I bought a home with 30 year old pool equipment. I needed to move the location and install new pumps, salt system, and service existing equipment. I contacted 15 pool contractors and companies, of which 4 responded. Freedom Pools was the only company to call me back and told me exactly what I needed to do to prepare the new site. They also were the only company to provide a detailed estimate of the costs and install time at a very competitive price. On the day of install, they showed up on time, had all the right components, and installed the entire new system in one day. The old pump was so loud you could not have a conversation next to it, and it cost over $100 per month to run. I'm so glad I replaced the equipment and found an honest reliable installer to specify the right system and install it all correctly. We bought a house with a pool, but the heater was so old that it couldn't be repaired. We called a few places for estimates, and quickly determined that Freedom Pool Services was going to be the best match for our needs. The value for our dollars was better than the others, and the service they provided was personal and professional. The job was going to take place over several days, and rather than make us wait to get started, they came out on a holiday weekend Saturday to get us started. Communication was good. Problems that arose were clearly communicated. When the county inspector found a small problem (based on the remaining wiring of the old, outgoing equipment), they came out to fix it quickly and cheerfully. We found Freedom Pool Services through Nextdoor and Yelp a few years back after lacklustre pool maintenance from another smaller and less-well-known company. Since then we have had excellent service with the Freedom team, they are very knowledgeable, quickly responsive to questions or requests, and do a good job of keeping our pool clean and well balanced. The rep emails us after each visit letting us know what they did and if there were any issues. When there are issues they take initiative to come over and fix it without even bothering us and just let us know later that they came and fixed it. If something is beyond their capability they have good suggestions of who to contact. Drew is always available when i email or call up. Highly recommend them. read more

I can't say enough good things about these guys. Neither my wife nor I have owned a pool before, but we bought a house with a pool last year. When we knew we were going to buy the house, we searched around for someone that would come by and give us a crash course on everything pool related. Drew and Freedom Pool Services were the only ones that offered such a service. Shortly after buying the house, Drew came by to give us a crash course on our pool. It was super helpful and he was great to talk to. A few months later, we had some problems with our pump, so we decided to upgrade to a variable speed one. At the same time, we decided to install a salt cell. Alen came out and did a fantastic job installing everything. As you can see in the pictures from others here, he did a great cutting pipes and making it look great. He also spent a good bit of time talking to me about the new pump, and allowed me to pepper with with n00b questions on pool ownership. Drew has always been willing to communicate over email, which I appreciate. I honestly hate dealing with the phone. They've been responsive even when I'm just asking questions about the pool. For instance, I had questions about what to do when my pool was overfilled a bit. Drew was super helpful and didn't make me feel like an idiot. Freedom installed a Polaris sweep and booster pump two years ago. The booster pump failed a week or so ago and, checking the manufacturer's website, it only had one year warranty. I asked Drew what he recommended and he said he would take care of it under (his) warranty that same week. Alen came out and took care of it, installing an upgraded part that would be more durable. I had a complex pool job involving a large pool, hot tub, gas heater and solar heating panels all controlled by a 15 year old Jandy control system. Alen upgraded my system with a new automation board and debugged a variable speed pump problem I had been having ever since it had been installed several years ago. As part of the job he also rewired my spa rermote control and helped me adapt my existing CL generation system so that it was fully compatible with the new automation capabilities. Now everything works flawlessly and I can use my iPhone to control my system no matter where I am. Or if I so chose I can use my original in-house wall panel controller or the control box at the pool. All of this was done at less than half the cost of the other quotes I had received. The other folks were trying to sell me a complete new control box and control system without bothering to tell me that all I had to do was to replace the internal Jandy board to get all the automation capabilities I needed plus as it turned out, much more. I greatly appreciated the fact that Alen patiently trained me in the operation of the new system and fully answered all my questions before, during and after the installation. Since I am an engineer I had lots of questions so this was no small task. Alen made the whole process seamless and easy. My pool operation is now much easier, more reliable and much more efficient than ever. If I have another pool service or upgrade need, Freedom Pool is my number one choice. My pool sweep was not functioning. I called two other pool services neither fixed or diagnosed the problem even though they did some alterations that didn't work. Freedom pool sent out a repairman who first listened to me thoroughly what I knew about the problem. He quickly discovered I had mistakenly connected the sweep hose to the wrong outlet next to the sweep outlet that looked the same. Freedom Pool Services was professional and has well trained service people. They are now my go to pool service I go to when I can't fix something. read more

This company replaced my pool filter unit. Positive: - The service was clean and well done. -The technician was on time. - The appointment process was easy. I called the company, left a message. They called me back. We talked about the service and the price. We made a schedule. They send me a confirmation email for the appointment. Negative: - The price was over the average. I admit that I found it out after the job was done and I didn't negotiate. - I paid the technician with credit card and he left without giving me an invoice. I had to email and to call them three times for getting an invoice via email. Conclusion: The pool filter unit works without any problem since 6 weeks now.
