I was recently shopping for a new truck and was referred to Dee Ann Potendyk at James Wood Cadillac in Denton, Tx. Although I did not ultimately buy a vehicle from James Wood, Dee Ann was a consumate professional showing me the 2025 GMC Sierra 1500 vehicles in her inventory that I was interest in and working to get me the best a deal with the most discounts I could receive . Unfortunately the finance rate availble through GMC was what killed the deal. Next timne Im in the market for a new vehicle I will definitely use Dee Ann again and recommend that anyone shopping for a new Chevrolet/GMC/Cadillasc go see Dee ANn. read more

I purchased a car from out of state and they were very helpful they sent me pictures and we finalize on a deal. They gave me the best rate better than my personal bank. When we arrives the car was being pulled out freshly cleaned and ready for a test drive they handed me the keys soon as I got out the car top notch service. When we came back all we had to do was sign paperwork and show proof of insurance. They were very informative, professional, and quick because they knew we had a long drive ahead. After leaving a review on CarFax for disappointing service at James Wood Cadillac, they saw it and sent me a message through CarFax that they would like to hear from me about my experience. I called the number, told them why I was calling, was put on hold for a while and was then told that all of the managers were either at lunch (at 2 pm) or busy. I have bought two Cadillacs there and loved taking my cars there for service over the last 7-8 years. I am in the market for another Cadillac but this dealership lost me. Horrific experience! They did not fix our vehicle. We are having to take it to a second body shop and seek stop payment for work not done. Our vehicle was there for almost a month. Little to no communication from anyone. I would recommend recording yourself or having everything in writing as they will tell you one thing and do another. After we could not get any communication from our advisor, Thomas, we went in person only to get lied to our faces about pricing. The body shop manager, John, was no better. He also lied and refused to fix ANY of the poor work that they did do. We could not get any communication unless we contacted the Denton location general manager, Russ. After refusing our still damaged vehicle, John decided to have the police called because he did not want to fix it or honor their warranty that we have in writing. During this period he attempted to back into us with the car. After recording this to protect ourselves he told the police that we "tried to get physical". Not only will he lie to customers but apparently the law as well. After trying to have the situation rectified with Russ, he refused to help us as he "believed his team". We did inform him that we had the whole situation video recorded and he still did not care about any of the information given to him. read more

I called the Cadillac service department and told them the satellite radio in my new Cadillac would stop playing for no reason and the service writer told me that was normal. I asked why doesn't your dealership tell customers that before they purchase? If I had known that I would of never purchased the car. So they the back pedaling started and I was told to bring the car in. They have me the same exact car I purchased as a loaner. While driving it the satellite radio played and never once stopped playing. I went back to James Woods in Denton and was given a piece of paper that was some kind of bulletin from General Motors that was a copy of a copy of a copy. I couldn't even read it. The service writer told me that was why my radio failed to continue to play at times even though the loan car didn't have that issue. Then I went back for some more warranty work and they loaned me another new Cadillac and the satellite radio in it played without an issue too. But James Woods Cadillac continues to say that is normal. And when I spoke to the service manager he said it had to do with T-Mobile cell towers infearing with the satellite signals. If that is true why doesn't their loan cars do that? I called Mr. Woods himself and all I got were excuses. It starts at the top and you can tell no one cares at James Woods Autoplex. But the poor service and excuses continue and I will not be using James Woods dealerships anymore. read more

James Woods never ceases to amaze me with Customer Service. If other companies could only learn from James Woods, they would be better off . Having recently visited another Cadillac dealer near my home for service, I was totally turned off from their lack of customer service and attitude. I decided to make the drive to Denton about one hour away to service my SRX. Both Courtney and Cadillac Doug took excellent care of me and my vehicle. To my total surprise, some of the work was all covered by GM warranty which the other dealer never told me this. I will only use James Wood for service and new car purchase. Bought a vehicle from them in April of 2016 and within two weeks had issues with spiders in the vehicle. For months no one wanted to help me until I contacted Cadillac/GM corporate and they finally had the dealership check for spiders and fumigate my car around November. Conveniently enough, they didn't find anything. Now come February and the warm weather, the spiders are again coming out of hiding from the engine I assume. The dealership contacted me just to tell me they don't know what to do for me. Extremely unhelpful in all aspects after buying your vehicle from them. read more

