First time here. Flavors are on point. I had the cherry vanilla and it was so smooth. Lots of parking around the business. Plenty of seating inside but they do have outdoor picnic tables. They had a food truck there if you need to eat prior to dessert. read more

Ambiance: Beautiful location. Food: Great service, lovely people. It was my first time there. They helped me taste as many flavors as I asked until I found the one. Loved their strawberry Icecream, had a cup and got togo too! Highly recommend. We also had the caramel icecream pie Icecream, it was good as well. read more

What a beautiful scenic place to sit down on a beautiful day outdoors to enjoy delicious fresh ice cream. The parking lot is huge and wraps around the side of the large barn-like building. There is plenty of covered outdoor seating in the front and sides of the exterior. There is even a children play area connected to the parking lot on the side of the building with a playground. Inside was quite small compared to the outside, the line inside was moving pretty quickly. They offer a selection of shakes, cones, toppings, and even no sugar added flavors. I will definitely be back to try more flavors! read more

Pretty cool spot for ice cream / dessert in MD. Came here following hike at Sugarloaf Mt and then Big Belly which is a minute drive down the road, with fam and dog. I initially wanted to get a sundae, but I hesitated as we didn't do much in terms of hike. So not enough calories burned. Instead I gotta cup of double scoop, Bubble Gum + Mint Chocolate Chip. Others got Coffee ice cream in cup, then Coconut and Mango Sorbet in cone, and Pup Cup for our dog. Apparently Sorbet was too sweet and it's better in cup than cone. Don't shoot the messenger, goes without saying. Everything was good and I liked my BG and Mint CC flavors. Though it was a guilty pleasure but it is what it is. They do have generous benches outside for seating. Our dog enjoyed the pup cup also. All in all, we would rate this 4/5 for the ice cream. Enjoyed it, and hope to be back if we're in the area again. read more

After passing by this place for TEN YEARS on our way to/from wineries, I finally told my husband "pull over!" The customers and people working there were all SO friendly. The drive through definitely confused me walking in. Yes I'd had some wine (lol) but my husband had to tell me to get out of the drive through while walking from our parking spot to the entrance. There wasn't a crazy line despite lots of cars in the lot. I was able to try some samples and take my time deciding. I got 2 flavors in a cup. They were good but I couldn't finish them. None of the flavors were super decadent which was honestly a good thing but only one of the ones I saw looked like a standout. I'd stop by again for ice cream next time my stomach is up for it! read more

Always really great ice cream bursting with flavor. I wish they had more options of soft serve flavors though.

Although a bit of a drive from the DC beltway, this is an awesome ice cream spot to visit. It has a large amount of both indoor and outdoor seating. They have both soft and "hard" ice cream and several cone / cup options. They had about a dozen flavors to choose from. I had a double scoop of mocha and coffee oreo in a waffle cone. The ice cream is very creamy and not overly sweat. The coffee was not overwhelming but also not too hidden with just the right amount of oreo pieces. The mocha is a nice slightly chocolate flavor; a great combo of chocolate and coffee. The waffle cone is solid! It was not stale (a very important factor) and the very bottom tip wasn't open so no spillage thru the bottoms (also a very important factor). It had a nice overall flavor and made the whole thing great! Overall, I rank it very highly in the ice cream game and well worth the trip. read more

Came here because of the heat wave and it's a location on Marylands Best Ice Cream Trail and all I can say is wow. This ice cream was sooo creamy and delicious (after I had my waffle cone inside, I went back through the drive thru to get a second ice cream for the ride home). The prices are reasonable and the workers are really nice and patient. There's some really great flavors to choose from. I ended up trying dreamsicle, cookie dough, butter pecan, and two different sorbets. One was grapefruit and one raspberry. Both were reallyyyy good. I'd definitely return here again! read more

Ice cream: got pints of cookies & cream and peanut butter ripple. Both were excellent. Very creamy. Clean with no chemicals. Strong flavors and sweet but not too sicky sweet. Nailed every aspect of the product. Bonus: they sell beef there too. I bought two NY strip steaks and they were perfect. Looking forward to trying their other beef products and also the cheese read more

For years I have passed and threatened to stop by Rocky Point Creamery and so far this year four times and counting! The ice cream and it does not matter what flavour - they are all amazingly creamy and yummy! The service is great and drive through is the way to go! All the kids running the scoop patrol are happy and likely full of ice cream! The place was hopping especially on National Ice Cream Day! It is always hopping and for good reason. If it is crowded inside use the drive through, but be careful driving with a huge cone! read more

Real homemade ice cream at a reasonable price. Local sourced ingredients too. Not open on Mondays or Tuesdays.

