a Hampden institution. Do you wanna drink cheap beer? Play pool? Eat a cheesesteak? Mingle with literally everyone in the neighborhood all at once? Fraziers is your place. They are open all the time. Yes, even when there are12 inches of snow on the ground. That is actually the best time to come. You can watch a game here. You can dance on the Holiday Inn ballroom 1987 carpet here. You can chat with people you've passed 100 times on the street but never introduced yourself to. While the alcohol is cheap, especially for the neighborhood these days, the food is surprisingly good AF. This is a dive bar. Like a "think twice before using the bathroom" kind of dive bar (late at night). But the food is really good. Super solid cheesesteak and burger, awesome fries. The bartenders are great. They are not always friendly, but they are helpful, and will jam a pool stick up the pool table repeatedly and with great enthusiasm if you're missing a cue ball. If you haven't been here yet, you should come. You're not a Baltimoron yet if you haven't made at least one bad decision here. read more

Did you know Frazier's did breakfast?! It's perhaps the best diner food around, the service was great and honestly yes it's a dive but the bacon is crispy, and the pancakes are super fluffy! I kind of prefer Frazier's when it's empty versus the traditional very crowded slow service at the bar where you have to wait for a long time to get a drink. I will say during breakfast service it was a lot of the OG Hamden crowd and we stood out a little bit, but it was really quite delicious. Evidently, there are other food menu items are good, but I literally had not eaten here until recently for breakfast. The booth and diner vibes is really a hit in the morning light. read more

Recently visited to watch a Ravens game. Frazier's gives neighborhood dive bar. Complete with worn in pool table and jukebox. While here I ordered a few things. I took advantage of their shrimp special. One pound for 15.00. Shrimp were prepared perfectly. They were plump, fresh and adequately seasoned. I also ordered the mussels. Now this is where we had an issue. Some were overdone and some were underdone. Also they were tart. I sent them back and opted for a burger. The burger was deelish! Cooked to my specifications and served hot! Also while here I had a couple of delightfully boozy vodka tonics. Our server was amazing considering she had a hand injury and the only server on game day! Of course I'd come back because Frazier's is a Hampden staple, prices are great and everyone has an off day. I'm not sure how many reviews start with coleslaw but this one will. It's clearly homemade, very fresh, somehow crunchy and creamy at the same time, and well flavored. The ribs: only available on Wednesdays. Extremely generous portion, paired with the coleslaw and fries, all for $10. They were very meaty. I'd go so far as to say: substantial. Good flavor, fall-off-the-bone tender, and a bit of crust on the exterior. The sauce would be improved by adding more spice. The French fries, while not necessarily anything special, were crunchy and not overly salted. They were uniformly cooked and pleasingly hot. The southwest eggrolls with sriracha ranch dressing were a solid app choice. The temperature and texture were on point. My chicken Caesar wrap was okay, I probably filled up too much on egg rolls to make a legit judgment. Our server Brooke was delightful in every way. So I'm back again after a work trip!!! A whole year later and the service and hospitality remains consistent! I came in on a weekday and the music was playing and James the bartender was moving and shaking. I love that he pays each and every customer equal respect. I sat at the bar and watched him manage a crowded bar and he killed it!! He checked in with us frequently and never left us hanging. His margaritas 10/10!!! Be sure to have him make you one! The kitchen was closed by the time we arrived but the cocktails and beers made up for the disappointment!!! Thank you James for making my Wednesday a chill one!!! Overall, the place is a dive bar, and I mean that in the nicest way possible. If we were going there for just a few drinks, it would have been fine. I usually love hole in the wall places. We decided to go there as a meetup before going to the "famous" Christmas lights a few blocks away. Like I said, this place is a dive bar, and that's it. I wouldn't call it a restaurant. Went on a Tuesday night, ordered the special fish and chips. It was cold in the middle, so greasy and disgusting I couldn't eat it. Kids had a pizza from a microwave, and my buddy had a sandwich deep fried there was no taste. The BLT had NO BACCON! If you are looking for a terrible meal this is the place. You are better off going to the Royal Farms and getting something under a heat lamp. Not to mention it took 1:15 to get the food and there weren't many people in the place. read more

