My husband and I have been coming in here for years. We love having breakfast here. The morning crew is great. Fast friendly servers and the cooks are amazing. We no longer eat dinner here. The night cooks don't seem to care about their food or presentation of their food. Which is sad because the servers are usually really sweet. The last couple times we gave it another try on night shift we noticed the cooks out back smoking weed. They then come in and make the entire restaurant smell of Marijuana. I would say if you go there make sure it's before the first shift crew is gone. We won't be coming back for dinner! We also noticed the guy who is in regular close whom we assume might be management is also outside smoking weed with the guys who have the cooks clothing on. We know he is something there because he also comes back to the grill. Not a good look! read more

Yelp has heightened my awareness of the many social issues in today's society. Whenever I check in here at the restaurant, I am reminded of the many deficiencies that this establishment embraces. Do they use plastic straws? Whenever I order hot tea they never bring a straw to me so I can't comment. Do they have rooftop dining? Sadly, the answer is no. I'm sure they have plenty of room on the roof, but they provide no seating up there for your dining pleasure. Do they have lactation rooms? Sadly again, no. On behalf of all truck drivers, I want to get this off of my chest. I reach out to persons of any gender that are lactating, and encourage them to bare all, and express themselves. Do they provide high chairs? They have never offered one to me, so perhaps not. You would think that if they had them readily available, there would be one at each table and booth. (Okay, I saw some stacked up in the corner). Do they have outdoor seating? Again, no. Is there a parking garage nearby? No. Is street parking available? No. Do they have validated parking? No. Do they have gender neutral restrooms? No. Are we getting the picture here?!? All of my responses are negative. So it it me, or the restaurant that makes Yelp mad? Maybe if they offered validated parking ...... things might improve. Oh yeah - the food is delicious, the service is excellent, and the prices are great. Plus, I receive a Military Discount of 10% just for the asking. read more

When we are traveling the highways of America we are always looking for the Diner or Truck Stop to catch a good hot meal. Today it was more a local Diner than truck stop even though this diner is connected to a c-store and gas station. Regardless 115 has a large clean dinning room that was mostly filed with locals. The tables near us were reserved for a funeral party. Why do we call it a funeral party? I digress. Further cementing my feeling why this is a local favorite and with good reason. The menu is solid serving all day long. But we were there for breakfast and we all enjoyed our choices. My Wife and mother-in-law had the corned beef w/ eggs and a two pancake side breakfast which they both agreed was very good with just the right amount of crunch on the grilled cooked corned beef hash. My breakfast was the polish dog. This was a 4 oz. kielbasa sliced and nicely grilled with two egg and my favorite raisin toast. They say breakfast is the best dine out meal value and when three can eat for $21.00 it is hard to disagree with that idea. To sum it up the service was friendly and quick and three hungry folks left with smiles and filled bellies. read more

My husband and I went to the 115 for dinner a couple of weeks ago...one waitress was leaving the end of her shift. did not see a replacement. there was only one waitress, serving, cash register and assisting customers. The restaurant MANGER, sitting talking while the waitress is kicking butt by herself. it took her 17 minutes to even get a menu to us. after a 1/2 hour the manager is still sitting in a booth chatting. Instead of the MANAGER. helping the waitress out. she went to her office. POOR MANAGMENT. We ended up leaving and we were told several other customers left. THIS RESTAURANT NEED A NEW MANAGER!!!!!!! wont go back on a rating of 1 to 10 mine is 3. so sad. read more

I don't go here too often but when I do I usually get the biscuits and gravy for breakfast and boy do they load you up!! I am very full by the time I'm done eating for a very good price. I also really like their burgers too. I really like this place though I often order for takeout, I'm sure I'll bring the wife in one of these days for dinner. Keep it up 115!! read more

Went for lunch at 2:30 Sunday, walked in with a couple behind us. They received coffee and their food before we received our drinks or ordered. We were seated back to back so this was particularly irritating plus I was facing the door and the booth were the rest of the waitresses were sitting with the cook standing around talking. I don't blame our waitress there wasn't any other staff working. Hopefully the owner takes notice and lights a fire under this group. I've eaten there many times and it's hearty truck stop food. Very disappointing visit, we walked out and told the whole group why we were walking out, still didn't get up, no apology or effort to improve the situation. When you walk in you probably will out as this is was pretty dirty. Food was cooked from a frozen bag. Fake butter/sour cream/etc. The staff seemed bored and had no personality. Unless your desperate, you would be better off going just about anywhere else. We had no big expectations from a truck stop diner but this place was not worth half of what I paid. read more

Great Interstate Diner on Michigan's I-94 Do you plan on driving westbound on I-94, mid-morning back from Detroit or Ann Arbor? Than put "115 Restaurant" as a breakfast stop. My son was recovering from the wedding the night before, he was hungry, but he didn't want another McDonald's, Burger King or fast food place. "Turn here. Get off at exit 115. This is what I want to try." Like father like son I guess :) It's not fancy. This morning it looked more like a nursing home cafeteria (heck, I'm 10 - 15 years from the nursing home myself). But the waitress was older than me, friendly, and had a great sense of humor. "You want the senior citizen special? Sure thing. You don't look that old." Fritz - Double-bacon BLT, french fries, mozzarella sticks. Dad - Biscuits and gravy with two eggs. Honest down home B & G. My wife makes the best B & G in the world so it's hard for a restaurant to compete. But 115 Restaurant does a good job. Mom - A ham salad sandwich. It was just OK. 12 ONION RINGS. My wife said it was odd. Why are they selling "12" onion rings, why that number? Who cares. My wife (whose family ran a restaurant, who makes great food herself) said they were the best home-made onion rings she ever tasted. At the end of breakfast I looked at my son and said, "How about dessert?". He turned to the waitress and asked about dessert. She said: "Honey, the best thing we've got is apple crisp with ice cream smothered in melted caramel sauce and chocolate sauce. If it were me, I'd get that." We did. Fritz ate most of it but let his parents nibble and the humongous dessert. My wife said the dessert was "fabulo". Truck stop ambiance, fantastic onion rings and dessert, good food, friendly service. If you're travelling I-94 through Michigan, I hope you find your way to "115 Restaurant". It will always be a good memory and a story told in my family. And best of all, "like father like son". It's the restaurant I would have chosen if I was 25 years old looking for a friendly truck stop diner. read more

Eat there often, for over the passed year. It's a Mom and Pop type Diner. Sundays are very busy and nice sized portions on the plate, more then hubby and I can sometimes eat. Specials or always different and extremely tasty. Love their Zippy Bean Soup, Hubby and I have yet to have a bad experience or bad food. Serve has always been great. We live near serveral restaurants and truckstops, but, we go out of our way to the 115. read more
