My favorite place in Galveston, hands down. We got to try a few coffee shops but this one is my favorite one. Their matcha was delicious, not overly sweet (it had strawberry syrup). If you are ever in the area, visit them! Their staff was amazing and the place was filled with plants, loved everything about it!

Fire. Amazing. Fast. Friendly. Cute. But busy. I got the energy w lychee and a shot of matcha it's perfect we went back twice. Not too sweet and super caffeinated.

We actually stopped here on a whim, while looking at cruise ships because we are selling out in the morning and we were extremely happy. My mom actually marked this location for the next time we come to Galveston. The ladies at the counter were amazing and so nice. Everything was so inviting and welcoming. Tried the charcuterie board snack and it was super yummy. it was raining outside, but they're little cover outdoor area was dry so we decided to go out there and sit in the little igloo, and we actually even met a little cat and got to look at the chickens. Oh, and the tea and coffee was amazing

Super charming and beautiful location. Tons of space to hang out and enjoy the garden or whimsical interior. The lucky charms matcha and chocolate chip muffin were delicious. The cold brew is pretty bitter so just be ready if that's not your style.

The atmosphere is great and relaxing, plenty of space! The baristas are friendly, helpful and give awesome recommendations! The coffee tasted amazing and as described as the description!! I will definitely come again next time I take a day trip to Galveston.

I visited my friend in Galveston and we decided to get a drink here before studying at the nearby med school. They only have street parking available but it wasn't busy at all when we went. They have plenty of room inside as well as an outdoor seating area. I got one of their February socials, the Blushing grey. It includes cardamom and rose London fog. I actually really liked this drink. The earl grey is nice, could've been a little stronger tho. The rose is incorporated very subtly, but still at a good level. I'd come here again

The wait can get a little long especially on the weekends, but the drinks are yummy. I got the seasonal coconut pandan matcha and it had just the right amount of everything. I loved the toasted bits of coconut on top and the pandan flavor was not too overpowering. The matcha was rich and earthy. There's lots of seating and would be a nice place to come and study or chat with friends.

I adore this cute little tea shop! My go to drink is their milk tea made with coconut milk. It pairs well with the brown sugar boba. My daughter loves the strawberry matcha. And, if you're a coffee drinker there are so many different flavors to choose from. It's a cool place to hangout with friends or on a solo date. There are plenty of tables to sit at and get some work or reading done. I've also seen groups of people having meetings while lounging on the couch. The outdoor area has a few tables if you enjoy being outside. During the summer the heat can be unbearable but if you enjoy being outside their patio area is covered. The girls at the counter are always friendly and helpful. When there's so much to choose from, it's nice to know you aren't going to be rushed.

I recently visited Freckleberry Tea & Coffee in Galveston and absolutely loved the vibe! It's a super cute, cozy teahouse with plenty of seating both inside and out. Went in a Saturday and it was packed. We had a wait of about 10min however the employee let us know upfront that it would be a wait. I ordered their strawberry matcha with oat milk and it was worth the wait!

My go-to coffee shop when visiting Galveston. I ordered the Lucky Charms Matcha for the first time and it didn't disappoint! The matcha is decently strong and the lucky charm bits were so yummy. Great place & vibes to study with good wifi and lots of tables.

This is such a lovely Teahouse! I went to Galveston for the day for a change of scenery and stumble upon this place. I'm definitely more of a tea drinker compared to coffee so I was ecstatic to see all the options. The matcha choices look amazing but I decided to go with something light so chose a fruit tea. The strawberry tea was so refreshing with the perfect amount of sweetness. Fair price too around $5!

It is the coziest Boba shop I've ever been to many college students come to finish up essays and study for test, but I come for the delicious Boba. Not only do they have Boba but they also have milk tea, regular tea, coffee, slushes, and energy drinks all made in house. And many drink add-ons such as tapioca pearls, popping pearls, and jellies.

It felt kind of cluttered. I expect they must have a patio setup on nicer days, but on this day all that equipment was taking up all the space right inside the front entrance. I'm not much on sweets. I can be talked into an interesting cookie, but this was not the place I expected and I don't think they sold cookies or interesting milk flavors from what I could tell. They do sell sketchy looking hot dogs and pizza. I'm not sure who orders that. It seems like they specialize in ice cream. I tried one flavor and it was pretty sweet for me. I'm not much on sweets so that's not hard to do for me. I stood around letting my wife pick her flavor. I would have waited outside given how cramped the space felt, but it was pouring rain. My wife mentioned the place has artwork and stuff. I didn't see that and didn't know to expect it. I also heard there is a wine bar somewhere on the premise. I may have to come back and give that a try.

