Just leased a 2026 GMC Sierra. The entire process from start to finish was extremely easy and pleasant.

My engine light on my 2026 GMC Canyon came on March 26, 2026 with only 879 miles. It was a Front Bumper shutter replacement. Completed on April 23, 2026. Couldn't understand why so long. Was told body shop was backed up. When repairing the shutter replacement, the body shop broke the front left headlamp fascia bezel. Took forever to have part ordered and delivered. Part finally came in and damaged part was sent to paint shop but was painted the incorrect color. Picked up truck on August 6, 2026. Almost 90 days. Very disappointed with service. read more

I had my Buick Enclave in for service, and after repairs, the sound was still there. I returned the vehicle, and they stated that I just needed to drive it for another 100 miles, and it would be fine. I explained to them that they needed to take another look under the hood. After they put it on the lift, it turns out that the supposed part they repaired needed to be replaced again??? I spent 20-plus years in the car business, and I know for a fact that they just did a spackle job and did not replace the part that they stated was replaced the first time. I will never take either one of my Buicks to this dealership again. read more

Sales rep was great to work with- nice guy. Sales manager screwed over the deal that the rep worked hard to get. Was told 60,000 at 2.9% was a done deal- came in and they decided go back on that and attempt to charge $1,900 more after 60,000 was set out the door price. Cost was not the issue- the fact that they went back on what they said was done is the issue. Would not trust what they say here. Again- sales rep I worked with was a good guy- sucks they couldn't honor their commitment. read more

It's upsetting to write this bc I've been giving my money to Freeman for over 8 years and have purchased multiple cars from them. Sadly my tech left to grow his career else where. I had my Cadillac serviced Tuesday June 24 with Edgar. I asked him repeatedly if the back up camera was working properly. He said he would check it one more time and let me know. He never let me know. I had to call him and follow up. When I got home from travels of course the camera wasn't working properly as I asked. I called Edgar June 27, left a voicemail telling him the vehicle wasn't fixed and he needed to call me back. It's now July 1 with no call back. Lucky I called my old tech at his new location and he fixed me right up! Unbelievable Freeman GMC. Losing long term customers after I just spent 300$ on a battery I prb didn't need. read more

Vehicle was making noise while turning. They changed the airbag for $1000. Immediately noticed it was not fixed. Brought it back in and they flushed and filled the rear differential, for additional $600. Fixed it! Asked for a refund or at least split the $1000 mistake. Was told by Wray the service manager it was my fault the airbag was changed. Don't go there, I will never do business there again. Not a trustworthy business. read more

I'm sure they don't even care and will leave a generic comment like "thanks for letting us know".... But maybe this will hopefully deter someone from going here. I bought a new truck here, and within a few months, I had a squeak in the gas pedal. I mentioned it during the first service and was told to make an appointment for another day. Fast forward to my appointment... they had the car for over 2 days, and upon calling them they said they "can't replicate the issue". I showed them a video of it and everything. They don't care. Now day 3/4 I will get a car back that was untouched, and I will get to continue to hear the squeaking forever. Don't do business here. read more

This is the second truck I've purchased from Freeman Buick GMC, this time a top-of-the-line Sierra HD Denali Ultimate, and after this experience, it will be my last. I brought the truck in on Monday for an unforeseen issue that is fully covered under warranty, completely unplanned and not caused by me, and I've now been without it for nearly a week. Despite repeatedly asking, I've been consistently told I'm on a "waitlist" for a loaner vehicle, as if I should have anticipated and scheduled a breakdown. The dealership has no options for me to get a vehicle, which has left me completely stranded. As someone that depends on a vehicle for work, I am extremely frustrated. What's worse is the tone I've received, not understanding or helpful, but dismissive and scolding, as if asking for basic transportation while my vehicle is in the shop is unreasonable. Communication has also been extremely limited. I've had to reach out multiple times just to get updates. As a repeat customer, I expected better. Clearly, that loyalty doesn't mean much here. After venting my frustrations to my neighbors, they told me this is exactly why they prefer to drive to Plano to service their GMC trucks, because they're treated better. After this, I will too. Freeman Buick GMC has made it clear that customer service is not a priority, even for those who shell out top dollar for their flagship vehicles and return time and again. Damage to people's vehicles while at a dealer can sometimes happen that's understood, but taking no accountability or providing no solution to your customers who spend thousands of dollars is unacceptable. I LOVE my vehicle, but that is because it is a GMC- with no thanks to Freeman. Having simple service (all under warranty) has been nothing short of miserable. My first oil change was accompanied with a few warranty issues. It doesn't matter if you buy the most expensive car on the lot- they don't offer a loaner car, ride, etc. so after waiting for months for the part to come in I then had to schedule service for a time when I could be without a vehicle for days. When I was finally able to pick it up, they had not addressed all issues, so we had to leave the vehicle again. Round 2 of oil change and warranty service now and what I was told would be a 2 hour appointment is being quoted 2 days at drop off. I was finally informed that there is a 36 person wait list for a loaner, which I can be added to. Freeman service department is poorly managed. They do not have the skill or service men to carry the load, and do not have the loaner capacity to support their customers. I will 1,000% take my business elsewhere with my next vehicle purchase. I encourage others to do their research on service transparency before making a purchase, as I wish I had done. read more

