I was thinking we'll use the Groupon and then never come back. Imagine How surprised I was when I found the classes to be amazingly fun! David, our Instructor, is Hilarious and a great teacher. We have signed up for the follow on curriculum and I'm happy to say that I think I can now consider myself an intermediate dancer. The other regular instructors, Sandy and Kevin, are likewise amazing and very knowledgeable. They, along with David, Have formed a close knit group of people into a very tight community that make coming to dance class fun! An example of how great this is is group class. Now many people, and i was among them, think group classes are awkward and weird: You go to dance with your partner, not with other people! but with this group it's not weird at all and very helpful! We knew we wanted to have a first dance at our July 16, 2016 wedding, but neither of us are comfortable dancing or even LIKE to dance. So, we decided to take dance lessons at Dance in Rhythm. We signed up for 5 classes about 1 month before our wedding. We told Karen (our instructor) what our song was (Take My Breath Away by Berlin from Top Gun) and she choreographed and taught us how to do an amazing dance! She was so positive and was able to us to create a dance we were comfortable with and that looked great in such a short amount of time. Karen is very knowledgable and professional. She knows how to teach the same concept different ways to ensure learning and retention. When she gives feedback, she's sincere and is always positive. Karen really worked with our schedule to meet our needs! My husband and I had such a FUN time learning and working with Karen. Our wedding guests are still talking about how great we looked during our first dance! GOTO PLANET FITNESS. I joined this gym intending to work with a personal trainer. I meet with…read moreLouis Rodriguez, the person in charge of the personal training department, and signed up. I had told him I wouldn't be able to start for another 6 weeks so we scheduled my first 2 appointments and decided we would do the rest when we got closer to that actual beginning of the personal training. Unfortunately, when I got home, I read further through the contact and realized there were things in it that Louis never disclosed to me. There was a fee of $50/month he never mentioned and with the way he set it up I would have paid $320 before I even had my first personal training appointment, Furthermore, when giving me a tour I asked him if the gym has a NuStep machine. He said yes and motioned to the area behind us in the back. Unfortunately, no such machine existed there. The contract stated that I could cancel within the first 2 days if I sent an email to a certain address. So, I sent an email to said address, showed it to Louis and he said I would get a check in the mail for my refund. Of course, said check never arrived. I stopped by the gym multiple times and either he wasn't their or was busy. I had to call multiple times because he was never available and apparently has no email address or voicemail. If sending an email to the gyms main email address on their site was no help. In the end I would avoid this gym or at least their personal training department. Lous Rodriguez will knowingly lie right to your face and will make it difficult to get in contact with him. Of course, if you're signing up & giving them money for a service it will be completely the opposite. I was signed up for training sessions among other things that I never signed up for myself. I also received multiple spam emails and calls from them. Just go to Planet Fitness. Everything there is much more straight forward and honest when it comes to signing any contract.
