Bummed to know I am writing this review so near to the end of their tenure as they are closing at the end of the season. If I were closer, I could see myself going to Freddy Hill on the regular, instead I only really made it out once every other month for their amazing ice cream. I have been to their mini-golf once or twice. It is certainly a good date spot for young and old. I appreciate how they have covered and uncovered driving ranges with cheap buckets-o-balls. I cannot comment on their batting cages other than to say they have them. So seriously, back to the ice cream. You can get what you like in cup or cone. Or, hear me out, you go to the shop (attached to the ice cream joint) and get a bucket (err gallon) and bring it home to enjoy for slightly longer. They have standard and more unique options. My go to is Peanut Butter. Freddy Hill, you will be missed. I hope I get out there at least once more before it is time... read more

I have been going to FHF since I was a teenager. Coming back as an adult is still just as good as when I was a teenager if not better. It honestly is a beautiful property. I've experienced many beautiful sunsets while at a round of mini golf. It's definitely something nice to do after you've had dinner at home or just wanna get out for the evening. Mini golf is awesome and hitting some balls at the range is always a crowd pleaser there is batting cages as well. Pricing is perfect! They offer a military discount as well, which is nice. I'm not sure about any other discounts every time we go. We have a fantastic time. Staff is very helpful. They are always working and cleaning up areas. After a round of mini golf or hitting some balls at the driving range, I always and my visit with vanilla peanut butter ice cream in a pretzel cone. That is the only way to end a day at Freddie Hill Farm. NOTE: Freddy Hill Farm will be closing at the end of the summer at some point I happen to see a news article go out from a local paper and also on social media. So if you've been thinking of going or you need to get your fixed before they close or go under new membership, I would go this summer and or now. read more

We were visiting Philadelphia for the weekend and stopped here because of the Visit PA 2023 Scooped Ice Cream tour. Tons of parking. Line out the door. Faster service than Chick-fil-a drive thru. People sat indoors, outdoors, in their cars, and drove away eating ice cream. Families, couples, friends - it was a really nice environment to enjoy an ice cream cone. Tons of flavors. We didn't partake in putt putt ... but we planned to. If it wasn't 4+ hours from home, I could definitely see us being regulars. read more

Some of my favorite flavors are: butter brickle, candy cane and maple walnut. I've had almost all flavors and they're all good. I'm not much of an ice cream person, but I really enjoy Freddy Hill's ice cream! There are so many flavors to choose from. Today I tried the Lemon Cookie Crunch & it was perfect! The perfect lemon flavor - not too sweet or too tart - and had decent sized cookie pieces in it. The staff are friendly & patient even when there is a line. Inside seating has an old school feel. Located between Lansdale and the Northeast extension of the turnpike it's easy to find and easy to reach and there is a lot going on here. For special times like in the fall or holidays they do extra events but in general his is a great place to stop any time. A dairy farm turned family fun center there are two mini-golf courses, a regular golf driving range and baseball batting cages. There is also an ice cream parlor where you can buy not only snacks to have there but also dairy products such as milk and butter as well as ice cream to go. There is an area off to one side where they sell seasonal farm decorations like pumpkins and wreaths and to be honest, in the fall my drain pipes are all decorated with cornstalks bought here and driven home. The mini-golf courses do not have 'windmills' or clowns and such but are designed to look like natural terrain, with wide curves and large bumps. I will admit to occasionally having to race after a ball that bounces out of the line and heads for a water hazard but that's the only problem. This is a great place to bring kids or even grown friends for some fun before dinner or just a place to stop off if you realize 'oh hey, I'm short of milk.' I know this is coming off as 'oo-rah' but i honestly can't find a problem with the site. read more

Found Freddy Hill Farms after an internet search. The reviews were good, so we went to check it out. I had an absolute blast. There are two mini golf courses, Waterfront Adventure and Discover America. We did Discover America where the layout of each hole is inspired by national parks (not in a cheesy way). It was fantastic! There were several unusual features on the well maintained course. The landscaping was beautiful. The staff were friendly and helpful. They also have a driving range, batting cages and their own homemade ice cream. The ice cream uses real, natural ingredients, so my son was disappointed that the chocolate didn't taste the way he thought it would. Maybe ask for a taste before you order? There is plenty of parking and nice areas of shade for hot days. read more