DONT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKES I'VE MADE...Think twice before buying GMC or from FREEMAN GMC GRAPEVINE. I'm not one to write reviews but wanted to share this frustrating experience so hopefully someone else will think twice and hopefully avoid the frustration that I have been dealing with. Of course, the buying process was fine and easy. At the time I wanted the truck and didn't haggle much so it was an easy sale for Freeman. My post sale experience has been miserable, frustrating, and time consuming. The day I purchased my truck approx. 2 months and 3,500 miles ago I started to experience an issue with the Infotainment system. It took multiple tries to get that corrected and I had to make at least 2 trips to the dealership. I was recently at the dealership another 3 times in a week, because my infotainment center completely died. I have had appointments twice that I took time off work for only to be told they can't get me in, and I need to come back (Maybe a clear indicator of GMC issues when the service department is so busy). There have been other minor issues with the truck (random warning pop ups, tail gate randomly opening (fixed on one visit), hood wouldn't latch shut, USB chargers quit working, etc.) I am also owed some accessories that were negotiated as part of the deal, and I can't get any follow up or communication about those from the sales team (some items were delivered weeks later after my continuous follow ups). I have had to constantly keep track and have made multiple calls, texts, and left VMs that go unreturned. The couple times I have talked with someone, they say they will follow up, but I never hear back. One of the accessories is backordered and has been for months (I was told this and agreed to wait a little bit). After additional research and learning this product has a high failure rate and realizing the extensive lead time, I requested an alternate for something to replace it so I could be done dealing with FREEMAN GMC and was told that's not a problem and install would be coordinated with my next repair visit. To no surprise, I show up to have my faulty radio replaced and the service advisor has not heard anything about this, so it wasn't completed on this visit. Now I'll need to follow up and come back again. I have made at least 5 trips to the dealership dealing with these issues since I've purchased this brand new $75K dollar truck and will still have at least one more to go. I'm beginning to doubt I'll ever get what's owed to me and have been ripped off. Being a loyal GMC customer, I have lost confidence in their product and feel like I've made a mistake buying this truck and bringing my business to Freeman GMC Grapevine. Two mistakes I won't make again. Brett in service has showed some sympathy to the situation and has communicated well (which is greatly appreciated), however it's still taken 3 trips over the last week to deal with the current issue. Because of the initial issues, I've done much more research and found that there are several more major GMC issues that I'll likely deal with in the future. read more

We contacted Freeman Buick GMC in June 2024 to sell a 2007 Pontiac G5 that had been purchased there in the early 2010s. They were initially receptive, but as soon as the vehicle was delivered onto their property they became uncooperative. Their mechanic refused to honor the offer made at the Kelley Blue Book site, and also refused to describe the issue behind this reasoning beyond "the appearance looks bad". Since the initial offer was made -after- providing photographs of the vehicle's interior and exterior to KBB, we had some trouble accepting this. In the end, we were forced to donate the vehicle to avoid accruing storage fees. It was almost like Freeman only wanted to do business if they got a car sale out of it - which KBB directly contradicts when it says "It doesn't matter if you are buying or not". Took my truck in there for oil service that of course included all the basic services like tire rotation ect , My tire pressure was extremely off , Window washer fluid was half out And they didn't put the oil cap back on. Since is the Gmc dialership I thought it was gonna be something different but is the same if you do it at any local lube shop. read more

No problems with service on vehicle, only the service advisor who was assigned to my vehicle. He tried to tell me my lease agreement wasn't valid but I was still well under the agreed upon mileage for service contract. Called my buddy at Ewing Buick GMC and he said the advisor was just being lazy because it's a long process and phone call to get lease maintenance info just for oil change. So, don't be afraid to ask questions or push the issue if you have a lease agreement. read more

