I had a slide out gearbox fail on my 1-1/2 yr old 5th wheel. Luckily we were able to coax the crippled slide into the closed position with a lot of shoving. My selling dealer wouldn't give me a service appointment for a month! A cold call to Freedom RV got me a service appointment within 48 hours. My RV was repaired and returned neat and clean in a week with a new & improved OEM part and they covered the entire repair cost as a warranty claim! The location I used was their West side Tucson store at 6260 N Travel Center Drive located at I-10 & Orange Grove. (520)229-9187. Flash is his nick name, and we call him Gordon (his real name) was our sales person. He was very knowledgeable with campers because he owns one. This in regards to the service department. Brought 04 Roadtrek that was purchased several months earlier from Freedom back for service to the charging system. Supplied new battery to them for installation. They fixed the charging system but did not install the battery claiming it was a 1/2 inch too tall. This was not true, brought the battery back to batteries plus where they were able to install the battery without too much trouble. This shows a lack of effort on Freedom RVs part. read more

We brought our Newmar RV to Freedom's (Marana) repair facility for warranty work. It took two trips... the first to review and document the issues, the second for repairs. We are based in another state and came here specifically for repairs, so were a bit upset that things weren't done the first time in. But Elka and Donnie did an awesome job of taking care of us when Newmar finally blessed the repairs and sent the parts (hence, the second trip). Now that we understand how Newmar works we'll be able to deal with them with fewer trips. Donnie not only did a great job on the warranty work but helped us finalize design plans and install a washer/dryer combo in a unit that did not include one - and we're very, very pleased. Contacted the internet sales manager, was rudely pushed off onto a salesperson. Inquired about a coach they had at model year end and they provided a silly quote since "everyone is calling about it". Well if that's the case, it would be gone with the 2020s being out for over a month now. I have No patience for typical sales games. After further thought, we decided to factory order a coach and expected it at rock bottom price 30%+ off MSRP which is common in the industry. Was told we can't do that and refused to offer any counter. Basically, if you like games and don't want a good deal, I would not recommend Freedom RV by any means. read more

We love our new Travel Trailer. Giovanni our salesman was a very polite and helpful young man and Christian who was the acting GM the day we were there did a great job getting us the trailer we wanted for the price we wanted. One of the service guys even gave me his mobile number so I could call him if we had any questions on our first camping trip. After purchasing the 2019 trailer that was like new but was used and bought as is we had problems with the brake drum heating up on one side of the trailer. During our first trip out we got stuck up in Cottonwood about 3.5 hours from home due to the breaks heating up excessively. I called the service guys mobile number and he got Newt who manages the service area to help us to get our trailer back home safely. They looked at the brakes and found what they thought was causing the problem. We picked up our camper and parked it for 3 weeks. Then we took it camping about 20 miles from home. When I got back I felt the break drum again and it was so hot. I called Newt explained the problem still existed and he said bring it in we will make it right. They ended up turning the drums and replacing everything else with new parts, they even put new bearings and repacked the hubs, they took it 15 miles, tested the heat on the drums and made sure both sides were breaking correctly. The cost to fix it was $902 parts and labor and Newt covered it all for FREE because it was a safety issue. Thank you Freedom RV we love our camper and can now enjoy it free of worry. read more

Freedom RV - Our first camping trip in our new trailer - RV Dealers Near Me - Tucson, Arizona

