I used to buy super expensive sunglasses and they would inevitably break or I'd lose them so I like these because they fit nice, are stylish, block sun and run about $80. I walked into the store and was immediately helped. I tried on one pair of lens adjusting glasses and he told me to go outside and see how they darken. He was knowledgeable about how and when they darken. He checked into glasses similar to what I had at other stores. In the end I bought a different style from what I had and am happy with my choice. I then walked around the store. They have tons of bikes but also many clothes and accessories. I liked all the Mn themed bike shirts they had available. I'll definitely be back to shop some more. Great experience.

Two weeks ago I had two of my Aventon Aventures in for potential tune-ups. They put them on the rack, checked chain, brakes, etc. & told me one needed service, but the other was in good shape, no tune-up needed. I've always been impressed with Erik's integrity. When my fiance' went to use it this past weekend however, it had no front brake. I thought, "maybe something got loose, or disconnected when they were looking at it?". It's an imperfect world, no big deal. I screwed around with it a bit out on the trail with my fingers (no tools) and got it working, but since I was going back to Erik's to pick up another of my bikes & another rack, I hoped they could just see if something was loose while I was there? Nope. Absolutely not. The woman working at the Eagan location (who I've avoided talking to in the past as much as possible) told me she could only put it into the shop to have that looked at. That'd be weeks, maybe months out. I've spent 10k at Erik's buying five e-bikes, two expensive racks, countless accessories, maintenance, trade-ins, etc. in the past 2-3 years. This woman simply was not going to accommodate me. Period. Instead, I took it to another shop where I'd never spent a penny & they tightened up a couple loose screws for free. I'm not mad that the woman in Eagan shop refused to accommodate me. I'm sure it was policy. But, I'll never purchase anything at Erik's again.

They supposedly worked with Bontrager to replace but I had to keep checking back only to find the claim was not filed the first time around and 2nd time they refused warranty. I called trek myself and they looked up the claim explained the process and said it refunded the purchase price, but since it was a close out they would refund the full price so that I could get a comparable pair of shoes. The store should have been the ones to work with them, not make the customer do that! I have been without shoes now for over 3 weeks in prime riding season. THIS shop does not loom out for customers. All it took was a quick call to trek to sort things out!!! Now they are shipping the correct shoes based on MY CALL to trek. All they needed to do was call..... such a disappointment. Even the trek representative said most of the time a shop will call to fix the problem.

This particular location is closer to work, so I often stop here. I also took a free class for women years ago, specifically on women's specific bikes and parts. This was very helpful and I found the perfect saddle. They had this thing you sat on to see where your bones would rest on the seat. Then they were able to mold a perfect seat, fit for the individual. (this was a few years ago, and might have only been a feature of the company showing women's products). The staff is very helpful and always seem to be working hard fixing a bike or two in the back. If you just looking at getting into biking, stop in here and ask the staff for some guidance. They will likely have some suggestions to assist you in getting started at reasonable prices. They do not have a large selection of jerseys or clothes here. I have never had any success finding a clothes here, but I did buy my shoes, locks, helmet and tools.

My husband and I have never put together a bike, but didn't think it would be too hard. Little did we know it is pretty challenging (not to mention a test to the relationship LOL). With that said, I have these folks a call to see if they would be able to help with bike set up and tuning even though I didn't purchase the bike from them. They were beyond willing to help and I was able to simply drop off and pick up when ready. Price was reasonable and service was excellent and efficient. I also liked how they took everyone's safety into consideration with their COVID precautions. My step son loved his bike and was a great gift, and I felt good that he will be safe riding this thanks to the staffs help and concern to safety. I would recommend all to this shop - the folks are great and extremely skilled at what they do. Thank you all again!

The tape install was good, the derailleur adjustment was below what we have experienced at Flanders, Now, Behind Bars and Recovery. We are new to the area and looking for a bike shop, will try Valley again, but our first go around for service was disappointing. At $149, the parts that were adjusted were not cleaned, the first time we had ever seen that work done while omitting the cleaning. We always shop and support independent shops.
