From the moment you walk in the door you are met with Irish-American hospitality. We dropped by on our way to Bean Beach and saw the orange and white Freckled Fin sign and were drawn by the possibility of Kilkenny (my favorite beer - if you don't know) and were met with high vaulted ceilings and an amazing cross- ventilation breeze and Chris the most charismatic bartender, I have ever meet. He loves music, especially hard rock, just ask him about it. The food menu looks amazing including poutine (if you don't know, ask somebody, I can't teach you everything on this review). We ordered the Irish Dip, just like you think, house-made corned beef topped with Swiss, grilled onions and red ale au jus dipping sauce. Absolutely delicious, the bread was fresh the sandwich was enough of everything and the au jus was le creme on the top. If you feel like chicken try their house make potato chips encrusted chicken tenders with omg good tater tots. All the food looks amazing. Our party of 5 sat in our booth for 20 minutes before anyone attended to us. We all just ordered drinks and handed our waitress/bartender our ID's. It took 15 minutes to get 4 beers and a martini. The waitress greeted us with an attitude and then proceeded to question and not serve our friend who is of legal age. After we told her it was real she still was adamant that her id was fake and wasn't giving her the drink until she answered her questions. She then ignored and did not give us any attention for the rest of the night. You will not get served unless you are a regular and sit at the bar. You will not be appreciated if you are young and trying to have fun, only if you are old and have money. read more

During our recent visit, we found that Samantha, our bartender, could have been more attentive, friendly, and outgoing. ;( When we first sat down, we needed a moment to settle in and look over the menu, so we only ordered water initially. However, Samantha seemed upset by this and walked away to the opposite end to talk to other colleagues including Greg. Every time we tried to flag her down, she ignored us... finally after getting her attention to order, she claimed there was no draft beers (but other patrons had draft beers served) and the drinks we ordered with club soda were 'flat' in which she claimed was fine but there were no bubbles at all in two of the drinks and tasted like water. Throughout our stay, it was very hard to get her attention for other rounds of drinks; seems she was ignoring us intentionally. Food overall was bland, but we understand this is a pub and bar food is what we were going to get. Overall, if the team was a bit more welcoming and attentive, it would have gone a long way toward making our experience more enjoyable. Such a fun place. Great atmosphere and fantastic food! The Yellowtail was the best I've had in a long while. You are in for a crunchy surprise with the chicken tenders. Hubby and I stopped by Freckled Fin Irish Pub twice during our recent trip to AMI. The first time was for lunch. I had the nachos with homemade potato chips and added chicken. They were good but a bit too salty IMO. However, their signature cocktails are good and strong. I had a drink that tasted like rum punch (can't remember the name). It was sooo good! The bartenders were all very attentive and friendly. We came back on Monday evening and Hubby did karaoke. It was a lot of fun! Know before you go - Arrive early for the karaoke night. My family and I had carryout while on a recent faction to AMI. We placed our order online and received confirmation, but upon arrival at the scheduled time, they had no record of the order! They did quickly prepare our order while I waited and eventually were able to track the ticket down. They threw in a piece of pie for the error. Overall the food was pretty good. I actually really enjoyed the poor man's tenders, which are coasted with house made potato chips before being deep fried. This place is more of an experience than anything else. It was absolutely rocking on a Wednesday at 5pm so I can only imagine what it's like during normal bar hours. People watching at its finest. I went here for lunch with two friends. I had the Blackened Mahi sandwich, my friends had the Boom Boom shrimp and the tuna Sashimi. It was all very good. Walked in on a Wednesday night around 7 pm and could grab a seat at the bar immediately. The bartender was very nice and prompt taking our drink order, looked over food menu, and ordered that too pretty quick. Lots of tv's around the bar with sports on and our timing was we arrived just as live music started with rock n roll trivia game mixed in with music. Lots of fun! Food was out fast: ordered the cheesesteak (for my husband) the irish dip sandwich for myself (both came with fries) and we had 10 dry rub wings which were very good. The food was a bit oversalted for my taste but my husband loved it. We wanted to buy some souvenirs but not much other than tee shirts so in the end we didn't buy anything.