We have never been treated as nice in all the years we have been RV owners. Our current RV is our 5th Motorhome so we have had a lot of experience with dealers. We have also had several trailers and even a Pickup camper. We have also camped in tents throughout Europe. 1st, let me explain that we are in our late 70s and have a 2008 Damon Astoria PE MH with 117K miles. It still runs perfectly although there are some blemishes here and there. We have considered getting a smaller RV as medical issues preclude us from long trips; some state/nat'l parks have a length limit; and the wife is reluctant to drive other than on the open road. We have visited several dealers in PA, AZ and States in between. We recently went to Freedom RV on Irvington in Tucson to look at some RVs. We were treated wonderfully by Hugo and were shown several of the in-stock RVs. None of these were exactly what we were looking for. Hugo referred us to the Marana office and recommended we talk to James. Upon our arrival we were introduced to Christian who immediately took us to a model that we were interested in. He displayed his knowledge of the RV and let us both drive it. After the demo ride we had a long discussion with both Christian and James. They were very honest about everything they explained everything from financing to trade-in. James made us feel like part of the family even tho' we had told him we would not be making a decision that day. After we returned home, analyzed all our options, cash available, health conditions, how many more years we would be able to do extended travel, we decided we would not invest in a new RV. We have decided to spend our $ on having a good time. (heading for Las Vegas in Sept. Wish us luck.) I started looking online and saw an Rv I liked and wanted to start by seeing if we could get the financial part first, then you know weather or not to continue and get your hopes up. I found out the trailer I was looking at was not made well(cheap construction and poor planning on the design) so I called and told them we were going to pass. I then got a text saying that I needed to look over the other inventory because he got approval and it wasn't easy. I did not want anything else they have. My husband calls me and says that the guy at Freedomrv ran his credit 8 times. No phone call after the first or second to see if my husband wanted to continue, he just kept ding ding ding on his credit to try and get us approved. NO you don't do that. We said pass and that should have been it. I am going to go ahead a update this review. I have now had repeated phone calls about my reviews from freedom RV. I was excited and I did want to be able to buy that cute trailer, I am a girl and it is adorable, but when I found out how well they were constructed I said we will pass, I at this time was unaware of the credit running since this was all being done under my husband. They did not have anything else that I wanted there. Done that's it. Most sales people really don't care about the person, they care about the sale, and that's exactly how I felt when I was told to check the other inventory. We said we were going to pass that's it. I understand that to secure financing things have to be done, credit reports have to be ran, you should be asking people, how aggressively do you want to pursue this, do or die? Be clear, so to be fair maybe I was not as clear as I should have been. In the future when trying to obtain financing for customers, you should ask, how aggressive do they want you to be. read more

My wife and I walked in today after recently getting an offer on our home. We have made the decision to spend some retirement years RV'ing around North America. We have $217,000 to spend, unfortunately for Freedom RV it won't be there. We were told at the Irvington location we could walk out and look around and a salesman would be out. We walked around for nearly 25 minutes but every unit was locked. We couldn't see the interior. No one came to meet us. After spending that time out in the 100 degree weather we walked back in the show room and there a guy was with his feet on the desk and a female on her phone. We were told we could go over to Park Place Mall to see some there? Umm, HELLO I just walked into your facility!! I didn't want to go to Broadway. So, off to a different dealership with the hopes to buy in the next month. Words of advice, YOU NEVER KNOW WHO HAS MONEY TO SPEND. read more

You might as well stop setting up at every resort and military rv camp because we decided to trade in our travel trailer today and stopped in to get some idea of what we want to buy next. Our salesman was about the most sullen we have ever experienced, had to have info about weight limits, price, layout pried from him. Acted pissed about having to show us different models. Just threw doors open and stood scowling. I finally walked out. Sales staff are so important, so why have this guy as the face of your business. If I could leave zero stars, I would. We've given this place several opportunities to impress us and they always fall short. Not only do they abandon you to go back inside to watch tv and sit in the AC while you search for an rv, they conveniently "lose their keys" to the rigs so you're stuck having to wait around on them. Furthermore, they are uneducated on what the numbers/letters even mean on the model of rv. (For example, a 33RL would clearly mean the trailer itself is 33ft minus tongue length and Rear Living). I wish so much I had read the reviews before agreeing to bring my sprinter here - We brought it based on a referral from a trusted shop. The beef is I brought it in with brand new batteries. $700. Brand. New. Charged. Batteries. They had it for a month "waiting for parts." I called and asked them to charge our batteries. I never received a call back letting me know they couldn't do that. My bad - I Assumed they would do it. Their bad - They never let me know that they are not responsible for batteries. Ever! Until I called them today letting them know about this costly problem. The customer rep just said there is a sign on the wall letting people know they aren't responsible for batteries. WTF? But no apology, no responsibility for their lack of follow-through to my message that they keep the batteries charged. read more

