Avoid this place at all cost. They'll find ways to fail you. After failing you, they promise to retest for free. They still charge you for the retest. They failed my car due to their stupidity. This year I got a DMV registration renewal with a "You need to go to Star Smog station" notification. Very stressful indeed although my car is in tip-top shape. I picked Fremont Smot Test Only because it was the closest and recommended by oil--change guys here in Fremont. I have to agree with the majority of the reviews that gave 5 stars to this place. The young fellow technician, Danny, was very courteous and professional in getting my car inspected. One thing he explained to me is that many (especially young) folks try to pull a fast one and remove different sensors from cars in order to pass. This is the major reason for cars to fail the test. Anyway, I am glad I did pick this place and highly recommend it. I don't like to write reviews, but I believe that in order for consumers to be protected people need to share the experience in places like Yelp.
