Found a hair in our food, one only one dish but TWO and who knows what else, nobody came up and apologize, and we spoke with the host and she said" well she did take it off" okayyy and we deserved an apology, or a Manager to come up and apologize, this is unacceptable, nobody was wearing a hair net in the kitchen because you could see the kitchen from where we were sitting, We also did wait a while for are food and I get it was a Saturday but to wait for an hour for are food and then there's a hair in it very upsetting and ruined are appetites, we won't be back, and will tell everyone not to go here. read more

This is an update for our review from 2 years ago. Things have changed since then for the better. We have been back a few times and there is finally consistency with each visit. We ask for the young lady that had just started when we started going back. She was somewhat inexperienced but with each visit it seemed she is learning the job and is now our favorite waitress. The kitchen has definitely improved. Food comes out hot and prepared well every time. We are glad we gave them a 2nd chance. read more

Very friendly efficient service. Lots of room inside and not busy on weekday breakfast time. Seemed to have several local regulars there: but very accessible for highway traffic. My scrambled eggs were not greasy and cooked exactly the way I like them either a bit of cheese. Lots of hash browns included and sausage patty was decent. Nothing exceptional about the pancakes. Of note: the syrup was served in a slightly warmed olive oil bottle: this worked perfectly and I had never seen this! First time I have experienced syrup without any stickiness or mess. I note that my uncle literally invented the "drip proof" containers used for a bit by Staley's (?) syrup company, which never really worked. Another innovation in the restaurant is the way the condiments are organized on the table. BTW they also sell gourmet olive oils that come in different natural flavors from a small olive farm (overseas) managed by Ann Arborites. First sign of trouble was hostess yelling at staff. Menu looked good but food was terrible. Wife ordered a Power Bowl mistake chickpeas and tomato sauce with minimal spinach and broccoli. We stopped in here on 12/6/24 after trying this restaurant exactly one year prior. I will say the food is fine, prices are fine. The issue is the service, not good at all. Fairly certain the same staff as a year ago, our server definitely was. I paid attention to the entire restaurant (which wasn't packed there were about 13 people, likely less eating). The staff would disappear for long periods of time, talking back by the kitchen, would you like a refill of your coffee, sure if you would like to get it yourself. Refill on water, nope. How's your food can I get you anything else, no. When it was time to drop the bill, the lady came to the table, can I get you anything else, no. Dropped the bill on our table and walked away. When it was time to pay I had to wait for her to finish her conversation, then close out her cell phone app, then she arrived at the register told me the total and that was that. Stopped here with my daughter and her two children, ages 11 and 18. My daughter's ice water was undrinkable, very strong mineral flavor. My "southwest bowl" consisted of an enormous pile of canned chickpeas, a few bits of cubed chick, a tablespoon of shredded yellow tasteless cheese, and literally a teaspoon of avocado on top. All this was drowned in a canned enchilada sauce, the whole being nearly inedible. 18 year old's burger was ok, but her fries were VERY dark brown and soggy. My daughter's turkey Reuben consisted of one piece of turkey with a little mayo, slaw on the side was cabbage mush. Grandson's pancakes just ok. Nearly all entrees were not even lukewarm. Had lunch with my mom and sister. Staff unprofessional from the start arguing over our seating in front of us. My sister ordered butternut squash soup and I ordered beef barley. The butternut soup was a very dark brown color and tasted horrible. My sister asked if she could change to the beef barley. Barley soup was a tan color, no beef visible and tasted like wallpaper paste. My mom ordered a cheese quesadilla. It came plain. Looked old and dry. She asked for salsa and sour creme. They brought salsa, then charged her $1 for it and didn't tell her. Waitress said they don't carry sour creme. Waitress then asked about the soup issue. She then proceeded to tell us how horrible the cook is, that he doesn't care what anyone thinks of his food and takes no pride in his work. Even after all that I wouldn't have complained. You get a bad meal now and again. It was the bill that had both soups for my sister, and the $1 for the salsa. I refused to pay for the soup that went back. When I took bill to counter and asked for manager, could see and hear the waitress yelling loudly to the cook all the comments we made. Then the manager came and was immediately confrontational. I said we sent a soup back because it was very bad. He said "No, YOU don't like it." I said I had issue paying for 2 soups, that were both horrible and no one ate any of. He said "its like the grocery store, you take, you pay." He said he would adjust the bill, but began harassing me, wanting me to tell him more for his benefit. He was very creepy, kept leaning towards me and had a menacing look. I told him what his waitress said about the cook, and he said I was benefiting him. I just wanted my change and to leave but he kept talking about his benefit. I finally said, I'm not here for your benefit, give me my change and we'll never be back. He then began yelling thank you and have a good day very condescendingly. My biggest regret was turning to the people waiting to be seated, who could hear this entire exchange, to turn and run. First time here and wasn't disappointed it's close by and reasonably priced for how much food you get. They have a big menu and everything sounds so good I ordered the homer #2 and a Mickey pancake for my toddler and that thing was huge! She loved it! My French toast were big and fluffy! I chose this place to meet an old friend halfway between her town and mine. All the reviews seemed decent especially on Google. My experience was so so. I ordered a southern omelet and had them add hash browns inside as this was how I'd had it in other restaurants. I took my first bite and it was really wet. Turns out it was really undercooked. They quickly remade it for me although they forgot the hash browns inside that time. It was better but just ok. The table next to us had issues too. They had ordered Mac and cheese which was only noodles with some cheese melted on top. They had it taken off their bill. Sadly I would give McDonalds a better Breakfast review then here. Waiting 30min to be seated while about a dozen tables were clear. Management was more concerned about cashing out orders then seating guest. After the long wait, we waiting nearly an hour for our food (mind you eggs and hasbrowns). To top it off, the food was cold and the order was wrong. Asked to speak with Management and was met with the Store Manager yelling at me and trying to blame me for the poor service.
