Ribs, Fried Chicken, Corn, Mash Potatoes. Good Simple Food.
Alex L.

A simple, nothing fancy buffet of Mac N Cheese, Fried Chicken, and Fried Fish. A decent selection considering it was under $14 per person. My favs were Fried Chicken, Mash Potatoes, and the Fried Fish. The fried chicken & fish were crunchy and tasted very good. Now the food is not heavily seasoned and might come across as bland but that is how home cooking is. Served right out of the fryer, you can season it to your taste at the table. Anyway, for dessert I had Blue Bell ice cream sandwiches and the old school ice cream cups. Brings back memories of my childhood eating these ice cream cups. They also had cakes and other ice cream as well but I was too full by this point. We came here early but this place started filling up when prime dinner hours started rolling around. A good place to stop by for dinner especially if you are on a road trip as this place is only a few turns away from I-95.

This place never fails! On our way to Myrtle Beach and our must stop is Grandsons. All great food, wonderful service and super location...right off 95 & 301.

Great stop for some southern home cooking off of 95. Great food and friendly service. Not many buffets still open so glad this one is!

When I was a kid we went to a placed called Chasons in NC....This was back in the 80s. Could this be the same place? They had some good bbq

The place you're talking about burned down several years ago. The the that's open now is run by his grandsons. Good food but now like the old place.

What an awesome place to visit, large parking and huge dining area. Service was quick and constant,…read morehushpuppies and drinks from the start. Very large menu but we couldn't resist the seafood! Shrimp was perfect calabash style, oysters and fish cooked just right. Servings were very big and the prices were very fair! Had much more to list but the truth is it was all 5 star comments from everyone. Our server was incredible, always pleasant and kept our glasses full. Saturday afternoon, busy but not too bad. Visit Pier 41 with confidence, it doesn't disappoint!

They have a large parking lot with numbered spots, so you don't forget where you parked. The decor is casual and unassuming. It is a large place, though. It can seat 220 guests and has both booths and tables. I dined here for brunch, but you order from the all-day menu. I read to go early to avoid a wait. Service was friendly, but the goal seemed to be to turn the tables quickly, so many customers left with to-go boxes. Well, I was on the road, so I couldn't go, so they had to wait for me to finish. I ordered the flounder with a baked potato, and it came with hush puppies. The food was really good, and I would have ordered dessert too, but I wasn't asked or even finished with my meal when the bill was dropped off. I liked my food, and the prices were reasonable. I don't like feeling rushed, though and like to enjoy my meal. Payment is taken at the front register. I paid cash because I wasn't sure whether they took credit cards, since that register was closed. By the time I got through the line and got change for the tip, people were already seated at my table. So I had to find my waitress to leave my tip. I might return again when it is less busy.

Babyyyy, if you're looking for a hidden gem, THIS IS IT! This was my first time in the area, and I…read moreonly came to try this place out. When I say I have no regrets, I mean just that! Well I must admit there is one regret...the regret that I didn't try them sooner! I've legit been missing out on bites of happiness! You walk in to a gorgeous sparking restaurant. It seems one side focuses on to go orders then there's a large sitting area for dine in. The restaurant is spotless, and so are the bathrooms! The older gentlemen that assisted our table was a complete seeetheart! Extremely personable and present...we definitely got the southern hospitality. The food! The food is spectacular! I didn't have to add anything additional to my food, which is surprising. The food is seasoned and cooked to perfection. We tried a little of everything. The hushpuppies were the best hushpuppies of my life! They're crispy on the outside yet melt in your mouth... it's not your typical cornbread hushpuppies; this stuff has FLAVOR! The fried shrimp was spectacular...I even ate the tail. The roasted sweet potatoes made me close my eyes and just hum. The jerk snapper- never had anything like it in my life, but I know I want some more! Also tried the fried snapper, oysters and and whiting- they didn't disappoint! You're not in the south if you don't have fried green tomatoes, right? We received complimentary fried green tomatoes...best I've ever had! They had sort of sauce on them that just took it to the next level. I also had to try the cake after I heard the owner's mom makes them personally. If you had the food, you understand why I had to try the dessert. I mean the chef had to get his skills from somewhere, right? Honeyyyyyy just like everything else, the taste of the cake corresponded with the rest of my experience! 10/10! Did I mention, the bathroom was also CLEAN! If you're in the area, try this place.