Not to worry, from the merch to the pastry case, to the products from local artisans, there's plenty to discover while you wait. I personally visited the morning of the 5th of July, after all of the fourth of July dwellers sobered up and stopped in for some caffeine to fuel the drive home. That being said, I waited quite a while to order, which gave me time to explore the menu...well kind of. Their menu lives on a wall and can be difficult to read from a distance. Additionally, their specials are handwritten at the til. While I'd love a digital copy of their menu for instances like these, I did just fine after exploring various Yelp menu photos. I ended up with a Sabrina on ice, avocado toast, fruity pebbles rice krispy and chocolate chunk cookie. Fair warning, everything in the pastry case looks fresh and homemade, so prepare to treat yourself. Shoutout for their emphasis on vegan and gluten-free offerings. Visually the avocado toast had me worried, but everything bagel seasoning has a way of curing all wrongs, if those "wrongs" in question are bland food. I found myself happily gobbling it down after a few initially hesitant bites. The rice krispy was fine, and I'm looking forward to warming the cookie and reporting back. While I'll go for a more traditional coffee next time, I'll certainly be back. I'm hoping for a smile, greeting, or positive energy from the staff next go around. Fingers crossed.

This morning I had to get a taste of their coffee cake (because it's one of my favorites) to go alongside my caramel macchiato which I've come to love thanks to my husband. We also ordered two egg and cheese croissants. The egg is fried which I wasn't expecting but it actually tasted pretty good with the melted cheese. If you're looking for a coffee shop that offers a full menu of food such as burrito's, sandwiches, empanadas, and pancakes, you'll enjoy it here. There's plenty of seating to bring your laptop and get some work done. It's a popular spot so keep that in mind as the tables may all be taken.

So when my wife suggested we make this our final stop before leaving town, I was just kind of along for the ride. It turns out, the ride was amazing. I was visiting NYC a few months earlier and went to a place that was wildly considered to have the best bagels in the city. They were perfectly fine but not really remarkable. But GBC served the kind of bagels we were still thinking about the next day. I think it was the softness that really separated them. Said softness was easier to detect from the snickerdoodle bagels we ordered with strawberry and honey butter cream cheese. Both were no doubt 5-stars. But for my "main course" was the Pelican Island, which was a hodgepodge of deliciousness all crammed betwixt two blueberry bagels. I really enjoyed it, but if I returned for a second visit, I would order something else only because there were like ten other things I wanted to try. By the way, I also enjoyed stealing a few bites of my wife's ham, egg and cheese bagel. Earlier I said "if I returned for a second visit", and I'd like to correct the record. We will 100% be returning for a second visit. We might even go as far as a visit here being an excuse for why we need to come back to Galveston a few months from now.

Galveston Bagel Company has a huge assortment of fresh bagels if you can think of it, they probably have it. We visited on a Monday morning and even though the line was long it moved quickly. The aroma of freshly baked bagels meet you as soon as you walk through the door and is so inviting. We ordered the Pesto in Paradise (one of their summer specialty bagels), the Chopped Brisket Panini, and a Blueberry Bagel with Cream Cheese. Every single item was amazing! They were filled with meat, eggs, fresh vegetables, and flavorful condiments. The bagels were hot, soft, and incredibly fresh, with every bite tasting better than the last. My only regret is not ordering another breakfast bagel to take on the road. The shop offers a few indoor seats along with outdoor seating, which is a nice option if the weather is good. On the day we visited it was raining and gloomy and the patio was still full. The only downside to our visit was the rude male employee at the front counter. Thankfully, the female cashier who helped us was sweet, welcoming, and friendly, which helped make the overall experience a great one. I would absolutely recommend Galveston Bagel Company again and again. It's definitely worth the stop if you're in Galveston! ---- They also have a coffee shop in the inside of the bagel shop you should give a try I give them five stars across the board. The coffee there is tasty, affordable with great customer service.
