But they have tons of ice cream flavors so there's someone for everyone. At the end by the register they have fudge and other chocolate treats as well. I got one scoop on a sugar cone (waffle cones were not available that day). One scoop ($3.49) is more like two scoops! The kid size ($2.99) is closer to one scoop. They had a variety of flavors to choose from - coffee, cappuccino chip, mint chocolate chip, moose tracks, peanut butter swirl, extreme chocolate, butter pecan, strawberry, etc. You can get sundaes with toppings, milkshakes, sno-cones, root beer floats, and soft serve. They even have frozen dog treats (though no pets are allowed inside). On a cold rainy day, we were able to enjoy our ice cream inside where they have three diner stools and a small counter. On a nice day, there's ample seating outdoors to enjoy the weather. They even have a pinball prize machine that gives out bouncy balls - and if you get a pool ball prize, you can win a free soft serve! Delicious ice cream! We stopped here after a walk around Carroll Creek park. The shop is only a couple block away. I had chocolate peanut butter which was amazing and full of huge chunks of peanut butter. My daughter also enjoyed her cookie dough chip ice cream cone. Hubby got a variety of fudge to take home. We love to stop in here. They have a variety of cones and ice cream flavors. In summer, the peach is excellent. The area inside where you order is a bit small so it can get crowded but it is worth the wait. Also, keep in mind sometimes there is only one employee, which can also slow things down a little. There is seating available outside and the coffee shop across the street is a sister store where you can use the restroom. Good bang for your buck. read more

Love love love this place. I'm biased, all I eat here is the strawberry and chocolate ice creams. YES- they will let you mix two flavors in one scoop - for anyone who loves ice cream that is a score! The strawberry ice cream has real strawberry chunks in it. All of the ice cream is thick and creamy. There is a small gravel parking lot out back which neighbors their cute outdoor patio. If the weather is bad out, there are a few seats inside (mostly the bench seating). Thank you Yelp, once again, for coming through! On our way back home, I made an executive decision for my son and I that we were going to get ice cream. Being unfamiliar with Frederick, I turned to Yelp and came across this place. There is free parking across the street. There might be next door too but there was a Farmer's Market operating in that lot on my visit. You will know when you arrived after seeing a bear outside (you'll get it if you go). Right now the policy is one party at a time and they have marked where to form a line outside. They also post the menu outside so it can be a quick in and out when it's your turn. We waited about 5 minutes for our turn. They have several vegan options that sounded delicious, but I decided to get a cup of cheesecake ice cream mixed with cookie dough, chocolate chips, and Oreos with caramel swirls to split with my son. Pricing was pretty cheap for the size of the scoop. They also (obviously) have fudge here. The outdoor seating area is expansive and we were out there with only two other people the whole time. If you're looking for ice cream in Frederick, I'd say this is your best bet! All the others are either chain or lacking unique flavor options. Frederick fudge and ice cream is very small inside, but does have good outdoor seating. You can park across the street in the lot by other businesses or along the street. I'd say the best part about this place is that they have many different flavor options, ones you can't find anywhere else in the area. They have all the different cones and some toppings. The waffle cone was crisp, but not TOO crisp like they can be sometimes. The ice cream itself is good, but I wouldn't say it's amazing enough to give a 5. I got the brownie batter and coconut almond chip and I'd get them both again. They also have black raspberry for any New Englanders like my family is! I work in the City and with the exception of Ritas for some items, this place if hands down the best ice cream joint in town. 4 of us with made to order treats came out with a total of $15 bill.