I'm changing my previous review. My elderly parents purchased a trailer from Freedom RV and had it delivered to California. Since they've had it they have had nothing but problems. The trim strips were all nailed on too forcefully so the staple went through them so they are falling off. The furnace doesn't work, the cushions are torn, there is a problem with the pressure regulator and more. The local dealer has been no help. They are elderly and trusted the salesman and that was a mistake. Buyer beware. read more

So how stupid was I to think i could live out my dream in 2020. We brought, what we thought would be our full time home after retiring from a combined 47 years of military service, to travel the US. After not 20 days of owning this RV we are on the road... returning to Arizona because we have had nothing but severe issues from the time we purchased until now. I am devastated. Emotion aside, we trusted this dealership and service department to do right by us. We let them keep the rig a week and a half after we brought it to fix the A/C issue. Then we pick it up, A/C goes bad... ok we'll fix it. Then we take it bc they've had it for a week already and we have our maiden trip planned at the end of the month. Well, then a hose that was grinded down exploded... Ok we call the service Dept, the manager, the sales rep to discuss and decide if we can get my car back bc we're scared we got a lemon. We work thru that with NO help from the service Dept and not so much as even a call back from them. The sales manager H was nice and tried to help but said we couldn't return it since it was "AS IS". Ok, fine... we love it we'll make it work and we expected hiccups. We're packed and ready to go and then the slide stops as we're trying to close up and pull off for our cross country trip. The slide closes and we hear a click and I try to open again and nothing. Slides won't expand... ok we'll try to get it fixed enroute bc we have $$$$$$ tied up in this and we have to go on this lifetime dream trip. We boondock in the tight confines of rig and are hopeful that our lemon can be fixed. We just left New Mexico service guy, called the RV manufacturer, and the slide manufacturer. The slide box is trash and this should have been caught in inspection... You mean the inspection we paid for at the dealership and supposedly that took an extra week. We call back and of course we get no help from the service Dept but this time it's because they said they refunded us the inspection $$$$... Thanks I guess. Life is so messed up i guess i should have never expected to be happy and enjoy life after the military. So now we're stuck with an $80K piece of junk, I don't have a car, it could cost upwards of $5K to fix this and my husband and I are not even speaking. This is as we are driving back to Arizona and i cry 20 years worth of anger and tears out at how screwed up everything is. Between COVID 19, Rioting and Freedom RV... just stay home and save your heart and money. read more

Where to begin? This is the most service oriented service department we have ever encountered. To name a few names who have gone above and beyond the call of duty for us: Brad, Stephanie, Cesar, Eric. Our story is long and painful but the end result was wonderful thanks to this great team. Nice to have a response even if totally off the mark as to what went wrong with our RV and frankly, should have been noticed at the time of our visit to Freedom. The electrical outlet to the television on RV's is ignition interlocked, if you can call it that. At any rate, when the Ford is running, there is a 12 volt charge to the outlet which "locks" it out from using the 110 volt from the generator or shore power, thereby requiring the use of the inverter. The failure of that outlet turned out to be the core problem, not the batteries or the inverter. When that and a circuit breaker were replaced, lo and behold, no more problems. We did the work ourselves after Apache RV Customs in LV diagnosed the problem. I try to learn from my mistakes, so it is more likely that there will be a snowfall in Hell before I return to Freedom. read more

