Love eating at Fred's! Such a cool place and atmosphere! Plenty of parking and everyone is always. Inside is always clean and so fun to just take it all in. So much fun stuff in the walls I have yet to try the pizza as I am usually passing through (65 miles from Columbus) and want a sandwich. My absolute favorite here is the Beef Steak hoagie w/lettuce, tomato, mayo, & onion ($6.70). The Stromboli, Italian Sub, and Philly Cheesesteak are other good choices. It's good food and will try their pizza, one day, but as of now my favorite Beef Steak Hoagie shop!

1/2 Pound Traditional Wings Didn't Look Appealing Or Tasted Good. Will Not Order The Wings Again.

The Pizza I'll Rate A 5. However, The Traditional Wings We're Over Cooked, To Hard, And Had No Meat On Them. The Monster Supreme Was Awesome.

This was my second visit to Fred's in Waverly. The food was good. Staff was very nice and the place is very nicely decorated. Restrooms are very clean! Prices are a bit high. When you arrive you have to go to the counter to order and pay for your meal. Just a side note - there is no real need for a tip. You as the consumer, do all the work. Short of bring the food to you, the staff has very limited involment in your experience. You find your own open seat and fill your drink at convently located soda dispensers. Couple of points / complaints / suggestions; 1. Pepsi Products - Pepsi is un-American - serve Coke 2. No Alchohol - Who has pizza with No Beer? Again un-American - Lost a star for that one. 3. Evaluate Prices - Food is good, but the lack of staff involvement should allow for cheaper prices. Overall my experience was a positive one. My food was good and when in the area I would have Fred's Again.

The Food is good. It is some of the best. The prices are way over inflated. You have to decide if it's worth it to you.

Family ordered a variety of meals. The Trio of Italy with fettuccini Alfredo, chicken parmesian, and lasagna. Ziti rosa, Ziti marinara and a big pepperoni pizza. The dipping bread came out with marinara. It was ok. The salads weren't that exciting either and the blue cheese dressing was truly not great. The potato soup was better but also not remarkable. The mains came quickly and followed suit. Most things weren't bad they just seemed like a knockoff Olive Garden - and that's not exactly great either. The exceptions were the lasagna and chicken parmesan. The lasagna just wasn't good at all and the chicken was overdone and dry. I found the pizza decent, but the rest of the family was less impressed. Our oldest said it reminded her of high school pizza and others reported it was bland. We didn't complain but someone was kind enough to provide a complimentary cheesecake with the sauces. One who sampled it didn't find it to be that wonderful either.

It's comparable to an American Italian chain (it is part of a group that also has several Mexican restaurants) like a combo of an Olive Garden, Artisan Pizza and neighborhood small town pizza shop. Not the best, not comparable to Italian you will find in a larger city, but still good and at a fair price compared to most sit-down restaurant chains. I don't think it would do so well in a tiger city but like many smaller towns they have to make compromises for a smaller audience, and more limited resources. I think they made a good effort and we would come back. The pizza dough was tasty, and sized right for me. The cheesy bread was not so great and too dried out. The salad was simple but adequate. We also ordered bruschetta which was too mild and kind of ordinary but maybe that's what the locals like. Usually there is more seasoning, olive oil in the mix and a more toasted baguette slices.

I arrived and gave them my name and there was no pizza. My order somehow got lost. They said it would take about 6 minutes so I decided to wait. More like 30 mins overall time from when I walked in the door to the time I left with the pizza. The inside was dimly lit and had a neat brick wall boxing in the kitchen. There were bench seating and chair table options. I still don't know how they lost the order but guessing it was never put in. I even confirmed the phone number worried I called another location. The service was super friendly even with the trouble. I ordered a 19" pepperoni, sausage, and onion pizza. I had another 70 mins on the drive but the pizza made it home without me getting into it but that part was torture. Pizza was good, suave was a little bit more tomatoey but still good. They could have also tossed in a free drink or bag of chips for the inconvenience but was offered nothing for their mix up and charged full price. I would recommend if local or dining in. Staff was a highlight here but going with OK, 3 stars, for the overall inconvenience and the extra time added to my trip. I can say I am glad I waited.

It's a nice little restaurant, staff is friendly, and the food is very tasty. I typically like to order the stuffed shells with Alfredo sauce, recently I started adding Italian sausage with it for a little bit or zing and protein. The portions are typically huge and worth the price! The only feedback I can give that stopped this from being a 5* review is that often they are missing ingredients for certain dishes. Last time it was Caesar dressing, one time it was the Italian sausage, and the list goes on. They have a chalk board at the front to show you what items/ingredients they are out of for the day. Regardless, there are enough great recipes that you can absolutely find something that will be just as great.

We had a house salad and the meals came with their homemade cheese bread and marinara. Everything was absolutely delicious. We ate every bite (no leftovers to take home)! I was told 'seven minutes' and then after 15 more minutes, I asked if they were making our pizzas now. (Because I could see them looking chaotic and making our pizzas based on the toppings). Only then was I told, "yes. Something happened. They were made but they think someone took them. They were making them right away and they would be just a few more minutes." The pizzas were ready at 7:16. In that time, only one server asked me if I would like a drink while I waited. Once they were finished, they were each opened for me by the cook to make sure that they all looked good. I appreciated that. No communication and we paid full price and I left a cash tip. I've been here before and service is always lacking a bit and unorganized but this visit was crazy.
