Super professional and efficient! I haven't needed to smog my car in over a decade, and the shop made everything so easy. The waiting area is clean and stocked with magazines and water, and the owner is very helpful and friendly. Gagan Smog and Check test station is the best shop in the area. I came to this shop for only smog because I had recently bought a used car and when he told me that he could also provide me with DMV services, I couldn't believe it, I was shocked because I had never seen a smog station that can also provide you with DMV SERVICES. And since I needed tags right away, GAGAN took care of business which was great. And on top of that, he is always with a great attitude. I can confidently recommend this place for a smog check. I have been a returning customer because of the owner's professionalism. He is also ethical and the cost is reasonable. Although there's a comfortable waiting area, the owner does his best to get you in and out in a timely manner. Great experience at Gagan Smog Station. My car had battery replaced recently and wasn't showing all the readings needed for the smog. The owner was nice enough to check the car's readiness for smog test multiple times and advise on how to address it. Once car was ready the actual smog test was simple, quick, and hassle-free. Finally, the fact that they are open on weekend is a huge help! Highly recommend. read more

I was repeatedly informed by "Fremont quick smog" that the completed smog check passed and will be automatically transmitted to the DMV. This year, 2025, DMV is requesting yet another smog check. I called DMV seven times today and spoke to 4 individuals (with 3 calls dropped). The 3rd individual said "uhh no you did your smog in 2023 and your vehicle requires a smog check every 3 years." I drive a 2016 SUV. Go elsewhere for a smog check. Massive headache, tremendous amount of time wasted, and money wasted. Totally not worth the potential trouble.

I brought my white Audi Q5 in for heavy water spots/etching on the hood and front panels. The owner, Perry, personally inspected the car with me before starting. He walked me through what the process would involve and initially quoted just over $500. After I mentioned that was a bit outside my budget, he adjusted the price to $450 and explained clearly why he couldn't go lower given the labor involved. No pressure, just transparency. I dropped the car off at 8:15 AM and it was completed around 1 PM. When I returned, Perry again personally inspected the vehicle with me and showed me the results. The paint looks dramatically better -- smooth, uniform, and restored. The heavy spotting is gone and the finish has great clarity. What really impressed me was the integrity beyond the paint correction. Perry noticed uneven wear on my front right tire. Instead of trying to sell me new tires, he explained tire rotation intervals (about every 5,000 miles) and recommended simply swapping the rear right to the front right for now. Given that I replaced all four tires at the same time a few years ago, his recommendation made sense. They completed the swap in about 15 minutes for $39.99. No upselling. No scare tactics. Just practical advice. Overall, I left feeling that I was treated fairly, educated properly, and given honest service. That combination is rare. Highly recommend.

I met Sal, who has such a wonderful and charming personality, and it was great to meet Jack in person, too. Within an hour, I had the full analysis and estimate, and around 2:30, a couple of hours before closed, I was called and told the car wouldn't be finished, and asked if I'd like to come pick it up for the weekend (which I declined, we didn't need it!). The prices were fair, and their system of telling you what absolutely needs work versus what they recommend to be worked on was so great in helping me understand what was wrong with the car. My experience with them made me tell my husband that I'd drive to them if we ever moved out of the area. I can't recommend this place enough (just make sure you drive all the way to the green building and dont let anyone stop you like I did!)

Great place to go get a smog check. The person at the front desk (Gagandeep) is polite and kind, you can sense he wants great service for you. The value is great. For $60 and it's right near my house, it's a great deal. I'm sure other places have this price however what makes this place different is their transparency and quality of service. It's fast and easy too. It was first time ever getting a SMOG check so I felt a little nervous how it all was taken care of. Though he taken care of every single thing that needed to be checked. Recently, I went for Smog Check Inspection at the Gagan Smog Station. I found Mr. Gagan pleasant, courteous, very well-informed and patient. He answered all my questions. The price of the inspection was very reasonable. There was also a nice, clean and comfortable waiting area. To my surprise, Mr. Gagan would not accept any tip from me. He was so honest. NOT money hungry. I am very impressed. Mr. Gagan IS A TRULY PROFESSIONAL!!! GREAT, FAST, EFFICIENT SERVICE!!!
