I brought several hundred dollars worth of equipment in to trade in. The guy behind the counter basically said unless it was nearly new he couldn't take it. As for the pairs of nearly new Under Amour cleats I might have received $5. And that would have been store credit. This guy acted like a complete ass. I'm not sure if this is how used equipment is traded now days but I can see why sports participation is falling. I would rather just donate this stuff to the Purple Heart than make these guys a profit.

So.... what an adventure to drop in here way far away near the Walkersville area of Frederick. The rink itself looks like it could be from any era in the last 50 years, but really, what do you want from an ice skating rink? Parking is easy. Finding the location is easy. Going to the register and paying for your pass and rental (if you don't have your own skates) is easy. The cost is incredibly low - I feel like they were cheaper than when I was in high school back in the day in a land far far away from this place. Anyhow, getting your skates, also incredible easy. They have lockers for your stuff that cost you, wait for it, 2 quarters! So cute! They have a few vending machines, mostly ice cream, and a snack bar where you can get some cheap food and beverages. It is not expensive by any measure. They have teams and others who train and play here, but they have open skates. The open skates are usually on the weekends. And, again, wow, I could not believe how cheap. We had a great time skating, but since we're not 12 year old children, our bodies were a little less flexible and a lot more sensitive, so we didn't even last the whole 1.5 hour session. Ha ha! We still had a fabulous time, and will probably go back winter holidays 2024 for a new tradition. In other words - highly recommended for a cheap, short adventure!
