Raspberry sorbet

Came here because of the heat wave and it's a location on Marylands Best Ice Cream Trail and all I can say is wow. This ice cream was sooo creamy and delicious (after I had my waffle cone inside, I went back through the drive thru to get a second ice cream for the ride home). The prices are reasonable and the workers are really nice and patient. There's some really great flavors to choose from. I ended up trying dreamsicle, cookie dough, butter pecan, and two different sorbets. One was grapefruit and one raspberry. Both were reallyyyy good. I'd definitely return here again!

Best ice cream in Frederick County! Ice cream mase withe fresh milk from the farm and always have a variety of flavors. They even have a drive thru window if you don't want to get out of the car. Definitely try the sweet cream ice cream.

Very friendly staff and wide variety of flavors. Today was the perfect day to enjoy the ice cream outside. I tired pistachio and strawberry cheese. Delicious! Also you can try up to two flavors. They also had a variety of sundaes that sounds delicious. I also really like the location as you can smell the cows nearby. They also have beef, milk, eggs, and ice cream pints to go.

Nice and creamy. The way homemade ice cream should be made and tastes. Theres always a line, even in Fall. However, they move you through fast. A good amount of seating (mainly outdoors).

Ice cream: got pints of cookies & cream and peanut butter ripple. Both were excellent. Very creamy. Clean with no chemicals. Strong flavors and sweet but not too sicky sweet. Nailed every aspect of the product. Bonus: they sell beef there too. I bought two NY strip steaks and they were perfect. Looking forward to trying their other beef products and also the cheese

For years I have passed and threatened to stop by Rocky Point Creamery and so far this year four times and counting! The ice cream and it does not matter what flavour - they are all amazingly creamy and yummy! The service is great and drive through is the way to go! All the kids running the scoop patrol are happy and likely full of ice cream! The place was hopping especially on National Ice Cream Day! It is always hopping and for good reason. If it is crowded inside use the drive through, but be careful driving with a huge cone!

After a long day of hiking, we ran into this spot. They have a drive through and can easily order meat or sweet treats. The coffee ice cream was perfect and exactly what I needed after a hot day outside.

The creamiest most delicious ice cream I have ever had. They milk their cows and make the ice cream there. The ice cream is rich and creamy, not too sweet, flavorful. It is worth the drive. There is no indoor sesting. Liniited seating in benches outside. Service is unspectacular. You go for the ice cream.

Whenever I come to Virginia, we always visit this ice cream place! I am not a fan of sweets, so I am picky about sweets, but the ice cream here is great! Ambiance: The interior and exterior is very cute. There is a large tractor outside that you can take pictures with, and there are picnic tables with a slide set for kids. It is so peaceful eating your ice cream outside on the picnic tables when the weather is good. Service: the employees are nice and they give you the ice cream quick (which is typical of every ice cream place LOL) Food: I have tried several of their ice cream flavors and they are all rich and creamy. This is what I love about their ice cream. It does not feel fake and it feels like they made it from love. I tried the coffee flavor, Oreo, mango, vanilla, and other similar flavors and I honestly could not pick a favorite! This is a cute place to eat dessert at after a meal with your friends or family!

Fresh ice cream after hiking at Sugarloaf?? I'm in. There's plenty of parking outside of Rocky Point Creamery, which looks like a barn and what you would think a local fresh creamery would look like. Lots of cows. Lots of fresh manure smells. They also sell steaks and a variety of dairy products here, too. ONE SCOOP - 4.50 When I go to ice cream shops, I like to try the flavors that are unique to the creamery. Most of the options here were pretty ordinary, like strawberry or cookies n' cream. But one flavor ended up catching my eye more than the others. Grape nuts. Grape nuts? Like... grape flavored ice cream (is that even a thing, it's not...) with nuts? Nope. Grape-Nuts is a type of cereal that's been around since late-1800s and I've never heard of it, lol. So imagine vanilla ice cream with granola like cereal. Very nutty, very interesting. The bits of cereal does get a bit stale in the end, but overall, pretty solid. I tried a bit of my friends' ice creams. I really enjoyed the strawberry and felt like it was a more prominent flavor that I don't normally see in other strawberry ice creams. There was a Java Nut flavor that was a hit or miss in our group. A couple people thought it tasted like herbal Chinese medicine. I personally thought the coffee flavor was fine, but didn't really like the nutty bits in them. Overall, glad we stopped by for ice cream after a morning hike!