Checked out Frazier's on a Wednesday and it did not disappoint. The food and service were great. My husband loved the happy hour rib special. This is a place that is family friendly restaurant but later in the evening turns into a nice place for pool, music, and fun. The decor is eclectic and charming just like Baltimore. read more

I was told that this is a great place to watch a game, yet in the main room most of the TVs are small, there aren't that many of them, and the tables are poorly situated to view the screen. I absolutely love this spot. It's like a local watering hole and neighborhood gem mixed in one. I have tried all my personal favorites and never been disappointed, today was no different. I got the crab cake sliders and honey garlic wings and everything was good. I wish my wings were a bit more crispy but the flavor was great. Frazier's feels as if you've walked into a quintessential neighborhood bar. It's simple, homey, and classic Baltimore. Seriously - don't expect much more than your friendly neighborhood bar. While I haven't had much here other than beer, I've enjoyed every visit and always leave feeling better than when I walked in. Frazier's has a fairly large space including booths, bar seating, individual tables, and outdoor seating. As for ambiance, sports memorabilia, bobble heads, and beer signs embellish the walls and the constant lul of conversations fills the air. There's even a few pool tables and a jukebox in the back to keep you entertained. There's normally some sort of sports game on the television to distract you as you knock back a few cold ones too. I haven't had much food here so I cant comment on that but they have some of the most economical yet strong drinks on the Avenue so we always make it a stop when hitting multiple bars in the area. This past weekend was the first time I've actually eaten INSIDE Frazier's. I've had takeout from this spot multiple times, and last year I sat outside, but this past Sunday was my first full indoor experience! Frazier's is really long, lol. I feel like you walk miles just to get to the bar. Between the front door and the bar is a bunch of tables, and an area that made me think of a stage, requiring steps, and tables are there too. That's actually where my group sat. The bar is fully stocked with alcohol and beer, and past that are 2 pool tables in good condition and bathrooms. While the place seems super clean and immaculate, it's a dive. This is cool because I love dives. I went with Loose Canon as my drink of choice. I was torn between the gyro and shrimp salad sandwich. On my friend's advice, I went with the shrimp salad sandwich but had it in wrap form. I also decided to upgrade the chips that usually accompany a Frazier's sandwich to fries. The wrap looked amazing when it arrived at the table, and the fries were cooked to my desired consistency (crisp edges). Unfortunately, I bit into my wrap and was assaulted by Old Bay. [sigh] I am not from MD and so I don't get the obsession with this seasoning. And it irritates me that it's on everything EXCEPT actual food descriptions because I wouldn't order those items. Despite that, the shrimp was plentiful and I think without the Old Bay I would have loved the wrap. Thank goodness for the fries! Frazier's is a nice little "neighborhood" bar in the middle of the bustle of the avenue on Hamden. It's actually a tale of two bars. One side is bigger and still has a neighborhood feel but the smaller side is where I liked. It has a neighbors only type of feel, welcoming to all. Including new comers like me. The bartender was patient, had great suggestions and easy conversation. I ordered blackened salmon with Caesar salad and 10 buffalo wings (the wings were to go). The salad was much better than I expected from a bar. The salad was fresh and crispy, the salmon was cooked perfectly and tasted fresh. The drinks were well priced and plentiful. Parking can be difficult later in the day but over this place is a good time. I can see meeting here for happy hour with friends, coworkers or family. read more