He was rude to us when we tried to specify what we wanted and said "I'll show what I've got, that's it." We were out of there within 10 minutes and won't go back!! We had been looking for the perfect RV for over a year. We finally found it at Feeedom RV. Yet is wasn't not that perfect Dutch Star that prompted the 5 star review. It was the amazing staff, both on the sales floor and in the service department. They walked through every nook and cranny and made sure we knew how to and what for on all the aspects of our new home. They gave us as much time as we needed to make the switch from our old RV. On 12/14/18, a Keystone Sprinter pull trailer was advertised for $24,6998.00, and included in the description was Residential Fridge W/ice maker. We inquired and was told it had an ice maker. It has not. On Dec 20,2018, we received paperwork that states the base price is now $27,698.00, with a cash purchase price of $30,513.08. This included a Doc. Fee of $595.00, and PDI of $500.00, Sales tax of $1,720.078. Why did the cash price go up from $26,998.00, to $27,689.00? Freedom RV delivered this trailer to us on 12/20/18, and gave us the paperwork to sign. Then took us out to see the inside of it. The shower door had a section lying on the shower stall floor, driver tried to put back on but could not, he tried to level it with auto leveling, and it kept saying "Error" so he could not do that either. He left, and took our check for $8,000.00 and left a copy of the paperwork which did not even tell us who was handling the loan. After the driver left, we went into the trailer to look around. We found that there were trim strips loose and dangling from the walls, one upper cabinet has a tear on the paper covering the wood which looks terrible, and other places where this nothing covering bare wood. There are several holes in the couch, and the propane does not work. We have sent pictures of the problems, as well as of the propane regulator which shows that it is not a new one. It has an outlet pipe on each side. They are not a pair. One is about 4 inches longer than the other one. There is a connector on each side, and one hose is different. One fitting is fastened with thread sealer and the other side is installed with plumbers putty, and one fitting has been reduced in size from the other side. This regulator does not work at all it is defective, propane does not stay on, if the heating is on, the stove goes out, but you can smell the propane coming out. It is a safety issue. This unit was supposed to be new, not used. If it has not been used, why have there been changes made to the propane regulator? Why are the walls torn? Why is the couch torn? Why are the trims strips falling off? Why is the shower door falling off? And why is it almost impossible to get the outside door open? It binds. It will not level. We have called FreedomRV and also the Keystone Company (the manufacturer) and have sent them pictures of the problems. They want us to take it to a Keystone approved repair shop to get repairs done. This is a 200 mile round trip for us, and since we had planned to put this unit in a park, we do not want to have to pay to take it to have repairs made when it is supposed to be new and unused. Keystone told us that we could have a non approved company look at it, as they admit that it cannot be safe as is. They want us to pay for the repairs and will r eimburse for a portion of it. This is unacceptible to us. This is supposed to be new. Repaired couch will never be new, nor will the other problems that it has. Neither Keystone or Freedom RV will help us. They will not take it back even though it was supposed to be new, but is used. We want everyone to see how frustrating it is to try to deal with a company that does nothing to fix problems that existed when they delivered it. DO NOT BUY ANY KEYSTONE PRODUCT, AND DO. NOT BUY FROM FREEDOM RV! YOU WILL BE SORELY DISAPPOINTED AND REPAIR WILL COST YOU MONEY. THEY DO NOT TAKE ANY RESPONSIBILITY. read more

Had nothing but bad experiences with Freedom RV from financing lies to the 120 point inspection they supposedly do when you buy an RV. First time we took it out, 2 of the 3 appliances did not work on gas, engine light came on, and the service department will not help because only their "qualified" people can work on them. That doesn't do much good when your camping in the snow covered mountains at 20 degrees and the heater won't work. They do not accept motorhomes for repairs on weekends so plan on taking time off work to check it in, and when financing they will always give you a good deal... then make you re-sign after they give you the keys for a month with a worse rate. I agree with a previous review that I would give Freedom RV zero stars if I could. We've been in on two different occasions with the intention of buying a toy hauler. A salesman led us to the one I had in mind and then stood impatiently 30 yards away. We didn't love it so I asked if we could see some of the new models they had on the lot. He walked us over to the new models and again stood some distance away. He was unable to answer any of our questions, including the asking price! Once the salesman realized we probably weren't going to buy one on the lot, he literally walked away and back into the office without a word. He looked like a pouting kid. They have a good selection of new and used Rv's. As far as sales personnel and finance department. They are no different than most dealers. They will tell you anything for a sale. Be very careful when purchasing an Rv from them. Just like all dealers once you give them a check. They could careless, make sure you do a complete walk though. Before you sign anything and agree on all repairs. The service department is terrible, they changed $300 to run air line on a used coach. That the previous owner already had installed. Changed $520 for maybe an hours work to install a macerated pump. That I supplied with everything to install it. But this is what concerns us, I have been carrying a 22 cal. Pistol for over ten years and never had a problem. After the not good work was done and we were down the road. We discovered the firearm was missing. In my mind this tells me that they are not a reputable business. We are reporting this incident to the police. If we would have known how bad they are we would have not done business with them. read more