Been a favorite of mine for years. The quality of the ice cream is incredible, as you can see the dairy farm behind the creamery from the parking lot. I always get the raspberry ice cream, but they always have a few sorbets in case you want a dairy free option that's still super creamy. Cute mom and pop shop. Can't wait for many more scoops this summer!

Always really great ice cream bursting with flavor. I wish they had more options of soft serve flavors though.

They had just opened at noon, so we were excited to be some of the first customers and check out the flavors of the day! The young lady working was super friendly, professional, and genuinely seemed happy to be there--which made our experience even better. She kindly offered us samples of several flavors, which helped us narrow down our choices. I ended up going with a scoop of Piña Colada and something new to me called Candy Dream--a purple gelato that surprisingly tasted like strawberries. Super refreshing and different in a good way! I got mine in a waffle cone, but was a little bummed to find out it was the last one already--only an hour after opening. My husband had to go with a sugar cone, which was still tasty, just not his first choice. We originally came in hoping for chocolate, peanut butter, or salted caramel, but learned they rotate flavors daily--so what's on the menu board isn't always available. Just something to know ahead of time if you're craving something specific. Overall, great little spot with delicious gelato and warm, welcoming service. We'll definitely be back to try more flavors (and hopefully snag a waffle cone next time)!

My husband got a pint of hazelnut and Creme Brûlée and the kids got a cup of Unicorn flavor since it's color blue. It was really good! Ambience was nice and service was good. I'd often be coming from my office at companies in Howard County or Halethorpe (Baltimore County), MD , so I almost took the less traffic northern route down I-70 to Frederick & down US 15 to avoid often times traffic somewhere on 495, avoiding toll on Dulles Toll Road & Green Way or slow of VA-7 all the way to Leesburg. The multiple times I was going down US 15, I was thinking it was a cute place, but left turn in and left turn out with sometimes a lot of traffic to make the left back onto US 15 wasn't worth it. And sometimes wouldn't be going back the same way as until 2017 lived in NoVA And even 2017-2020 Wheaton, MD, I'd still often tough it out take VA-7 to 495 and deal with nasty traffic to get back home. On Wednesday, April 4, 2018, I happened to have not eaten lunch, took US 15 back into MD, and decided to eat a late lunch here at Roots 657 on the southside of the small hamlet of Lucketts, VA. The outside of this place looks like a large barn. Inside the store, there's a gift shop like what you might see at Cracker Barrel, but less cramped and nicer. Ordering was at a counter with a chalk-written menu above. Staff was cordial. And the burger was big quite possibly the best burger I had in 2018 and a lot of fries too. Although work travel to Leesburg is highly unlikely these days, if I'm ever out there for work or other reason, I'd definitely want to revisit this gem.

The shop is ran by a student who at the time was doing school and running the shop at the same time. Very awesome person who was super friendly. I don't live near Frederick so unfortunately I've only been to this place one time. That being said, I still think about this place. The Ice cream is super creamy, you can tell the fat content in this ice cream is super high. It's super rich, super dense and creamy, and sweet but not too sweet. I had the caramel crunch (they didn't have the key lime pie ) and it was delicious. The caramel I thought goes really well with the rich ice cream; it makes for a very decadent treat. The crunchy pieces adds a nice contrast to the super creamy ice cream. Overall it was amazing; it's everything I like in ice cream; something super rice and creamy, and flavors which come from real ingredients instead of extracts or flavorings.

There was only one employee working when we visited, but he handled everything with a great attitude. He was friendly, polite, and never seemed flustered despite staying busy. The ice cream itself was delicious, and the portions were generous. I got the butter pecan, while my daughter enjoyed the chocolate love and mint chocolate chip. Both were flavorful and hit the spot on a warm day. My only disappointment was that they didn't have a traditional cookies and cream flavor. The only option was a coffee Oreo version, which wasn't for me. Other than that, they had a nice variety of classic flavors, several cone options, and basic toppings. Overall, a great little local ice cream shop with friendly service and generous scoops. We'd definitely stop by again.