The creamiest most delicious ice cream I have ever had. They milk their cows and make the ice cream there. The ice cream is rich and creamy, not too sweet, flavorful. It is worth the drive. There is no indoor sesting. Liniited seating in benches outside. Service is unspectacular. You go for the ice cream. read more

Whenever I come to Virginia, we always visit this ice cream place! I am not a fan of sweets, so I am picky about sweets, but the ice cream here is great! Ambiance: The interior and exterior is very cute. There is a large tractor outside that you can take pictures with, and there are picnic tables with a slide set for kids. It is so peaceful eating your ice cream outside on the picnic tables when the weather is good. Service: the employees are nice and they give you the ice cream quick (which is typical of every ice cream place LOL) Food: I have tried several of their ice cream flavors and they are all rich and creamy. This is what I love about their ice cream. It does not feel fake and it feels like they made it from love. I tried the coffee flavor, Oreo, mango, vanilla, and other similar flavors and I honestly could not pick a favorite! This is a cute place to eat dessert at after a meal with your friends or family! read more

Fresh ice cream after hiking at Sugarloaf?? I'm in. There's plenty of parking outside of Rocky Point Creamery, which looks like a barn and what you would think a local fresh creamery would look like. Lots of cows. Lots of fresh manure smells. They also sell steaks and a variety of dairy products here, too. ONE SCOOP - 4.50 When I go to ice cream shops, I like to try the flavors that are unique to the creamery. Most of the options here were pretty ordinary, like strawberry or cookies n' cream. But one flavor ended up catching my eye more than the others. Grape nuts. Grape nuts? Like... grape flavored ice cream (is that even a thing, it's not...) with nuts? Nope. Grape-Nuts is a type of cereal that's been around since late-1800s and I've never heard of it, lol. So imagine vanilla ice cream with granola like cereal. Very nutty, very interesting. The bits of cereal does get a bit stale in the end, but overall, pretty solid. I tried a bit of my friends' ice creams. I really enjoyed the strawberry and felt like it was a more prominent flavor that I don't normally see in other strawberry ice creams. There was a Java Nut flavor that was a hit or miss in our group. A couple people thought it tasted like herbal Chinese medicine. I personally thought the coffee flavor was fine, but didn't really like the nutty bits in them. Overall, glad we stopped by for ice cream after a morning hike! read more

The first time we came here was for the sunflower gardens. It's free to enter but you pay to pick anything. Lots of folks just come for a photo session and then hit up the creamery for delicious homemade ice cream. They've even added a drive thru since my last visit. Inside you'll find plenty of seating and a variety of flavors to pick from. The folks who run this place are super sweet and care about the experience you get. They'll call you "hun" and "darlin", so it's the legit southern hospitality feeling. The texture of the ice cream is THICK. You can tell they churn it onsite because it's not watery or fluffed with air. As a result, you get super filling ice cream that's not hard on the wallet. They have shakes here as well but I recommend you go on an empty stomach if you want to try those. The ambience here is perfect for a farm/ice cream day. There's even a tractor out front to pose with if you have little ones with you. Once you're done here make your way up the road for fresh corn sold on the side of the road. read more

Been a favorite of mine for years. The quality of the ice cream is incredible, as you can see the dairy farm behind the creamery from the parking lot. I always get the raspberry ice cream, but they always have a few sorbets in case you want a dairy free option that's still super creamy. Cute mom and pop shop. Can't wait for many more scoops this summer! read more

