Her approach was tenuous, but after the first bite she scarfed it down, exclaiming at the variety of tastes and the delicious sauce that held it all together. I chose the barbecue, a very full plate (recyclable carry-out, although we ate in) layered with brown rice, black beans, shredded beets, cabbage, carrots, and kale.
