Tried to contact Freedom Pools by phone for two days. First day left message and expected a call back next day. No call back so called the second day two or three times, kept diverting to leave a message. Finally sent an email asking if they ever answered their phone or called back (previous) customers. Got a call back from Drew admonishing me for being "rude" by letting the phone ring too many times. What is rude, is not answering a business phone and not returning business calls. I told Drew forget about any further business that I will be giving Freedom Pools. Think twice about giving them your business, and re-read the one bad review that they said was a chronic bad reviewer. Maybe not! read more

My situation in summary, bought a house with an outdated pool system. Received a quote from a local pool company which appeared to be very high. Upon a recommendation from a colleague, I contact Drew at Freedom Pool. Drew was not local but he drove put to my area anyway to assess my situation. Drew worked on my pool system for approximately two hours and advised me it would operate but I should consider upgrading my system in the future. Upon my request, Drew wrote a quote with the exact system listed on my previous quote from the other pool company. To my surprise, it was substantially lower with all the same components. And by substantially I mean several thousand dollars lower. Drew provided me with a very detailed quote with every part and labor price listed for each component. Drew also provided me with an install date the very next week, with a total job time estimate of one day to complete. My other quote had this to be a 4 day job. On the day of the job, Alan arrived on time with everything needed to complete the job. I was totally surprised Alan did this entire job himself and it took him the exact estimated time to complete, one day. My family and I enjoyed our upgraded pool and spa system that same night. Alan even returned, at no additional cost, the next week to make sure everything was operating as it should. To say I was blown away by this total experience with Freedom Pool Services would be an understatment. Also, with the money I saved I bought a robot sweep to pick up the fine dirt and sand that shows up from time to time from all the wind. Prior to buying the robot, I again called Drew for a recommendation on a robot. Drew went above and beyond once again and called several vendors from different states to get outside recommendations and price matches. Drew found me a trusted vendor in Florida who got me the robot sweep I wanted 200 dollars cheaper than buying it any where else. Drew got nothing from this sale and just did it because that's the kind of business he runs. What more can I say....to find a company like this is rare, not to mention the people who run it, Drew and Alan. Amazing work gentlemen! Freedom Pool was professional and patient from start to finish. We had a failed pool pump which they evaluated and proposed a reasonable solution to fix it instead of buying a new one. They came back several times to make sure the pool debris was cleaned up and that the pump was working correctly. Updating after the most recent service. This is how it went. Did not receive confirmation for the appointment date/time. I was at work, good thing my husband was at home, but it was a complete surprise and quite disruptive to his day. Even though I am the person who made all previous contact with them and paid the bills, they had my account under my husband's name. Pretty infuriating. Out of the list of things I requested for the latest service appointment, half were not completed: 1. I asked them to order multiple spare parts for the ozonator, not just one that needed replacing this time, however only one part was ordered and installed. No spares were provided. 2. I asked them to measure the pool for cover. They could not figure out how, and simply referred to a different company. 3. I asked them to install a chlorine tab dispenser, which they kind of did, if you count that only 2 out of 3 required screws are holding it to the concrete slab, and they are loose, so the unit wobbles about 10 degrees from vertical in all directions 4. I asked them to remove an old booster pump and clean up the piping. The pump was disconnected but left where it was. Piping was rerouted, but now the cut tubing and pipes are also there in addition to the previous maze of tubes. Great. Will not use them again, that's for sure. read more

Last year I needed to replace the heater, put in a variable speed pump, new lights, a salt chlorinator and a new control system. I saw this fancy system on one of the manufacturers website. Even though it was pricey, I wanted the latest and greatest. I don't remember if Drew or Alan came out. I like him because he is very honest. He actually talked me out of that expensive system and recommended something that was cheaper but met all my needs and wants. A few weeks later, I noticed something not working properly. They came out a couple of times to root cause the issue. It turned out it was due to a valve that was there before which was not their responsibility but they took care of it anyways so the system worked properly. That is good customer service. read more

I had such great service that I just had to write this review. Long story short, my saltwater pool stopped generating chlorine. I tried everything to figure out what was wrong. I gave Andrew a description of my errors, and he solved it for me through a Yelp message. He obviously knew what was wrong and could have come and charged me to fix it. Confirm everyone's ratings. Had Drew come out last week to replace pump and filter. Prices are very competitive. Work is good too. I have a leak in my control valve and initially we didn't know where the leak was. Drew was concerned and recommended a professional. Then I remembered my last pool service who had determined a leak in the control valve but put in a temporary fix. I later bought a replacement valve but didn't bother with it. As I remembered it and told Drew, he came in and replaced it and the leak was fixed! I told Drew he can charge me for labor but he didn't even mention it. Hard to find guys like that now. My pool cleared up so amazingly well there is no comparison. Before, I had to wash the filter every week and add bunch of chemicals. Now it seems like I don't even have to add anything and do anything for months. There is nothing like a good pump and filter to clear up the pool. read more
