A great local feeling coffee shop with some tasty brew. The atmosphere is very homey and lends to sitting the day away inside. However, on a warm day, it was a bit stuffy and crowded inside but the front porch was just perfect with some iced coffee. The coffee was a tad bitter, maybe from getting used to aero press at all the other places nearby, but overall tasty and refreshing. Service was quick and friendly and pieces were good. Charged me $6 for a cappuccino (listed as $3-4 on the menu) and the mug wasn't even full. It's a cool spot and the ambiance is pleasant, but I felt scammed, and there's a stone's throw of coffee shops in the vicinity that won't try to rip you off. read more

The coffee is good but I've decided that I have had enough of places that have a debit card minimum. The % you are paying as a business is not different if the total is more or less than $3.00. Placing a surcharge on a customer is not the way to get a repeat customer. read more

Yet another great coffee place in Seattle. The place itself is adorable, with comfy chairs inside for rainy days and an open-air porch with plenty of seating for sunny days. The espresso is great as well, as are the pre-made sandwiches. Great service and wifi too! read more

So I came here expecting some latte art as I only picked this place as a tourist because of another website's advertisement of places to try that "always" have unique latte art and this was in the number 3 or 4 spot and close to me. However, I Didn't get any latte art on my visit. Bummer. What'evs, it won't ruin my day. Moreover, The Barista seemed, in my own opinion, quite saturnine and disobliging but managed to have a continuous flow of visitors. Fremont Coffee is by far the best coffee shop in Fremont! Set in a converted house on 35th st (across the street from the dreadful Ballroom), they serve up Lighthouse espresso andassorted teas. Also served is the usual smattering of pastries, a small lunch menu, and unique sodas from the soda bottling company downstairs. The baristas are as talented as they are friendly (and they're also hipper than you are). Free wi-fi and a large patio that gets plenty of sun on those rare sunny days. read more

Everything is great unless you don't like dark roasted coffee. Staff is always nice, wifi works well, the place is always clean, but unfortunately the coffee suffers from being over roasted if you ask me. I've only had the regular and haven't dared to touch the french roast. read more

I go here pretty often and chill in a quiet corner with a book and an Americano. The coffee is decent, and I really like the vibe--a bunch of different rooms (don't forget the tiny quirky room in the back that you can only enter from the deck) in an old house. Not to mention the outdoor seating is vast and peaceful. read more

I'm a newbie to Seattle and good coffee but stopped here waiting on my car to be done and it is FANTASTIC! I got the mocha coffee, puts the Starbucks shit to shame. I've been missing A Muddy Cup since I moved to Fremont; I love houses converted into coffee shops. This one is, honestly, even better. I concentrate best with some background noise, but without a ton going on visually, and the multiple little rooms and tucked away tables make this perfect. The music is a great volume, and the iced caramel latte I got was great. Love the art on the walls, the mixed chairs, and the baristas were both super friendly. Plus there was a super cute puppy on the porch staring in at the baristas, which makes this even better. read more

I work ln fremont not too far away and was asking people for a good coffee shop. I got recommend Fremont Coffee by a few. When I went in there the batista(s) were too busy talking to one another and counting their tips to even acknowledge I was there. Finally one asked me what I wanted. The coffee was very good, I got an iced mocha and they do not over use the chocolate, you can still taste the coffee. I decided to try it 2 more times, one time I got a similar experience, and the other time the lady was very nice and even made basic conversation. Basically I found out it depends what day, but also working in a similar environment, I don't think I'll take the chance. read more

The perfect place to sit and work or relax on a sunny afternoon. They have a beautiful amount of windows and a gorgeous outside sitting area. I was shocked that it was quiet, although people were coming in and out regularly to order drinks. I have been unemployed for over six months, know very few people in Seattle, and was recently reminded that looking for a job is a drag. For a slacker like me, Fremont Coffee House is the perfect place to kill hours and hours of otherwise productive time. I sit in front of my laptop at any one of the twenty tables and feel like I am in the old, drafty, hardwood-floored Cleveland Heights home of my Aunt Paula and Uncle Terry. Rotating artists hang work on the colorful walls and the kitchen whips up sandwiches served with a pickle. Lots of windows, lots of options, a large outdoor patio for smoking or freezing, reliable wireless, and a quality Americano made with locally-roasted Lighthouse beans make me wish I lived next door and not five miles away. read more

I so wanted to like this place. I had some good coffee there periodically and I love the atmosphere but when I started going in the mornings I was disappointed. I gave them lots of chances. My coffee was sometimes good, more often not. I usually get a soy cappuccino and the barirsta told me that order is hard to do (but they do it other places just fine). The croissants were good one day, greasy the next. The staff wasn't horrible but certainly not overly friendly. The final straw, they sold me a muffin with nuts after I asked and told them I was allergic to nuts. read more

Great vibe in this little place. On my way to the Freemont Sunday market, I discovered this cafe, and I was very happy with its ambiance and with the friendly staff. The latte had the typical Seattlite designs which make me happy, and the drip coffee was delicious (I got the Shaking Bones flavor). Came back for my refill and chilled for a while.
