We have been banking at Tech CU in Dublin for more than 20 years. We often go to the branch to get multiple transactions completed, especially if they are somewhat complex. The people there are absolutely great and always go the extra mile. Today we were helped by Deepika, who has helped us many times previously. Long ago she recommended putting some of our money into CDs, and that was great advice. We have been doing it ever since and have made quite a bit of extra money with the current interest rates. I really dislike this credit union, but it's too much of a hassle to change my bill pay and automatic deposit to another bank. Issues: Debit cards expire after 2 years and don't have tap-to-pay. Practically anything causes them to freeze your account, including using your card out of town or making an error and having to re- enter your pin. They don't notify you that your account is frozen, though, so you get to be embarrassed the next time you use your card, and it's declined. The app is awful. It's funny that it's called Technology, as it is entirely technologically impaired. read more

I first applied for a car loan online and it sent me to the office in Milpitas. I needed to get some paperwork and headed to my local branch in Dublin. Got what I needed, met up with my seller and filled out all paperwork needed, so I thought. Didn't have a appointment and walked into Dublin branch and was immediately met by Gabrielle to start my paper work. Seems like not all my paperwork was inline, but Gabrielle took the time to rewrite up my papers (I have horrible chicken scratch writing). Made sure to have multiple copies for the seller to sign just in case. Had everything FedX to the seller. Fedx had issues getting it back to office for a few days , but when they did Evelyn and Gabrielle made sure I was notified. I was recommended to Tech CU by one of my colleagues, so even though I had no prior experience with them, I approached them with the auto loan request I had. I was looking to finance from CarMax, and they gave me a good deal, but I wanted to keep my options open and checked with Tech CU. I have been a member of TechCU for more than a decade now. And if I can use any of their services to make life easier for me, I do. Unfortunately, the recent experience with their Tech Car Shopper service put a bit of a damper to my satisfaction as long time member. When I reached out for help in shopping for my next vehicle, I felt like my inquiry was not taken seriously. The only response I received was whenever the person assigned to my inquiry responds to my email...there were no follow-ups. The Tech guy said he could not find a good deal for me...but when I decided to check thru my local dealerships, I found one that offered me $1500 in rebate + $500 less than window sticker price. Fortunately, this experience that had the potential to discourage me in continuing to be a part of TechCU was redeemed big time by two wonderful ladies in the Loan Department, Analyn Tayo and Deepika Khandelwal. Deepika made processing/approving my loan application seamless and when I reached out to her for help when I had issues picking up my car from the dealership, she was on it. With the help of Analyn, who made sure my pre-approved loan was recognized by the dealership, I was able to complete the purchase process of my car and finally take it home. These two ladies are awesome...I give them major kudos!! They both went above and beyond in helping me...my latest car purchase experience could have been worse if not for these two ladies. If you are looking for a Home Equity Line of Credit (HELOC), go see Evelyn Kaneshige, Sr. Relationship Banker at Technology Credit Union in Dublin. Her service and communication throughout the process has been exceptional. In July 2021, my wife and I went to Tech CU for a HELOC as my HELOC with Patelco was about to expire after 10 years. We met with Evelyn in the Dublin branch and she walked us through the process, what documentation was needed as well as the overall timelines. She set our expectations that the overall process was going to take about 3 months given the backlog with the underwriters as well as the appraisal process. When we got home, we provided the documents that she needed. They have a secure email server for uploading of confidential documents so that your information is secure. The next step was the appraisal of our home which was quick and easy. The final step was the underwriting once the appraisal came in. During this time, Evelyn kept us updated which we appreciated. On October 2, we signed the documents and our HELOC was executed and completed. It was approximately 3 months from start to finish...the timing that Evelyn provided at the start of the process.
