Wife and I have been wanting to get pierced for over a week now. We stopped by about a week ago. Both Google & Yelp said they were open. So we drove to the shop and guess what,.... Closed. Today we're on Water street and we still would like to get pierced. Tried calling, no answer, left a message on the answering machine over an hour ago and no reply. Yet Yelp and Google say their open. Not sure if they've actually closed permanently or if they just make up their own awkward work hours. Either way, poor business practice. UPDATE Saturday Sept 16th - I stand corrected. Evidently the wife and I tried visiting on Sunday and they're closed on Sundays. (Yelp and Google says that they're open) Left a message last Sunday, Jeremy the owner text me on Tuesday explaining that they're closed on Sundays. Made an appointment via text message. We visit on Wednesday and finally had the piercings we've been wanting done. Yaaaay Chatted with Jeremy for a while and he's a really genuinely nice guy, with a sweet Octopus tattoo on his head. I've hesitated to write this review, for about 6 months. I really do not like making negative reviews of any kind... But I work for the city of Henderson. So, this place is convenient, I'd seen the positive reviews, and as a family, we love to support local businesses . Anyway, I made an appointment for my sister to get a tattoo for her Birthday. The owner did her tattoo, and our mom went with her. She was crying in pain, because he hurt her so much! The man who did it, talked non stop about completely inappropriate topics, which really upset them both, with his animal killing topics. He wasn't paying attention at all, and obviously didn't read the room. The tattoo is completely uneven, nothing like the picture, and he really traumatized her. So she got a huge infection, and was very sick for 3 days, before she had to go to the ER I feel Absolutely horrible and responsible for sending her there. She did sign the paperwork , because she was so excited , but was given no advice on aftercare... until the doctor treated her with Bactrim oral antibiotics and Mupirocin cream. And told us it was a good thing we came when we did. The vibe is cool, the location is good, and I wanted to say the prices were reasonable, when I paid. But, under the circumstances, I can't honestly state many positive experiences. The bathroom was clean. read more

Jeremy is the best in town, hands down. My teenager has had two piercings done by him already; he was very patient with her, and very knowledgeable. I have been going to Jeremy since I was 15 years old, I get all of my work done by him. It has been 15+ years now and I will never go to anyone else. I have sent my sister, mom and many friends to get their work done by him. Jeremy has done some cover up work on me as well. I had started a tattoo with another artist, a present from a loved one, and ended up having to have Jeremy fix it. I am extremely happy with the way it came out, it surpassed my expectations. I love this place! I've gotten 2 tattoos here. The first one was with my best friend Kristy. She goes here regularly and her work is beautiful! She has like a water color look to her sleeve- and I'm obsessed with her new lion tattoo on her arm. We got a simple quote tattoo but it was done perfect. He (Jeremy) even worked on the fly with adding a little arrow under the quote. The second tattoo Jeremy did was a hummingbird. My sister, niece and I all got one (my sister was in California so she did hers at another place). Jeremy is awesome, super chill and great to be around. He has a soft hand so it didn't hurt (as bad as it could have I mean it is a tattoo after all lol) and it was done in like 10 minutes. It healed perfect, he puts a cover on it and I kept it on for 6 days. Didn't itch or have any issues. There is a lot of work being done on water street so give yourself a little time (I was late and he was cool about it but be on time- I felt so bad!). The door is off to the side of the building. You can just ring the doorbell and someone comes. They have private spaces/ rooms and one more out in the open. It wasn't crowded at all, everyone had their appointments. Definitely schedule, they accept walk ins but it all depends on their schedule and who's there. Prices are fair because their quality of work is solid. I came all the way from Long Beach, Ca to see Jeremy. We came to see him for my daughter 16th birthday. She got her first tattoo. Jeremy was super cool. When I told him that my daughter wanted to get a tattoo he said ok. Just bring her birth certificate and her school I.d and he needed a copy of my I.d. I was really happy that he asked for all the stuff. That let's me know he is by the book and just will not tattoo kids under the age of 18 without the parents consent. After 45 minutes, the same guy was still in the chair. One "artist" was walking around doing nothing, his family even showed