Highly recommend Menos Place for the views and the food! It was well worth the hour long wait for the chilaquiles. I recommend ordering a scramble or an omelette that comes with chilaquiles on the side, the portions are huge!

We had a wonderful breakfast at their rooftop restaurant on a Sunday morning. We got there around 9:30 and got right in. When we left all the tables were taken and there was a line waiting. After ordering our breakfast they bring around fresh pastries that were delicious. I got two eggs with hash browns. I needed a break from all the sauces with the eggs. My wife ordered the vegetable omelette with fruit. Others ordered eggs and waffle and omelette. My eggs were cooked perfectly and the hash browns crisp. Everyone else enjoyed theirs. Beautiful view from the rooftop. We talked to the owner and said their pizzas are the best. Thin crisp sourdough crust. We will have to give it a try.

Delicious brunch with beautiful views. Our meals were fresh and flavorful for a great breakfast along with amazing service. Everyone was very friendly as well as attentive. We tried hotcakes as well as a breakfast omelet. The omelet came with chilaquiles and we made a request for the verse sauce - so good.

Great breakfast and view! Had the chicken enchiladas and fruit plate, delicious! Price is reasonable and service great!

We visited during the low season on a Monday for dinner and our experience with the staff was very intimate because we had the place to ourselves. We started with the Rockefeller clams, then had the Mare E Monti pasta with shrimp and bacon, and a chile tomato, Parmesan cream sauce, and the Contest brick oven pizza that consists of shrimp, peas, tomato, with a cream sauce and arugula. I would recommend trying it all, and bring cash, the prices are reasonable but this is a cash only establishment. Cesar, and the rest of the staff made our dinner experience one of a kind. Meño's Place has quickly become one of our PV favorites. We look forward to many more visits to experience their vast menu options.

Went here for Friday lunch, took the elevator up to the rooftop of a complex building. Open air with cover. Great service, friendly & attentive staff with English speaking. Great foods, perfect portion and good price (similar to US from my perspective). Great view of the neighborhood and the beach.

Meño's Pizza: a pizza topped with a Ribeye steak and marrow!!! AMAZING! My mind just blew!

BEST FOOD IN TOWN I am hesitant to post this review as this place might get too crowded once people discover what a gem this is!!! Roof top views of the city and beach are only topped by their delicious food! Have you ever had a pizza topped with ribeye steak and marrow? I bet not! Ask Jesus to be your waiter. He's THE BEST!!!

This place never disappoints! We come every trip breakfast is so good! However, the dinner is supposed to be amazing!!!! Adorable outdoor venue, the wife runs the restaurant- her husband, for who the restaurant is named and started is passed away. Love Vallarta and Meno's!

Excellent food, great views of the ocean & neighborhood, outstanding service, and at reasonable prices. And to top it off, the owner dropped by for a friendly chat. What a great way to cap off our wonderful week in Puerto Vallarta! The menu includes a wide range of choices, from mexican to italian to seafood to wood-fired oven pizza. I was intrigued by the Chicken Lasagna, with bechamel and a lighter tomato sauce than regular lasagna, and it was very good. My wife had fettucine with salmon and asparagus which she said was delicious. We didn't get to try their brunch, maybe next time. (And for friends from Canada, one waiter spoke French, English and Spanish)

When you come to this place you have to check in with the front downstairs. Once there's space and she can let you in, she will let you use the elevator to go up to level 4. The view upstairs is beautiful!! We were greeted and sat down quickly. Our server was attentive and came to check in with us during our time there. The food was delicious!! We got an appetizer thinking that we could finish it, but no, it was too much. They make the tortillas by hand and they are big. We got quesadillas de carne to share (came with 3). I had menudo in the blazing hot weather & my man got chilaquiles con chicharron!! Deliciousness all around. I would come back again!

Great service, nice view, wonderful food, and affordable. What a great place for a great night of food. The fish was one of the best prepared dishes I have had in a while. The team in the kitchen knows what they are doing. The pear salad was great with perfect pears. Need to mention the homemade sourdough bread is very special and the butter--Wow so good. With a great serving staff and the great prices for this level of food - you should add this place to your PV rotation.

    Two bites in. Sorry!

After looking up good places to go, Bar La Playa came up- and I'm sure glad it did! First, it's easy to get to if you're coming from North. Our Uber was easily able to drop us off without getting stuck in gridlock traffic that can affect certain roads of this area. Additionally, the location isn't a high-traffic area for tourists. That meant we were able to walk up and immediately find seats. Second, the service was top notch. I didn't get the bartenders name, but he was very welcoming, friendly, hospitable and spoke English. Just an overall cool dude and was glad to support his business. Third, the drinks were great. Finally, we were drinking 'real' drinks, not the watered down sugary stuff at the hotel. We were very satisfied with the taste of the drinks. Fourth, the prices are really good. Mexico has gotten expensive and this was a sigh of relief. You can have a great time here without feeling like you paid an arm and a leg. I highly-highly recommend making Bar La Playa your first stop when coming to this area. You're going to get great service, great drinks and all at a price that is reasonable and fair.

They use tanqueray as their house gin which is unusual but a pleasant surprise as it actually happens to be my preferred brand. I didn't have high hopes for the martini - I find that outside of major U.S. cities places end up putting in way too much vermouth - and it actually ended up being fantastic. It didn't taste too different from what I would make at home which is probably the best thing I could say about a martini (for my own personal taste). I tried a fruitier one - the Gigi - as my second and final drink. It was good but I'm just not a fruity drink person. I just wasn't equipped to handle another standard martini lol. The ambiance is phenomenal - it was both casual and comfortable yet classy. The crowd was much older than I expected although not in a bad way at all. There were lots of expats in their 50s and 60s. I was worried it would be a rowdy rooftop and by contrast it was actually a very chill vibe. Only complaint is that the bathroom is outside of the venue down the stairs and you need a key to enter, which was a bit annoying bc I wanted to use the restroom before I left and I forgot to ask for the key on my way out. Small annoyance and certainly wouldn't prevent me from going back.

We ALWAYS tip don't get me wrong, but our server's shift must have been over because she only came once we finished eating to pick up our plates and once we paid she immediately said "do you need your change?"
