Great spot along the board walk. Delicious food and drinks. The food hede is amazing. Check them out.

Great service great food as well as great views. Started with a classic margarets then had Gluten-free shrimp ceviche and chile relleno with fresh warm corn taco shells

    Love these plates!

Best mole outside of the one my husband cooks. The chicken was tender. The flank steak had a great flavor. I like my steak medium rare and it was tender and juicy. Great place. We had the window table and saw the sunset and fireworks.

I was walking the malecón and neighboring area looking for some breakfast. There wasn't anything open nearby before 9am except for a Starbucks. I waited until this restaurant opened. This restaurant is located in downtown in a highly touristic area, so I must admit that my expectations were low. I'm so glad that they exceeded my expectations. My party of four walked in and we were the first ones to dine here. The restaurant is ample in size and it has nice decor. I wanted to order everything on the menu. They have chilaquiles, steak, and so many thing in between. I ordered the desayuno caporal - it had a little bit of everything that I wanted. I had a piece of skirt steak, chilaquiles, refried beans, and an egg cooked to your liking. It also came with homemade tortillas which were fantastic. I love cafe de olla - it's coffee made in a pot with spices, like cinnamon. It was really good and I was happy to know they offered refills. Dining here was a wonderful experience. Good service, fair prices, amazing food and it's central to many points of interest.

Stumbled by this place after finding some coffee and was not disappointed! Very cute vibe, all the chairs have cute names on the back, Service was amazing, yummy and authentic chilaquiles, we got the green and the chipotle! Great brunch spot that satisfied every bit of our food snobbery! The Mexican coffee was amazing too!

Stopped in this restaurant while we were walking along the Malecon. Every little thing was delicious. The server, Yasir, was great and the foot was wonderful. A simple quesadilla made well is such a difference. I highly recommend this spot if you want to eat while watching the waves

Stopped in to have a light lunch meal after a "roper" convinced us to go. We ordered guacamole, shrimp tacos and a chile relleno. The guacamole was prepared table side and was simple and delicious! Really done right without the ridiculous tomatoes added in the states. A must have. The shrimp tacos we expected to be tiny street taco style since this was an appetizer, but they were a substantial set of 4 on blue corn tortillas with a creamy sauce on the side. Simple but delicious. The chile relleno was a different style than I have seen in the states. I liked it. A lighter salsa and not enchilada type sauce covering it. Generally I am suspicious of restaurants in a tourist area on a main street but I can say that this one is an exception.

Ambiance is awesome. Haven't got my food yet but the service is very friendly. Merry Christmas

Food was ok. There are a lot more restaurants with better food and better prices. I recommend Sonorita for tacos.

After looking up good places to go, Bar La Playa came up- and I'm sure glad it did! First, it's easy to get to if you're coming from North. Our Uber was easily able to drop us off without getting stuck in gridlock traffic that can affect certain roads of this area. Additionally, the location isn't a high-traffic area for tourists. That meant we were able to walk up and immediately find seats. Second, the service was top notch. I didn't get the bartenders name, but he was very welcoming, friendly, hospitable and spoke English. Just an overall cool dude and was glad to support his business. Third, the drinks were great. Finally, we were drinking 'real' drinks, not the watered down sugary stuff at the hotel. We were very satisfied with the taste of the drinks. Fourth, the prices are really good. Mexico has gotten expensive and this was a sigh of relief. You can have a great time here without feeling like you paid an arm and a leg. I highly-highly recommend making Bar La Playa your first stop when coming to this area. You're going to get great service, great drinks and all at a price that is reasonable and fair.

They use tanqueray as their house gin which is unusual but a pleasant surprise as it actually happens to be my preferred brand. I didn't have high hopes for the martini - I find that outside of major U.S. cities places end up putting in way too much vermouth - and it actually ended up being fantastic. It didn't taste too different from what I would make at home which is probably the best thing I could say about a martini (for my own personal taste). I tried a fruitier one - the Gigi - as my second and final drink. It was good but I'm just not a fruity drink person. I just wasn't equipped to handle another standard martini lol. The ambiance is phenomenal - it was both casual and comfortable yet classy. The crowd was much older than I expected although not in a bad way at all. There were lots of expats in their 50s and 60s. I was worried it would be a rowdy rooftop and by contrast it was actually a very chill vibe. Only complaint is that the bathroom is outside of the venue down the stairs and you need a key to enter, which was a bit annoying bc I wanted to use the restroom before I left and I forgot to ask for the key on my way out. Small annoyance and certainly wouldn't prevent me from going back.

I say "small", as the the inside spaces, on all three floors, can get tight, especially the first and third floors. However, the outdoor space on the second floor makes up for it all! Wraparound seating, string lights and gorgeous murals...this courtyard is where we spent more of our time while at Anonimo. We were here for the cocktails of course, so we hit the main floor first, then made our way up to the third floor before settling in the outdoor courtyard. Drinks here are standard beer and cocktails. Pricing is great, as with most places in the area. While are not cash only, they do highly recommend cash and have a 500 pesos limit for credit card usage. If you are only have a drink or two, you may not be able to hit that, but we just put our groups first round on the same tab and were able to make do with no issues. Service was friendly and welcoming, space was fun, open and distinctly PV. Overall, we loved it and will certainly be back on future visits!

Te amo barra de videos!…read more Anónimo is a queer cocktail bar in Puerto Vallarta on the just outside the outskirts of the Zona Romantica area in PV. It's a multi-story bar lounge to hang and enjoy some great cocktails as well as some amazing music and music videos from all over. They closed a little earlier than normal the night we stopped in, a bit surprising for a Saturday night but definitely still enjoyable since we closed the bar out on the patio of the top floor overlooking the street with two solid drinks. Our bartender was really easy going offered for us to pick a few videos but one of the customers was on a role so we just let them have it - only a little off after they started skipping videos. The entire layout is very fun, definitely watch you step and your head if you're tall like me and the novio. Definitely a great spot to wrap up the night and/or start it off. The second level has this amazing wide patio deck with a beautiful mural. Definitely need to hang there a bit next time. We only had one minor issue with change here, but it got resolved really easily. Everyone we met was kind, friendly and welcoming even the person living their best life as the impromptu video dj of the night shot after shot. It's a full bar, no eats, but nothing but great energy and beats.
