They exceeded all of our expectations…read more We redid a few rooms of flooring (including one bathroom), changed out a lot of the trim, and upgraded the stairs from carpet to hardwood. Peter is probably one of the most professional contractors I've ever hired. He confirmed the start of the project the day before, showed up on time every day of our 3-4 day project, finished at a decent hour (so we could have our evenings to ourselves), and kept me informed about the progress of the project every step of the way. Everything was contracted and professionally handled in terms of invoicing. He made suggestions for how to improve the appearance of our home in certain places and gave us up-front pricing about every additional change we could add on if we wanted (we took all of his suggestions and so glad we did!). He paid such great attention to detail, fixing so many errors throughout the house that previously were there...things I didn't even know needed fixing! So many of our doors were not sealed correctly and the flooring was all a mess, they fixed it all for us. This was a big project for us - we saved for a whole year for this project - I am so happy we chose to work with IDC. Jim saw the flooring underneath had rotted due to over watering of the previous owners plants and fixed it all. He is meticulous. We bought close to 30 boxes and he inspected each board for defects. It turns out four boxes had defects. We were able to exchange them and finish the job. If you want perfection, call this guy. He was fastidious and his workmanship was impressive. He is so knowledgeable about flooring he PRECISELY matched the existing entrance way with the type of wood we needed. This guy knows floors! And the best thing was he was teaching his son the trade, so it's a family operation. I would have to say we would use him again in a heartbeat. Now my husband can say "I gotta a guy for that".

Unfortunately, our experience with Performers Flooring & Design Gallery has become extremely…read moredisappointing. We paid a $5,877.50 deposit for a flooring project that was later postponed while a separate legal matter involving our existing flooring was being resolved. When we eventually requested the return of our deposit, we made repeated attempts to obtain a response, including written requests in June, July, and August 2026. We were ultimately sent a check for only $1,142.50, with $4,735.00 deducted for alleged material purchases, annual replacement of finishes due to shelf life, and an $850 inspection charge. We dispute these deductions because, as of the date of this review, we have not been provided with signed contractual language authorizing them, written approvals showing that we agreed to these purchases or replacement charges, supplier invoices, receipts, proof of payment, or adequate documentation explaining what happened to the materials. We previously trusted this company, maintained a positive relationship with its owner, and referred multiple clients to them. The lack of communication and the manner in which this refund has been handled are unacceptable. The matter has now been referred to legal counsel. I will update this review if Performers provides the requested documentation and resolves the dispute fairly.

During the final walkthrough, the customer identified a few minor issues that both I and their project manager, Roland, agreed needed to be addressed. Roland advised that he would follow up directly with the customer to schedule the corrective work. Unfortunately, more than a month has passed, and the customer has not received a single call to schedule the repairs. In addition, I have repeatedly attempted to reach Roland by phone and text for updates, but my messages have gone unanswered. The quality of the flooring work was generally acceptable, but the complete lack of communication and follow-through after the project was completed has been extremely disappointing. Customer service does not end when the final invoice is issued, and this experience has made it difficult for me to recommend this company.