up. Meanwhile after 45 minutes, I left! I am so glad I chose this place after reading a ton of reviews and making a dozen phone calls. So I got some piercings done - single forward helix (left ear only) and *NSFW* my nipples. Since I knew in advance I wanted these done I did a LOT of research to make sure I found the best place for what I wanted. I'm kind of anal like that. Initially, I wanted a triple forward helix. When I called to ask if they even do this (you'd be surprised), the gentleman on the phone said, "We CAN but do NOT recommend it because it will not set right and can look crooked." Wow. I called a ton of places before and they just quoted me a price or didn't even know what it was. Honesty like that goes a long, long way with me. I called back, asked if I needed an appointment, then drove on over. It was a little tricky to navigate in the parking lot, but if you see the Baskin Robbins you're pretty much there. It is next to the Auto Zone. The inside is actually really cool! They've got a pool table, digital darts, couches, Ms. Pac Man, and a soda machine. One ENTIRE long wall is dedicated to tattoo designs, and they even have a little table halfway in that has pictures of real artwork. By far, this was one of the nicest set up tattoo & piercing places I'd been to. (For a point of reference, before last night I have 8 tattoos and 10 piercings.) Jeremy is the main tattoo & body piercing artist, and is a rad dude. He's great at what he does and marked everything before even clamping. He is very honest and very real, and told me that the triple forward helix picture everyone sees is actually a girl who glued on jewelry to her ear, which is why it looks so perfect. Everyone's ears are shaped differently, so if you get a triple helix it can actually point in different directions or not set right simply because of the ear's natural design. I had my fiance and two friends there and they asked if they could hang out and watch and Jeremy was totally chill about it. They all had conversations about piercing and whatnot while I clenched my fists and thought about puppies. Haha. We DID chat about the negative review listed about the laws - which was actually another reason I chose this place - and I felt the same exact way Jeremy did. He owns a business, he has children, and he wants to uphold the law. Last time I checked that seems legit. 3 piercings in one night is totally insane but I did it. And they have a kickass special of get 3 pay for 2! Helix was $45 with jewelry and nipple was $35 with jewelry - other one PLUS jewelry was free. IF YOU WANT A BODY PIERCING, GO HERE. It's a little off the beaten path but it's worth it. All 3 people that went with me said they'd come back to this shop before anywhere else. I don't think I'm getting any more piercings anytime soon, but they also have a Yelp check-in for tattoos. =)! read more

I am honestly not sure why I haven't done a review for this place yet! It is rude of me! I see Luke and he is nothing short of an incredible artist! He listens to what I want and is honest if things need to be a little different (like having a cartoon piece in the middle of all of my realistic pieces) he has done all of my tattoos (including a coverup that I desperately needed). I will continue to go to wherever he is! The shop is spotless, the vibe is great, the bathroom is super clean! I would 1000% recommend this shop (Luke specifically) to anyone and everyone! My mother and I wanted to get our noses pierced and looked everywhere trying to find a quality service without the prices of an arm and a leg. As soon as we entered the establishment, I wished I had gotten my tattoo there, as well. The staff was friendly and eased our nerves about the whole situation, joking the whole time and even telling us to "think of puppies" during the actual piercing. The piercing itself was swift and efficient and, as far as I can tell, is much better than the piercing my sister got at an establishment that shall remain nameless for their sake (they have enough poor reviews). Well, I waited a full month before posting anything. I have tattoos all over my body and have never had any of the issues I am having with the tattoo I got from freaks on my ankle. I have had to take two different anabiotic's I have had to take pain pills, and I have a very high tolerance to pain. And I still have a big hole in my leg where has not healed. Freaks says it is cellulitis. He did not even apologize for what I am going through and is refusing to give me back any of my money as he says he does not have it. An apology would have made a big difference instead of giving me all his sorrows as to why he can't give back any money. We all have sorrows. Freak says it is because it is my ankle. Left ankle is also tatted and never had one single issue. Of course all my other Tats are from a wonderful tattoo artist in California. Think twice before going here.
