I refinance my house, came here to open an account and everyone there was not busy, but it was very difficult to get help as I had to get someone's attention. I finally was told that I could go online to get more info on the accounts by a man working there. I didn't get his name because he had no name tag. Parking wasn't so great and very difficult to find as most people park there from downtown. I left the bank, very unhappy, and will probably never come back. read more

If I could give more than five stars, I would. Shortly after purchasing my home with a loan from another lender, I realized that I could refinance with a much lower interest rate. My father had positive experiences with Fremont Bank, and after to his surprise that I got an initial loan with another lender (Premier Lending) with a relatively high rate, I reached out to Fremont Bank for a refi (even though I've only had the loan for just two months). My initial correspondence with the refinancing process was with David Carr, and to my surprise, and without my prompting or negotiating, he offered a refinance for lower than their rate as advertised on their own website. I then went through the refi process and and closed with Syhelee Jones, and with my previous home loan and refi experiences, Fremont Bank was by far the smoothest. I sent in documentation one time, and that was it. They took it from there, and there were no back-and-forth with submitting and resubmitting documents and the typical headaches associated with that. I was quite surprised. Then, to my (positive) surprise again, they have attached an extra $200 credit on top of TRUE no closing costs or fees with my refi, again, without my asking. There were no fine-print surprises in terms of fees or their truth-in-lending, so the $200 really was something and meant a lot to me in terms of their honesty and integrity. For sure, I will refer my friends and family to Fremont Bank for their home loan needs. read more

I own 4 homes and all are financed with Fremont Bank. I recently received my annual impound reports for each home. I seem to have misplaced them. I called to have duplicates sent out. The receptionist had me go on line to reprint. I tried but for some unknown reason it wouldn't print right. I asked her to just mail me new copies. She advised me there was a fee to do that but this one time she would waive that fee. I found this unbelievable given my 4 mortgage accounts. While I did manage to get her to mail out the new copies at no cost I felt even mentioning she was doing me a favor by not charging me was not appropriate. I think their customer service needs to be better. read more

Our loan is funded today. Thank you so much to Marlo Deutscher and Patricia Sanchez for working so hard to make this happen. We made a large deposit for a home purchase without a loan contingency to back out in early April. We had 28 days to close the deal. If we don't get a loan, we might lose our deposit. First we applied with Wellsfargo, our current mortgage bank and got rejected right away. We tried another lender and got rejected a few days later. At that point, I got really worried. For some reasons, Fremont bank was not in my radar even though, we have our home line of credit with them. Luckily, I called Fremont Bank and talked to Marlo. She asked for the standard documents which I already have when I prepared for other lenders. She looked over the docs and submitted our papers to their Under Writer. Once the Under Writer gave her the OK, I felt much relieved that our large deposit might be saved and the loan has a good chance to go through. It did after 17 days later.
