June 28, 2022 I have been removing a 12 ft citrus tree from my front yard these past two weeks. The tree has 2-4 inch thorns and I am covered with red scabby cuts. This morning it came time to remove the tree's trunk. It didn't look too difficult. But it was. And it was hot. And it wasn't budging. I gave in at 11:45 am and called Freddy's. By 4 pm Samuel came over and with his professional ax/pick tool and his upper body strength, he knocked that tree trunk out of the ball park! Short version: First time we were getting the trees trimmed since we moved in to our home. We have about 15 trees and a few hedges along our walls. Hired these guys and could not be happier. Phenomenal job all around! Samuel and his team came on time, we walked the property, and I gave him a summary of what I wanted. A few hours later our yard looks amazing. The cleanup was very thorough too. These guys are the real deal with very affordable pricing. One of the best quotes we received. 10/10 recommend! Long version: Since this was our first time getting tree trimming services and I had no idea what to expect, I got quotes from a bunch of different companies. Half sent us a quote based on photos we provided, the other half sent a representative to our home to provide a quote. Freddy's sent a representative - Eduardo. They were actually our last quote and we were basically ready to go with another company by that time. But Eduardo showed up, answered all of my questions and provided suggestions on how each tree should be cut based on us wanting more sunlight into the house but still having the the leafiness on the trees. He showed me where the last trimmers had cut and explained what the trees would look like if they did it the same way this time (which we didn't want). Eduardo wasn't pushy about getting the job he just said to check out their work on their website and Yelp and compare to the other places I got quotes from. On top of everything else their quote was extremely competitive and all inclusive and firm. Eduardo specifically mentioned that his quote included the hedges along our walls and there were no additional costs. When I went back to ask some of the other quotes about their prices, there was a lot of uncertainty like ohh it could cost more depending on X, Y, and Z. We ended up choosing Freddy's and scheduled service for that same week. Samuel and his guys showed up on time and immediately got to work. Samuel had great communication throughout about making sure the trees were trimmed the way I wanted. The team worked like a well-oiled machine and everything was finished in 3 hours. I hired Freddy's Tree Service to remove approximately 10 larger trees from the root, trim large hedges and prune 3 other trees. Eduardo at Freddy's came out the same day I called, provided me with a competitive written bid. He was very professional and knowledgeable, answering all my questions. The day of the job, Eduardo came with a large crew of 5-6 people, stump grinder, 2 large wood chippers, and was able to finish the job in under 4 hours. I was extremely impressed to say the least. We needed to have 3 stumps removed in the back yard, one was very big and had root flare coming out around 4 foot+ around the main stump. I reached out via yelp and got 10 quotes from different vendors. Freddy's quote was one of the most competitive and I liked the quick responses. On the day of the removal the job was done quickly! Unfortunately one of our sprinkler lines was broken in the process since it was so close to the roots, but the team was honest and up front about it. They then offered to go to home Depot to buy a new PVC pipe and repair it for us, all free of charge. We appreciate the honesty and going above and beyond! Note: we actually had another quote from a company that said if sprinkler lines were broken they would not be responsible and we will have to get someone else to fix! This review is a few weeks overdue. I would give more than 5 stars if possible to Freddy's Tree Service. I had previously had some tree removal and trimming done on my property with another service. After working with Edward and the team at Freddy's, I will never go back. The prices were extremely fair, Edward was knowledgeable and the team was just great to work with - the nicest guys. They even tried to repair my fence for me - they're just good guys. The trimming and lacing work was beautifully done, and our avocado and citrus trees look pretty amazing right now. They also ground our stumps and left the place spotless! And, when our fence was damaged later because of the rains/wind, I called Edward who had Samuel call me and stop by. I met with 5 different 5 star rated tree trimming companies and even though some would have cost less than Freddy's Tree Service, we are very happy that we went with Freddy's. Eduardo was very patient, knowledgeable and great at communicating. (I am a person who likes to understand the process and whys of everything so I always have a lot of questions!). The trees are thinned out and not butchered like some of our neighbors. As this is a company of arborists, I know that they have a better understanding of what is best for the trees, how to keep them growing in a natural looking state, keep the height growth slow while trimming them so that they are safe with neighbors and during high winds. My wife and I bought this house just about 3 years ago & needed this pine tree in the front yard cut & as shown in the photos, it was getting really out of hand. We needed to have a bunch of trees and shrubs tamed in our back and front yard. We tried calling 5 different services for an estimate....Freddy's was the only one that called back. The estimator, Eduardo, called back within an hour of my calling the office for an estimate. He mentioned he could come out the next morning to give an estimate. The next day came and Eduardo was perfectly on time. He was extremely nice and very detailed in his estimate and wanted to make sure he knew what we wanted to get done so he could pass it on to the crew. After he left and gave me the estimate which was more than a fair estimate I called Eduardo back to set up the service call. He put us down for Saturday 9/4 at 12:30 pm for the crew to come out. On Friday, 9/3, I called Eduardo to just confirm that the crew was coming out and we were synched on the time. He assured me everything was all set. So on 9/4, Saturday, the crew showed up early by 2 hours!!!! Now that is premier service. It was a three-man crew that did all of the work. They were quick, courteous, and completed all of the work exactly as we asked them to. We did not have to have them fix or touch up anything. Freddy's Tree Service did a fantastic job. I have had my big tree trimmed many times over the years. I have used several different tree trimming services. This was the first time I've used Freddy's. Since I hadn't had the tree trimmed in a few years, (as you can see in the before picture), it was overdue to be trimmed. Eduardo came out to give me a quote and it was much more reasonable than 2 other quotes I also had. Seeing all of the positive reviews on Yelp, I decided to give them a try and I'm so glad I did. They had a crew of about 5 guys and they had my massive, overgrown tree trimmed in about 3 hours (see the after photo) Most companies would have spent most of the day trimming that beast. I had also requested that they bring plywood to cover my shed, and my neighbors pool equipment, which sit below the tree. They did cover everything with the plywood like I asked and it was well protected the entire time, which I really appreciated. I would definitely recommend Freddy's Tree Service to anyone.