A nice to place to hang out! 10 years ago, this was my baseball and mini golf hangout place but now I'm coming here to play golf. It's very nice that they have something for every age to enjoy. I went here on 5/4/2021 Tuesday. Even though it was a weekday, this place was crowded. I got ice cream before I went to practice some golf. They measure your icecream and it is not cheap.... I paid $5.61 for 2scoops of icecream. It was yummy so I can't complain too much. We walked to driving range and my icecream was melting so fast at 70 degree weather. Since they didn't offer me any napkin at the icecream place, I was so busy leaking my dripping icecream. One man at the golf area offered me paper towels. It was so nice of him. If you are reading this, I really appreciated your help!! They have many different sizes of basket. We paid $10 for a jumbo basket with about 80 golf balls. The area was clean and nice. Taking a star out for a bit overpriced icecream for the area. But still, I will def come back to practice golf more! read more

If you're looking for a 'hidden gem' this might be it. It's smaller than some nearby farms but it still has a lot of charm. I've never seen it get overly crowded here, and that's even during the autumn festivities. They have a wide variety of ice cream and treats available to purchase, and a small menagerie of farm animals who live on the premises. Their mini golf is affordable and fun, and once again, I've rarely seen it crowded. I'm glad that this cute little farm has managed to thrive in its location, and it's worth checking out. read more

Disclaimer: I've only been here for ice cream - so I won't be reviewing mini golf or anything else. Skip the strawberry or anything strawberry flavored and GET THE CHOCOLATE RAINFOREST. Strawberry cheesecake? Mediocre. Strawberry? You'll be disappointed. My boyfriend absolutely adores strawberry ice cream and he wasn't a fan. The one tub of strawberry we bought has been sitting in our fridge forever now, where as we've gone through - who knows how many - tubs of chocolate rainforest. Chocolate rainforest ice cream is to die for and I don't even usually like chocolate ice cream. It's fudge-y and caramel-y with brownie bits and chocolate goodness. My main problem with this place is that their ice cream can be a bit inconsistent. One of the pints of chocolate rainforest that we got was 80% caramel and not chocolatey enough. It was only once, so maybe it was just our luck. I'll still be coming back for another tub. read more

I do love this place. The mini golf is very nice and kept up well. I like the little store where the ice cream is. They have cute gifts, Amish baked goods and candy. My one gripe would be the prices. Got a waffle cone with two flavors and it was $8! You can get a half gallon in their store for $7! Also, my friend got a large blended ice cream and it was in a small sundae cup,not a drinking size cup. It was $6 & she said there were hardly any Oreos in it. Freddy Hill Farms is always a fun place to go! Despite being 24 years old I am a massive fan of mini golf and Freddy Hill has two different, fantastic mini golf courses to choose. I always end up playing both because theyre clearly well taken care of and are super fun. The additional batting cages and golf driving range are great as well. An icecream treat afterwards is an absolute must, it is the best ice cream you will find around, and soo much better than any name brand you would find in a grocery store. The shop attached is also very cute and has lots of options for gift giving! The staff are always kind and patient and I am always happy to support a small local business. Skip the large chain brands and support small business like Freddy Hill, you won't regret it! :) read more

Freddy Hill Farms Dairy has the MOST EXCELLENT ice cream, made from their farm's own milk and cream - do try their cookies and cream flavor, it's creamy, and not exorbitantly priced, so my friend says (she treated me). I'm not sure if Freddy Hill Farms distributes their ice cream products via supermarkets (local or otherwise), but they're worth a trip to check out. Absolutely love Freddy Hill Farms! Just moved less than a mile away and I can't stop going here. The ice cream, the mini golf, the driving range, it's all great. All of the golfing is pretty inexpensive and good quality. The driving range is pretty sizable. There are two mini golf courses and they're both nice. Two completely separate themes. My favorite part is obviously the ice cream though. It's all homemade and absolutely delicious. Some of my favorites are butter brickle, Cookie Monster, and the pecan praline that was a featured flavor a few months back. I will say the real deal to be had is the half gallon containers of a wide range of their famous flavors for only $5.75. Although it costs more than ice cream at the local supermarket, it's homemade and it's actually a full half gallon. Great deal. There's much more to this place than I can even touch on. Looking forward to seeing more of what Freddy Hill Farms has to offer in the months and years to come. read more

