But they scoop glutenous ice cream then put it in the water.... and use that to scoop your gluten free ice cream. You can request a new scoop, but that doesn't really help all the times they already used a glutenous scoop in an ice cream thats gluten free. Easy fix would be to put all gf flavors together, and keep a scoop with them... but they haven't gotten there yet. Most places, you can request fresh scoops from new containers... but here, they want you to call ahead to do that..... and while that might work for most, we usually spur of the moment ice cream people. My family still goes here without me, but I no longer buy large containers to take home. I am not sensitive to cross contamination, but here, I have been getting sick consistently so I just stopped going.

I parked in front of the store and unloaded all 30 gallons into my small camping wagon. The storefront has large windows all around, so the staff could clearly see me unloading the entire order. Only after I had finished and was about to bring everything inside did an employee, a young blond man, come out and tell me they wanted the delivery brought to the back instead. A simple heads-up at the beginning would have saved a lot of unnecessary work. Instead, I had to haul the entire load around the building after already unloading it. To top it off, the tip was just $1. Delivery drivers work hard, often in extreme Arizona heat while handling heavy loads. A little communication and basic consideration go a long way. Based on this experience, I won't be accepting deliveries to this business again.

Beyond the regular cones and cups they also have some options such as the flight, nachos, and the banana split. They also specific which flavors have gluten. They used to advertise that their dairy came from grass-fed cows, but that stopped a few years ago so I'm guessing that is no longer the case. While that's what caught my attention and actually got me in the door, I've stayed a customer because they do mention that their dairy comes from cows that have not been given antibiotics or hormones. So for those who pay attention to such things, take note! This locations is pretty small but I do like that they have just a couple of outdoor tables with chairs so that I can sit outside when it's nice weather.

So... that was lovely. My sister also said that when she was in last night something seemed off, that it was messy, and she had concerns that employees may have even been on drugs. We had a Cod sandwich meal and one of their always excellent salads. Probably one of the best F/F restaurants to offer incredible salads! Unfortunately, there's some negatives here that must be addressed. I travel with a 100% disabled elderly father who works hard at trying to walk with a walker. By the drink/ice machine, especially on our two visits, there is always ice pooling and melting on the floor (in front of the drink dispenser) and is rarely addressed - if at all. We literally communicated to 'watch out' to other guests as a female worker passed us with a delivery of food, she clearly looked down, saw it, made no remarks to take attention to it, no communication to share it back to a counter co-worker, nothing... The Coke Zero dispenser has been leaking for months?? So you get your hands drenched trying to get a cup filled with surplus syrup. Thought this would've been a one off and fixed but it hasn't been. Lastly, the carpets. These are the absolutely dirtiest I have seen in a restaurant aside from Golden Corral's. As a small side note, haven't seen the T.V.s working either which isn't per se a big deal personally but if it's part of your decor, it should be working... Bottom line, the food is as you'd expect! The Management oversight however are simply NOT addressing the rest of the establishment and after our second visit, just isn't up to par and it truly surprises you. Hopefully these things get addressed and employees take responsibility for ice and water on the floor - of all things, for safety.
