We were regular customers every Saturday... An error was made on a pick-up order, so we called to complain. The "manager" immediately issued us a credit for the next time we came in to purchase an order (paid for extra turkey and added avocado which was NOT on the sandwich, but clearly on the invoice). The next Saturday my wife stop to pick up lunch after her class, and the guy at the counter could not find the credit in the computer.... eventually the manager located the small credit in a second computer, but the counter guy was rude, threatening, argumentative, and basically called my wife a liar because he claimed he put up our sandwiches the week before and stated he didn't make any mistakes. We complained to corporate who answered our complaint online and said the franchise owner would contact us within 48 hours. Never heard back from the owner or a manager. Mistakes happen, but you don't attack the customer and make a scene in the restaurant at lunch time over $5.00 in extras left off one sandwich. This place has lost our regular loyal business.... too many other sandwich shops in the area. read more

I'm very disappointed in the lack of communication and protocols in place. I understand that the store was closed due to a break-in and that you're waiting for an area manager to release operations--but there should be a better process for notifying customers. I drove over 45 minutes to pick up my order, only to find out that you weren't opening. You had two hours since you should have been opening to notify me. There was more than enough time to send a notification or update customers in advance. It's frustrating to make that kind of trip with no notice. I hope you'll consider improving your communication protocols for situations like this moving forward. read more

I don't understand why there are negative reviews at this location. I order delivery from them pretty frequently and have only once had an issue with my order. They forgot my chips so I called and let them know- the manager was who I spoke to and he let me know that I could go to the shop and get a free sandwich at any time for my trouble. I never followed through with that, however, I appreciated the gesture. He also sent someone *freaky fast* to deliver me my chips. We were so excited to finally eat at Jimmy John's. Yawn...nothing exceptional. The one redeeming thing about the sandwich? They use Best Foods mayo and you can taste the difference! The shop itself, very disappointing! 4 people working behind the counter and all the tables were empty. I came home one day to find a Jimmy John's door hanger with a FREE SANDWICH coupon attached. i studied the fine print, front and back and saw no restrictions on the sandwich. So one day after work I went to Jimmy John's near my house. I walked in around 7pm and there were 4-6 employees at the front of the kitchen/counter area. As I walked in, they all looked at me. A young guy greeted me and asked what I'd like. I told him I needed a second since i hadn't been there before. I decided on a turkey sub, no mayo. I asked if they had green bell peppers and they said no. Fine. I asked for extra turkey, which they obliged. When the guy rang me up, I told him I had a FREE SANDWICH coupon. He told me he would have to charge me for the extra turkey. I asked him why, because the coupon said FREE SANDWICH. I asked him where it said that. His only response was that he "had" to charge me like $2 or something like that. I paid him the two dollars in cash for the extra meat on my no-longer free sandwich. The cashier asked me where I got the coupon, so I told him on my front step. He told me, "That means we deliver to your house! You can get this sandwich delivered to you in the future!" Great. The sandwich itself was extremely, excruciatingly tasteless. It was like something out of a school cafeteria. I couldn't believe how bland everything was. Ungh. I wanted to update my complaints against Jimmy John's. When I send an e mail to a business I usually get some kind of response, even a stock reply. Nothing here. Apparently they don't care about customer feedback. Hell, even Taco Bell will respond to a complaint. From the great reviews on here, there was obviously something wrong with the store that day. They don't care to respond or address the problem. Fine by me. My family eats a lot of subs. One shop's loss is another's gain. First visit to Jimmy Johns...and last! We'd heard good things and being a chain, we expected the same. Upon arrival, the place was empty, which was a little suspect. Ordered our food and were a little surprised that there was no salt or pepper in the entire store; the workers made it seem strange that we would ask for such an odd condiment on sandwich. As we were eating, we had the pleasure of watching one of the workers carry a toilet brush out of the bathroom like a torch, dripping as he went down the main aisle, right by our table. It was as he proceeded right by the sandwich making station through the kitchen that we decided to pack up and leave. Guess this was why the place was empty! Ham was fine but what was with the cold barely cooked bacon??? I had to pull the sandwich apart tho figure out what the weird texture was I was trying to chew. Flavorless hard cold bacon. Ickk. Could the cheese have been sliced any thinner? you could have seen through it, and one lousy slice of it. Nothing special about the white bread, but it was fresh. The Jimmy chips are awful, why only offer kettle style? Kettle are too hard, stale without being stale. I really don't understand what the big deal with this place is. Walking distance to the Courtyard Marriott Motel, this Jimmy Johns is one of the highlights in this godforsaken corner of Tucson. They make the sandwiches quickly, and just the quality is same as any other Jimmy Johns. And the kids working the joint were more polite and efficient than at most other fast food places.
