She had such a bright, sunny attitude that honestly made the whole experience better. She checked on us often, made sure our food was good, and always asked if we needed anything else without being annoying or rushed. You could tell she genuinely cared about her job and her customers. Even though it was busy, she stayed upbeat and patient the entire time. The food came out about 15 minutes after we ordered, which was great. I got the Baja chicken tacos they were super hot and fresh, but not so hot that they hurt your mouth. The total for all our food was surprisingly affordable, which made the experience even better. The Santo Niño tienda and restaurant was very much an exception, though. We only made it there once but should have come here for every restaurant meal we had while in the area. Based on a couple of tortas, this humble family-run spot killed it on the food. Everything was fresh as it could be, and the kitchen does not skimp on the more-expensive ingredients like avocado and meat, or any other ingredient for that matter. These were sizeable sandwiches. Lengua was tender and succulent, and the wife thought the chorizo was great, too. The tortas are served with fries that were better than they looked (which was rather Ore-Ida-ish)--piping hot with some crispiness to them.
