Poor selection for male shoppers, particularly. Stores are poorly staffed, checking out is a nightmare, and customer service is nonexistent. The last time we were in was on a Saturday around 11 am. I love that I can change my order multiple times up until a few hours before my grocery pick-up time window. I can also create and set up my order a week in advance. You can set up specific substitutions when creating your grocery order. They also notify you of any substitutions prior to your pick-up time so you can approve or reject them prior to pick-up. On occasion I do have some issues with produce items...brown lettuce, gouged fruit or moldy strawberries. When this happens I immediately go to the app and request a refund. It's a quick and painless process and they'll refund you immediately without having to bring the item back to the store. The employees are mostly friendly and helpful. Most load groceries with care. I have had a smashed bread loaf here and there, but mostly no grocery loading issues. They have moved the grocery pick-up area to the opposite side of the store since my last review. It's a much bigger area and has about twice the spots as the other side did. There are plenty of signs at both entrances to help navigate the newer location. I absolutely love using the grocery pick-up option. It has been a welcoming stress-free option for me and my household. I would highly recommend!

However, I stopped coming here recently because employees felt the need to school, scold, and complain at their customers. They just did not seem happy to be working at Winco. After a 6 months hiatus, I returned and noticed that they have almost all new checkers. I had the pleasure of meeting Cody, who was courteous and friendly. A customer ahead of me had an issue with the debit card machine. Cody was very patient and worked with the customer to resolve the issue. That would not have happened without eyerolls a few months ago. Met Zac recently who was just as professional, pleasant, and efficient. In our currently grim and customer-hostile world, it is nice to see that Winco is preserving the pleasant and humane shopping experience.