I brought my brand-new 3500 DRW in for a bedside replacement associated paint work and a bed cover install. The entire side of the truck is swirled from bad buffing, not to mention three areas on the bedside that are scratched- looks like someone's belt buckle. Now I have the pleasure of taking the truck back again. For the third time in a month. Also the bedcover installed, a roll n lock retractable unit will not stay closed. I could close it in my driveway and go a mile down the road and it's opened up. Now it's fallen off the track completely. This is my second roll n lock, I had one on my last truck and never had an issue. My sales experience was great at james wood Denton but my service experience has been horrible. I will get these items fixed and find another dealership to continue my service through the ownership experience. read more

Service department is the worst! Tried using their service department a few years ago and made an appointment. Got there and was told oh we don't honor appointments. Great, then don't take them. Fast forward to now, brand new Chevrolet truck and the entire screen goes out that controls the radio, navigation, back up camera, hands free calling and more. Told it would take two hours to repair them told it needs a new part. Well that was a week ago, had to drive over and find out where the part was only to be told it's on back order. Why they couldn't call and tell us is beyond me. So we will continue to drive this thing for who knows how long with features we specifically looked for on a truck not working and no idea if they will ever be repaired! I dropped my car off in July because my AC was not blowing cold air and 6 hours later I picked my car up air was blowing nice and cold Now 30 days later air blowing hot again I stopped by the dealership today to let them know that my air was blowing hot again and the service manger Mike told me that I have to pay them to fix the problem and I told him I paid you guys 30 days ago to fix my air and he said no I paid them 30 days ago to drop dye in my car and put Freon in it. Wow what a slap in the face I paid u guys a total of 218.00 for Freon and now I have to pay u guys again to fix something I thought I have already paid for. I was there about 30 - 45 minutes wanting to look at Cadillac's and no one asked if they could help me. Two or three sales persons said "hi" but no one ask "Can I help you". I began to make it a game just to see how long it would take someone to ask if the could help me. I would go outside and look through the windows on several cars and watch for a sales person to come then go back inside to the showroom. I did this about four times. Finally one sales person said "I am assuming you are waiting on a car in the shop", I said no "I am wanting to look at Cadillac's but no one has offered to help me". I said normally sales persons are all over you when you start to look but that was not the case by a long shot. I did buy an ATS that day. read more

I have had my Cadillac XT5 for 6 months. In that time, we have been in service 4 times. Most recently for a routine oil change. My car was damaged in the process and the service check light came on the day after I received my vehicle back! Once again a trip back to Service and was told the vehicle would be repaired in a day. Two days later and no communication from anyone, I called only to find out my vehicle wouldn't be ready until Monday! Guess what it hailed last night. Now my vehicle is worse than when I brought it in and no ownership on James Woods Service department. Basically, it is now my problem. I had a great sales experience, but the Service Department has been the worst. The Service Department is seriously lacking in customer service, they are not friendly and there is no follow-up. We have bought vehicles from James Woods before and had excellent service on the Chevrolet side. What a disappointment when you buy a luxury car to have the experience ruined. read more

What a wonderful experience dealing with Phillip Hairston.We communicated several times by email and text. Phillip was aware I was looking between 2 brands and several dealers closer to my house. Phillip kept in constant communication with what he had in stock. While at another dealership I received a text from Phillip. I know your visiting several dealers before you come to James Wood let me know if I can answer any questions. I had several questions He answered. He had the same model and color that I was looking at. We decided to visit Phillip and was in and out in 3 hours. We agreed on a price in less that 10 min. There was no pressure to upgrade. Phillip was so personal we spent most of the time chatting about towns we've visited and restaurants in Texas while waiting on the car to be detailed and inspected.Only negative I have was with the finance Manager. I have a credit rating in the 800's. The finance manager said you have excellent credit we got you a 3.39 interest rate. I had already worked with my bank and the going rate is 2.19. I told him he was crazy my bank is offering 2.19. He then looked at the screen and said I can get you 2.39 with Ally. I'm sure he has some kick back if he gets a higher rate. I highly recommend Phillip if you want a fantastic sales person who will get you a fair price. Do your homework on interest rate I cant give 5 stars to the finance manager. read more