It is my perception there were many surprises at Freedom RV. I asked for copies of the documents by phone at I10 lot. He said the paperwork was at the Irvington lot. I asked him to call, to have them ready to pick up, he did not. This lot did not know about a give away of something in Colorado. I asked the unit be connected to city water to check for leaks, it was not. In the morning of the day to process the closing I received an email stating I needed to provide the plate, registry, and title to the trade in vehicle. Previously, no one told me this. The unit was to be sold AS-IS, making the manufacturer responsible for any repairs. Aaron was very knowledgeable about the unit, He quickly replaced a missing part. I was finishing up the purchase when the owner came into the office. The owner appeared to be angry when I spoke to two people who coming in the door. I told them about the surprises. He tried to profile me like a FBI Behavioral Analyst. He DID rescind the deal and returned my $5000. deposit. Caveat emptor. Freedom RV did agree to make changes and additions to the unit at their cost. read more

We were having slide problems with our Newmar coach. Service Advisor Dusty was able to get us in for service in only a couple of days and get the problem addressed in a couple of hours. Through no fault of Freedom's, the issue re-occurred a week later, a few days before we were scheduled to leave. Dusty was able to get us into the shop and have the issued addressed the same day we contacted Freedom. Dusty was very friendly and helpful get our problem addressed and getting us back on the road. read more

Recently my mom, who is in her mid 70s, purchased a second Coach from this company. It was an even better experience than the first time she and my dad bought here! We worked with a great salesman, Eric Linsalata, who listened to what we were looking for, was kind, thoughtful, and funny. He made my mom feel very secure about driving a huge rig! He even helped me transfer our items into the new coach. James, the GM, came in on a Sunday to work with us and Keith H. worked really hard in a very short time to get an appealing financing package going. Then everybody worked together so that Mom and I could spend one precious night in the new coach before it went into storage and we returned to Washington. Buyer beware. If you are buying something from them used, be sure to go over it with a fine tooth comb. The sold me a camper with a blown water heater and want me to pay to fix it. They didnt even want to repair a tear in the tent on it until I told them it was a deal breaker. My husband and I were in Arizona shopping for a new RV. This dealership carries a brand we were interested in so we stopped in. This is by FAR the worst experience we've ever had with an RV Dealership. You walk in, the entire team is just sitting there and they barely even look up. They look miserable and the experience was not much different. We were escorted by what I assume was an RV Sales person, don't know his name because he never bothered to introduce himself. Dropped us at the RV we wanted to see and just sat in the golf cart. He could not have been any less interested in helping us. Never asked any questions, explained anything about the coaches, just waited looking bored in his golf cart. Too bad for them. We are serious buyers with cash and were ready to purchase THAT DAY. Stay far away from this place. The owner of this place needs to clean house if he/she ever expects to sell a motor home. read more

Watch out for this dealership. Sales person was approachable until the sale was final. Don't get sucked into their friendly personality. It's only a facade. They really don't care about making the customer happy. Do not buy a used rv from them. They could not take 5 minutes and a tube of sealent to seal a crack on the old sealent before selling it. Rained two days later and a leak was obvious. Now ther is delamination in the fiberglass. Beware if the weather is overcast and they have it 'hooked up' under the covered area. My husband and I are on a road trip with our new Motor home and while in Quartzite were caught in a thunderstorm. The next morning we had water leaking from our A/C unit, and were referred to Freedom RV by the Manufacturer. They were able to get us in for service the day after arriving in Tucson. Dusty our Service Advisor was very friendly and efficient in helping us identify our issues. Our Technician Jeremy was very knowledgeable and not only found and repaired the leak in our A/C, but completed the warranty issues we have been unsuccessfully trying to have completed at the Dealer we purchased our Motor home from in March. All of this was done in less than a day. The service Manager Brad, along with Dusty and Jeremy took all the time needed to answer all of our questions and provided the best customer service we've ever experienced in all the many years we've owned RV's.
