Micro Center 07-28-26…read more My grandson is building him a new gaming computer. We chose to get the parts from Micro Center in Dallas, TX. They have everything you need and could want for your computing needs. It's overwhelming with so many choices to chose from. We walked around trying to find the computer case. Lots and lots of cases. That's when we met Tim. He was totally awesome and jumped in and took care of all our needs. My grandson had a list a friend made for him of what we needed. He took and made a shopping list for us. Then he asked if we wanted help getting all the parts. We said Yes! He was great, he took our buggy and took off and got everything on our list. I would say above and beyond what we expected. He had everything at the checkout counter for us. It was a great experience. I highly recommend Micro Center for all your Computer needs. Ask for Tim Hill and he will take care of your computer needs.

On my last visit, I was waiting about 10 minutes for an item to be brought up from the back. While I was waiting, I asked another employee about a different product, and he told me he didn't want to "jump on the other guy's commission." As a customer, that shouldn't be my problem. I also asked if a specific DJI controller worked with a drone. The employee immediately said yes because both products had "FPV" in the name. That's not how DJI compatibility works. There are multiple FPV drones and controllers, so that alone doesn't tell you anything. At checkout, I declined the extended warranty. Cashier Ryan C. gave me the sales pitch, I declined again, he kept going, ended with, "It's only $25," then just stood there staring at me until I said no a third time before finishing the transaction. This isn't a one-time experience. It's like this every time I shop here. The only reason I come back is because it's the only place you can buy these products in person.

He was pleasant, agreeable and a nice guy. Not like the jaded, depressed and tired people I always encounter here. No attitude, just rang up my stuff and spoke to me. That's how it should be. Not that hard to do. Its fun to watch the people running the lanes. Their demeanor would impress a 5 star general! Tell Patton to keep up the great work and don't let the others bring him down.

I didn't have time to go driving to stores and spend unnecessary time looking for parking spots and then waiting online so I just did the Instacart thing and ordered from every place I needed to and everything kind of arrived at the same time while I had spent time in the gym you know what I'm saying? So my niece and her husband from New York are coming for Easter and my nephew, her brother that lives here in Dallas with me he's coming as well so I told the kids I was not gonna make them Easter baskets. They're grown adults for crying out loud, but I did tell them I was gonna have a little Candy Bar upscale, you know with my beautiful crystal champagne glasses filled with jelly beans and other shaped glassware filled with See's Candy foil wrapped eggs, and other things that I could remember that are Easter faire- so the kids said to me, but auntie Marie is there not gonna be any peeps? Peeps like the little yellow chicken things? Yes auntie Mary and we like the blue ones too! lol so I was on a quest to find these dang blue and yellow chicken peeps mind you they didn't want the pink bunnies because they said the bunnies don't go peep only the chickens, so InstaCart and Target came to the rescue. I did find them and they are secured safely in my cupboard. Lol so if there's something specific that's got your taste buds for an nostalgic Easter check out Instacart first even if you want to go to the store in person it will tell you if it's available at the store that you wanna go to to save you some time and travel

This is, without question, the worst customer service experience I have ever had in my life…read more I am a long-time customer of Best Buy (often telling people it was my favorite store growing up) and previously spent tens of thousands of dollars through their Magnolia program on a high-end home system. All I am trying to do now is schedule a technician--and after four separate calls and nearly TWO HOURS of total time, I still cannot get help. What happened here is beyond unacceptable aside from dropped calls, repeat transferring to other people, a genuine lack of willingness to go any ounce of extra mile: * Just to even potentially progress with a human, I was required to retrieve a TV model and serial number, which meant removing a heavy TV mounted on an outdoor brick wall above a fireplace--by myself--while still on the phone being asked questions. The recordings would detail me almost dropping the tv in the midst of this. * That task is not only difficult, it's genuinely unsafe and likely impossible for 90% of customers * I am now left with expensive equipment disassembled that I physically cannot reinstall alone * I've called 1-800-548-0828 four times, repeating the same information each time despite them clearly seeing my prior calls * Long holds, no progress, and being told they "can't assist" * Directed to call Magnolia...which is the exact same number I'm already calling * Conflicting information about hours * No manager available at any point What's even more concerning is that during my fourth call, a Best Buy technician attempted to contact Magnolia support internally four separate times herself--and also received no assistance. This clearly indicates the issue is not just customer-facing, but a completely broken internal system. To add insult to injury, after all of this, I'm being asked things like whether I've unplugged the TV for two minutes--which is mind-numbingly insulting given the situation and the level of equipment involved. I appreciate not all customers are tech savvy and I'm sure this is an occasional fix, but let's read the room Best Buy. For me to even take the time to write this review--the only productive outcome of being on hold for nearly an hour--says everything. I have NEVER in my life written a negative google review. As a business owner myself, I would want to know if I was so drastically disappointing my most loyal of customers. And now, even basic transparency is an issue. I am given a case number and told calls are recorded, yet when I ask for records or documentation of these interactions, I'm told "there is no way to do that." That is simply not credible. If it's a policy limitation, say that--but claiming it's impossible is unacceptable. To be clear on the impact: because of this experience, I have recently redirected over $20,000 of purchases to Costco instead of Best Buy and will continue to do so. That is business they will keep losing purely due my lack of believe they have any interest in relentlessly assisting the customer. This isn't just poor service--it's a complete operational failure--unsafe guidance, broken internal support, no escalation path, and zero respect for a customer's time.

Can you find items for less somewhere online? There is a chance that you can as with most things, even target pulls the buy it online for pick up for less than walking into the store. Can you make more by selling your items online yourself? Yes you can! There is some trade off to being able or willing to take a bit of a hit on things if you know its out of our hair right away vs things sitting at our home for possibly months waiting for it to sell on online resale sites. For my personal experience, this shop took care of us when repairing my PS2. They have always been awesome to my kiddo when we've brought him in to shop. He got more for some skylander figures, than he would have at other similar stores. Honestly my kid made money on the skylanders cause we had gotten them on super clearance when being phased out of most stores and we had held on to them and lucked out that my younger kiddo liked the game too!

We had lightning hit our property which took out a bunch of electronics including our Yamaha RX-V 683 receiver. Web search indicated these guys as a service center and the reviews were positive. So I loaded up and headed that way as I had another errand in the same neighborhood. Lugged the unit in, set it on the counter where the man (owner) said "What you got there?". "My dead Yamaha AV receiver.". "We don't work on audio anymore.". Hmm. Geez. Most of their reviews are for audio stuff. He said they really only work on TVs now. Posted as a PSA. Call before you haul. And they need to get their listing on Yamaha's Service Centers page removed.

If it can't be repaired, or it's simply not worth it, they will let you know. I had Josh (I think that was his name) replace the lcd array on my 72 inch Sony TV. It cost me $500. Replacement of that TV would have been over $2000. As an added bonus, he reinstalled my sound bar and subwoofer in the way that it should have been installed from the beginning and the sound is 100 times better. I cannot recommend this business in any stronger terms. Check with them before you throw away a TV that can be saved.