Two of us came here last Friday evening to sit at the bar and to have dinner with a couple of beers. The lighting here is Very Dark and we had to use the cell phone flashlight to read the menu. I had the Ahi Tuna Salad on Spinach and the husband had the burger. I really enjoyed my salad-- it was really delicious and I ate every bite. Ditto for the burger and the husband. Definitely a dive bar so you should expect hot fried foods like wings, onion rings, tater tots, cold beers on draft and in bottles, and pool tables!! This was my first visit since I was craving old bay wings and the pictures looked good. They came out hot, crispy, well seasoned. Blue cheese dressing and celery was extra... I enjoyed an ice cold Allagash draft beer with this. Then I saw some lasagna on the menu and decided to try that! Why not? It's a dive bar!! The chef cooks what he likes. It was delicious!! The dish was bubbling when it came out. It was full of meat sauce and slightly chewy lasagna noodles topped with melty cheese!! With a side of garlic toast to scoop up the sauce! Great casual bar and restaurant... Seating area is very cool and if you play pool, a bonus as they have a table in the main room and a few in the pool room. If you're a fan of downtown Towson at 12AM during the Spring, you're probably not going to like it at Frazier's. But, if you're looking for a place where the barkeep will see you walk in the door and your drink will be waiting on the bar, you are looking for no-nonsense barfood, are hoping to get into a lengthy debate on which bar is better (Frazier's has 2 sides), and maybe meet your next best friend, I'd check out Fraizer's on your next evening out (or afternoon, they have brunch!). read more

Sunday stroll led us to this establishment and we opted for breakfast. The platter was crazy big for $8 and we received a free pancake the size of the plate. Have to say it was the best pancake that I have had in some time. Service was a little slow and it took a long time for the food to come, but hey, it added to the Sunday experience. read more

I've never eaten at Frazier's but I have been for drinks a few times. I love the neighborhood's fancy cocktail bars and hipster drinking spots, but Frazier's is an option for when you want something a little less fancy/hipster/expensive. It's traditional, a bit of a dive, not expensive, classic neighborhood bar. It's been around since the 1930s (although not at this current location), and it has that kind of old school neighborhood bar charm. It's a great late night spot. It has pool if that's your thing, too! It's my husband's favorite spot, because it's just so chill and casual. The service is good; it has your typical neighborhood bar options. I recently read a review where someone "EMMA" degraded one of the waitresses. Well let me correct the ignorance, Cathy has been one of the best servers we have ever had. Fast service, timely delivery and your drink never goes empty. I am appalled at the fact that someone has the balls to write a complaint and post someone' photo. You should be ashamed of yourself for your ignorant ways. I hope if anything it will be the request of Frazier's for you not to re-enter the facility. I have always liked going to Frazier's for food and pool. Went with 3 people earlier tonight and we got a booth. Order drinks and food and waited. After a while, 2 more people joined and we grabbed a table. The two new people got no service, so one of them went to the bar in the other area and got drinks for them. Eventually we got another round. After 30 - 40 mins, we asked about the soup we ordered and was told it would be coming but since everybody in the bar had ordered before us, it could be a little while. The last 2 people got to order food and more drinks. Soup came out and 15 mins later, the food arrived. Not long after that, the last 2 people got their food. Someone asked for the check and presented a card at the same time cause we had been there for an hour and a half at that point. Got the credit card print out and it was really high so I asked the waitress if I could get a print out of the check. She showed me a print out with only numbers so I couldn't figure out what was what. But I did see that tip was added and that didn't show on the credit card print out. It just said amount pre-tip so if I hadn't seen the check, we would have double tipped. All in all, not a great experience and I won't be going back for a while. read more

I've been to Fraziers one other time and the food was great! Last night, my boyfriend, his sister, and I came in for a bite to eat. Our bartender was great. The food took some time to come out, I did order a burger, but I asked for medium rare. It took about an hour or so to get our food, so I dug in immediately. After eating half, I noticed there was a lot more pink in the middle than I thought. I did finish the whole burger despite the pink because I did ask for it medium rare. Today, I had to leave work because I was sick multiple times. The only thing I ate was yesterdays burger. I hope in the future, they accurately check the temp of meat so that it's safe to eat. read more

If I could give this place zero stars I would, I'd like to start off saying my server was really rude to me the other day, yes it was busy but she had no right to get smart with me, when I asked what her name was very politely might I add she said her name was jadyen and that she was the youngest bartender/server so when I asked how old she was she told me she wasn't even old enough to pour drinks but this place allows her?!