Took my 2016 Acadia in for a recall repair. After waiting briefly to check in the service man indicated my car wouldn't start right away so they recommended checking the battery. I was then told the battery was almost shot and it would be $230+ to replace. I decided to wait and took my car somewhere else to have it tested and the battery was perfectly fine. Mike Dumas did a great job working with me on a beautiful pre-owned 2019 Tahoe. I had enjoyed it for just a week when it developed a significant issue that they could not have possibly predicted. Without going into the specific details, I will say that Mike and his team went ABOVE and BEYOND to remedy the issue (at what I expect was a considerable expense), took care of me quicker than promised in a way that was BY FAR the most convenient for me and charged me nothing. On top of that, they never asked for a review (most dealers today won't lift a finger without pushing for a great review... Mike never brought it up, proving the sincerity of their service.) I would specifically recommend friends and family to Christi for their vehicle buying needs. While I found everyone to be pleasant, Christi was the game changer. I have been looking for a vehicle for 2 years and the minute I started to feel like I was being pressured into settling for a vehicle, I would cut the conversation short and leave. Christi did not do that. In fact, we came to Freeman twice that day. I wasn't ready to purchase that day and I still wanted to explore Tahoes at a cheaper price point, so Christi gave us her contact information and invited us back while also cautioning us that the Yukons tend to go quickly. We went to another dealership to look at a Tahoe, went bowling, had a beer and came back to Freeman, Christi saw us coming and greeted us in the showroom. She did show me another vehicle when I expressed that I still wasn't sure I needed all the bells and whistles, but we ultimately went back for the AT4. Christi listened to us, went with the flow and we genuinely enjoyed our car buying experience. She also has a great personality and my husband and I loved visiting with her while we did the paper work. I didn't catch the gentleman's name, but he was the finance manager and we really like talking with him as well. Just lost my business. I have been bringing my 2013 GMC Terrain here for the past 9 years for maintenance and repair, because of their consistent promptness and reasonable prices. However, not anymore. Today I came in for my regular scheduled oil change. When billed, the price had jumped to $96.00! from my last oil change in 1/24, which was $55.00; a 75% increase in 4 months! What a bunch of greedy sharks. Not only that, 1 month ago I came in for an air conditioning freon recharge. They gave me an estimate for $3,000 for a new condenser coil. I refused, then took it to a neighborhood garage, got a freon recharge for $129, problem solved. Freeman just lost my business. Do not go here, nice dealer but back shop is a is a fine example of corporate greed. read more

I took my car in to be serviced without an appointment for an oil change and they had me out in less then an hour. They wash your car as part of the service which is a plus. They always go over exactly what was done and then any additional things that might be needed. For me it was windshield wipers. read more

Our buying experience was great but the service department was a different story. We went and took our 23 Denali Sierra in for the first oil change and didn't have a pleasant experience as we have at other dealerships like Cadillac or Mercedes. When they came and got us to let us know the truck was ready, we noticed they did a subpar job at vacuuming and didn't complementary wash the vehicle. We sat long enough to notice that the car pulling up behind us was washed, so my husband went and asked if they do those complementary? The guy responded "Oh you want to get the truck washed?" The guy was friendly but when he brought the truck back in the bay to get dried off, it seems like the other workers had no intention of helping. They seemed kind of annoyed. Also we have advertising magnets, we understand if they need to be removed, but to put them back on the truck very sloppy and in a different place then where you took them off was unprofessional. read more

Mullet Mania!!! Fred S helped my wife get the car she's wanted for years. Fred is extremely knowledgeable on every vehicle on that lot. He knew every button, feature, gadget, and it's function on our car. The dealership is very laid back and had no pressure on anything. Our finance guy Pat was one of the best I've ever worked with. Every detail was explained and he took time to make sure my wife was happy. This is not a McDonalds dealership this is how business and car buying should be done with proper service. Purchased new 2024 Acadia Denali. After 2 months and 2700 miles, started making awful rubbing sound in front end. Took in for service and was told it was faulty spring and parts would have to be ordered from Factory. Apparently not true. Undriveable and noise got worse when it was driven. No estimate for parts arrival. Refused to provide loaner car or any kind of assistance. No concern for me having a brand new vehicle I couldn't drive. Service suggested I contact my salesman who never returned my calls or emails. Only response was from a different salesman who wanted to sell me another vehicle. Obviously never read my emails. After many back and forths, no urgency, lack of information, lame excuses, blame on shipping, blame on parts supplier, etc. I was told parts arrived on Sept. 13. Vehicle repaired on Sept. 16. 25 days being left without a vehicle, no one reached out to offer any help or apologies, or explanation. Ordered a Denali Ultimate 2500 that took 4 months to arrive. When it did they made completely disrespectful trade in offers on two vehicles presented. The truck I ordered is currently selling for 10k over MSRP so I believe the offers made were not in good faith. They were only an attempt to get me to walk so they could sell my truck for more. This would have been their second 100k car sale to me this year but I'll never be back. Not the way you do business especially with returning customers. read more