A very fun and entertaining Mini golf, driving range, small petting zoo, and ice cream place. First let me start off by saying the staff here is great. All of the people I interacted with were super friendly and outgoing. The driving range is nice. I am not the biggest fan of that but for the one bucket I do a year, it was more than I needed. The best part of this place is the mini golf. They have 2 courses, both 18 holes. Both are super fun with a lot of elevation changes, at the top you get a nice view of the surrounding area. Everything is in good repair. They also have a small farm animal area, it's nice but nothing special. It's nice add on to the place. They also have a very nice ice cream place. It is some of the best I have had in the area. There is also a small gift shop also which is ok. read more

The Fall Fest is fun enough for young children. All the activities are crammed into one area & it gets crowded with all the families with strollers. If your kids are older than 5 yrs, I'm not sure how impressed they will be with this place. But my kids are both under 4 years of age, so they really enjoyed themselves. Especially the display tractors that are on site for the kids to climb on and pretend drive. There are piglet races, a corn maze, the tractors, a pony ride, hay rides and a large slide. Plus hot dogs, funnel cakes and pumpkins for sale. Almost everything requires you buy tickets at the information stand. Also you need cash for this, so plan accordingly. The ice cream store, mini golf & pumpkin stand all take cards though. Speaking of mini golf, we really enjoyed it more than the "Fall Fest". I wasn't expecting it to be as nice as it was (based on other reviews), but we thought it was pretty enjoyable. And with a full 18 holes to play you really get your money's worth. The petting zoo area is depressing though. It looks like a jail with the concrete floors & chain link fences enclosing small pens. So all this averages out to a solid 3 stars in my book. You can bet it has the been the subject of so many Mini Golf/Ice Cream after traditions each summer. There is so much to do: 2 Mini Golf courses (Discover America and Waterfront Adventure), and while I prefer Discover America, they are both equally challenging and are worth checking out. If you are lucky and get a hole in one on hole 18, you get a free game! They also have batting cages, a driving range and a farm zoo! The Dairy store is worth checking out. They have plenty of ice cream flavors, cones, milkshakes and sundaes to choose from! There are many tables to eat at inside or benches outside if you prefer the nice weather. The other side is the Dairy section, where they have ice cream tubs to go, awesome milk and ice cream cakes too! It doesn't end there! They have special fall events, fair prices, discounts, birthday party specials... there really is something for everyone. It is located off Sumneytown Pike in Lansdale, and it right down the street from the turnpike too! Parking is decent, but it can get crowded on summer nights. All in all, I love coming to Freddy Hill. It has been a great staple of my summers growing up and it will continue to be a staple for many more summers to come. read more

Our young boys love coming here to eat ice cream while walking around to see the farm animals. I have to say that we really like the ice cream here and there are quite a few flavors to choose from. On our most recent visit, I went with the Maple Walnut ice cream and it was delicious! Ice cream is priced by weight and overall, is reasonable. Inside the ice cream store, you can also find different sweets, ice cream cakes, milk, bakery goods, inspirational books, and a few gift type items. There's a decent amount of seating inside, but there are also lots of picnic tables outside where you can sit and enjoy your ice cream while watching others play miniature golf. Freddy Hills has two miniature golf courses (Discover America and Waterfront Adventure), which are both fun to play. It is built on a hill, so some of the holes are multi-tiered, but you'll also find caves, mountain terrains, and plenty of water to test your golf skills. In addition to the miniature golf courses, there are batting cages, a driving range, and a golf pro shop. Being a farm, there are also a handful of animals, but this part is just OK. You will find a peacock, llama, goats, pigs, etc. It's not the best setup, but little ones will likely enjoy it regardless. There is a small hand-washing station outside. All in all, a fun place to go to with the kids or if you are simply in the mood for some delicious ice cream. There is ample parking and staff has always been friendly. read more

This is not the shore or NYC......but they charge like it is...........55 cents per ounce for the ice cream. My cup of 2 and a half scoops was close to $6.00. Although the ice cream is "made on premise", the flavor, rain forest, was weak in flavor. It is a shame since they control the ingredients and charge enough money that they could be better than Bassetts or even Ben and Jerry's, and don't even come close to any premium ice cream that I ever had. Still go and bring your own cones/cups/spoons and scooper and take out a real half gallon of one flavor, from their freezer for a under $7.00.
