Been going here for over 7 years. Up until about a year ago they would have got 5 stars. Started noticing the produce is subpar. Rotting and certainly not very fresh. Don't know if they switched to a cheaper supplier but it's getting bad. Also they won't grind meat at the meat counter. I have to go to Safeway to do it, and they don't even have a counter. I notice myself going to other stores more often for produce and meat. Eventually if things don't change I won't need to stop here at all. read more

ALWAYS OUT of ad items. Spoke with one of the managers and he was more worried about some frozen sausage than the meat bunker that was out. By 1 get 1 free on the meat and it's more important for frozen sausage? Tired of half my list always out of stock. read more

Discount other reviews that are older than 6 months. I have shopped here since store construction and opening. Since the closing of the Francis Ave Fred Meyer, this store has trended down in almost every area of Customer Satisfaction, ESPECIALLY CLEANLINESS. To put it bluntly, this store is FILTHY. The floors underwent a coating and rehabilitation a year or so ago. But, today they look dirt covered and dull. Doesn't appear that anyone is cleaning or buffing the floor. I guess they don't care. The Deli and produce cases look like they haven't been deep cleaned in months. Flakes and detritus from food, packaging, and undermatting is evident in every nook and cranny. It's disgusting. Around first of JUNE 2014, I was in the produce area I smelled a foul odor wafting over the entire produce area. I traced it to the tomatoes. Grey, fuzzy mold was evident on the surfaces of may of them and a putrid slime oozed from fractures in their surfaces. It wasn't superficial . . . it was wide-spread foulness that covered every tomato in the basket display. HELLO FM .... is anyone awake there? Now, up until 6 months ago . . . I enjoyed shopping at Fred Meyer. But, now our family is considering moving to Rosauers up the street. It is much cleaner at every level. If FM Management reads this and wakes up, turns store hygiene and cleanliness around, then we might become enthusiastic supporters again. read more

I've been going to this fred Meyers for quite some time. I've been using the pick up service for about 1 1/2 years. The 1st 6 months it was amazing. No issues. Big orders or small orders. Perfect every time. Then...I don't know. Maybe management changed and it all went to hell. Every order had issues. 1st I had a couple items missing. When I called the guy that answered the phone said he personally put my order together and nothing was missing. After some push back I went back for my missing items. Same guy brought my items out and he looked through my car. Without asking 1st. He didn't find anything. I only allowed him to look where I put groceries. I didn't appreciate the implication that I was lying and his attempt at bullying me. Then there's just a long line of wrong products (not substitutions) rotten produce, next day expiration on milk, meat and cheeses. The straw that broke the camels back. I placed an order to be picked up Monday after work. It was very busy when I got there. But, I found a spot and called. They said there were a few cars ahead of me. Fine. I could see that. All the cars ahead of me got their orders then left. New cars came and went. I called after 20 minutes. "Yeah, weird, We'll be right out" another 10 minutes and new cars. I went inside to get my grocers and they acted like I was lying. I can show my freaking call log. 4:31 was my 1st call. 4:53 was my 2nd. I went into the store at 5:02. I stopped allowing substitutions awhile ago because they'd just give the most random times. So, my order was missing 10ish items. Didn't bother discussing anything with me. When I went in the customer service person rolled his eyes and called the same number I did, "she's been...waiting. Apparently". I won't even shop in store here ever again. I work in customer service. If one of my employees acted like one of the several I've encountered they wouldn't have a freaking job. read more

I live near this store and avoid it like the plague. Constantly changing food location (every few years), signage is poor. Worst of all, staff does't know where anything is. EG - Tonight I asked twice on two different rows, two different staff members where an item was - answers were "not here" or "we don't have it". Wrong! Found both items no farther than 20 feet from each staff member. Please get it right Freddie's! Stop changing up stores and Train, Train, Train your staff. read more

Huge selection, clean, great fresh veggies, well stocked, courteous employees, plenty of parking, good deli, nice sales, light and bright... just a few of the reasons this is practically the only place I shop. read more

After spending a grueling two hours xmas shopping for my wife in the women's department, the gnome at the register said I did't qualify for a single discount or sale price because I had no "myfreddy rewards card". They're probably still putting away the cart of goods I walked away from. So much for their billion dallar ad campaign and remodel. read more

I absolutely love Fred Meyer and have been shopping there for over 20 yrs. This review is not for the overall experience or value of shopping for groceries or home/garden stuff at Fred's, which I would give 4 1/2 stars. The one star is for the quality/value of their clothing. I worked at Fred Meyer in Beaverton, OR in the mid 90s, and I learned then never to buy shoes or apparel at Fred Meyer unless it's a name brand, like Nike. I had an employee discount so being a poor 22 yr old, I wanted to take advantage of that. Well, it didn't matter what I bought, after one or two wears, and one or two washes, the shirts/blouses would fall apart, or the fabric would ball up and look immediately old, or buttons would fall off...it was always something. The soles of the shoes would ALWAYS detach almost immediately...maybe after a week or two of regular wear. I swore then that I'd never buy clothing there again. Well, fast forward from 1996 to 2012. I lived in Seattle and needed some boots. I decided to give their shoes another try. Within two weeks, the soles were detaching. I took them back and got another pair. Within two weeks, the soles were detaching on those, too. WTF? SO IRRITATING FRED. Get it together, Man! Now, here we are in 2016, and apparently I hadn't learned my lesson, because two weeks ago, I bought a pair of flats there because they were super cute and on sale. They were still over $30 and I just had a feeling I was going to regret the purchase, but I went for it anyway. I have worn these flats now about eight times in the last two weeks, and I'll give you one guess what's going on with these shoes. OK, I'll just tell you. The effing soles are detaching from BOTH shoes. For $30+, you'd expect them to hang on a little longer. It is their house apparel brand, Great Northwest Clothing Company. Their product is crap. Just absolute crap, and not necessarily cheap crap, either. Save yourself the hassle and aggravation and don't buy anything in their apparel/shoe department unless it's name brand. Shame on you, Fred. Seriously. You're bilking your loyal customers out of money with poor quality CRAP. Booooo. read more

Before the remodel I would have given this store 5 stars but I have never seen an "upgrade" be such a downgrade in any store ever! This used to be my favorite store for groceries, home stuff, even clothes and purses. While the clothing section didn't change much the grocery and home sections definitely did and NOT for the better. Home stuff has a fraction of what it used to. And the groceries Are now so unorganized you can't find anything unless you go up and down each and every aisle. Rice is in three locations now so unless you know if your kind of rice is in the Asian foods, Latin foods, or dry foods, you find yourself going around in circles to find the one you're looking for. Also they keep "discontinuing" main items. Like Greek yogurt with granola and others. And the way it is set up is a hot mess! Baby furniture is right in front of self checkout instead of back with the baby clothes, wasting that prime real estate. Electronics is basically gone, I can't even find a flash drive there anymore. So much for one stop shopping. I don't feel that really applies to them now. read more

I do love shopping here especially with my three kids, it makes it easier to get it all done at one store instead of dragging them all over town trying to get stuff done. My only complaint is there is one particular employee at the play area where the kids can play while I shop who has been very rude to me and barely gives me 15 minutes to do my shopping before she calls me over the intercom to come get my kids. Her excuses have been that they have told her they are bored, or one of the friends they just met had to leave and they were sad, etc. Strange that my children are puzzled as to why they have to leave. I have seen her do this to other customers as well. Now we scope out who is in charge of the play area and if it's her I apologize to my children but it's not worth putting them in the play area when I will be called in a few minutes to get them back out. The other ladies are great and we have NEVER had any issues. read more