Live in the city and want a little country adventure? Then Rocky Point Creamery should be a destination you check out! Upon pulling up, you'll be greeted by seats shaped like cows. And the cow-decor doesn't stop there! Plenty of room to either eat inside or out, RPC is quite spacious! I tried a few different flavors and settled on the pineapple sorbet - SO GOOD! Loved that it had a balance of not too creamy and not too sugary! Very refreshing on a hot afternoon. They had so many people behind the counter, so service was fast - even as the line started to reach the door. We also bought some soft serve, pints to take home, hamburger meat, and cheese! read more

This is easily one of my all time favorite ice cream places. Its set up in a barn style building, with two cow benches out front that make for a great photo op. There is ample seating inside and out, and a party room off to the side. Outside also features a play area for the kids with a wood tractor and a combine slide. The ice cream is delicious. I've had so many different flavors and every single one is great. Service is always friendly and willing to give samples. Some of the coffee and butterfingers flavors are my personal faves. Its worth the trip every time. read more

My husband and I love stopping in here for ice cream on our travels to/from Virginia to Maryland. They offer seasonal ice cream flavors and will let you try samples, too. Their store also offers meat products and other dairy products as well. The staff are always friendly and the store is always clean. The ice cream here is a great quality and the large parking lot allows for large groups to stop in. Check out this creamery when you're in the area! read more

Imagine the ideal ice cream shop, nicely appointed and with friendly service. Now imagine it at the intersection of two country roads with nothing nearby but farms including the cows whose milk is used for the ice cream that comes in (I'd say) over a dozen flavors that are scooped into waffle or cake cones, cups, and even banana splits, although the shakes and malteds are only available in the usual vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry. Now imagine sitting outside (or inside) on a warm afternoon. We'll be back soon. read more

I have been driving around the area a bunch these months and I keep driving through these creamery type places and it keeps me interested. Well, I finally stopped at one to check it out and I really enjoy the freshness of the selections. This particular location is spacious and has some seating inside. They have a drive through too! They allow you to taste two flavors per person and I recommend it because some have unique flavors. They change it out every week, but I tasted an old bay flavored one.... Yea, didn't get that one but I got the peach and grapefruit flavors - refreshing. If you are in the area, which might be rare, you should stop by if you have a sweet tooth that needs to be catered to. read more

The place is nice and the ice cream is definitely creamy and good and flavorful! We love to support local!

Very fresh and creamy ice cream. So many flavors! I tried their new cold brew float and that was strong with lots of caffeine. We asked for one scoop for each of our kids and thought that was the small size but I guess that is the medium size. Our kids enjoyed the ice cream and the place has a cute playground in the backside along with a few picnic tables scattered through the area. Lots of parking and the line for the ice cream moves fast. This was our first time here and there was a BBQ food truck parked out front. Not sure if that truck is always there but the food smelled good. We had eaten lunch prior to coming or else we would have tried some of the bbq food. read more

I'm so sad I missed the sunflowers. Getting some gorgeous bright flowers and creamy ice cream sounds like the perfect day. That said, it was busy without being crowded on the day I went there, I got a pumpkin pie milkshake that I assume wasn't on the summer menu, AND there were still some sunflowers left, so late in the season might be the way to go. There's a drive through if you're in a hurry, but sitting on the patio tables or walking around the flowers with an ice cream in hand is amazing if you're not. There's even a little playground if you have little ones. The ice cream is RICH...like creamy and full of flavor, and every flavor my group tried was met with high acclaim. read more

A coworker of mine recommended Rocky Point Creamery to me after discussing places with exceptional ice cream since I'm super bouji about ice cream. What really makes Rocky point stand out is the superb quality. The ice cream is super rich, creamy, thick and well balanced in sweetness. They have flavors that are always available on their menu but also rotate seasonal flavors that are amazing. My favorites are caramoo, pistachio, and espresso. The ice cream comes directly from the cows that live on the property which the creamery resides on and that's not many can claim. I frequent their Facebook page to check on the flavors of the week and to see what's going on in the life of rocky point creamery. They close for a couple of months during winter and we needed to stock up on the much needed wintery ice cream fix. They offered quarts and pints for to go orders. I suggest you call ahead and place your ice cream order in advance as it may take a week or more to facilitate the flavors you want. They also sell beef and cheeses. read more
