This place is a hidden gem. Everything here is amazing. Their prices are very reasonable too. Such a great value. I especially like the croissants and quiches. The service is fantastic and the ambiance is like you are in a little French cafe. They are only open Thursday-Sunday so plan ahead. I'm definitely going back to try more.

So excited to have an authentic French bakery in SLC finally. They use real French butter in their pastries and the pastry chef has training in France and lived and Europe before moving to SLC and bringing her yummy treats with her. It's in a strip mall and with the simple name it was pretty unassuming. I've tried another bakery before that claimed to be French and it was far from it. However, this is the real deal. The bakery is small with limited seating. The owner's sweet dad runs the counter and is friendly and enthusiastic about his daughter and her pastries. I also got to meet owner and pastry chef as she came in. The pastries are delicious you can taste the quality ingredients and of course that real butter! The strawberry with fresh cream croissant was a hit, the almond and blueberry, raspberry one was dense but full of flavor. I also tried the limited flavor, pistachio with candied cherries and chocolate and of course a salmon, leek and curry quiche to be a bit healthy. There was a lot of salmon in that small quiche and the crust was so buttery and flaky. Don't miss out!

Very beautiful display - nice people and the food is wonderful. Such a great mom and pop location

The Liao family runs this great cafe, which serves the best pastries that I have had in Utah. Amazing flavor profiles and ingredients, including french flour and butter. The chef is Michelin star restaurant trained in Europe and it shows. We have tried the strawberry croissant, the chocolatine, a caramel brioche, the ham and cheese croissant, the lemon tart, and a financier cookie, and all were incredible. They also make a great latte with locally roasted coffee. The cafe was also very clean, including the adorably decorated bathroom, and I loved the wallpaper and tapestry art. Great experience, and well worth the price. I'll have to come back to try the pistachio pastry that I have heard others have been raving about, as it was sold out!

    Strawberry croissant

Really can't say enough good things about this place. The pastries are unmatched, equal parts beautiful and delicious. The family that owns this business is delightful. Chef Chantal makes the lightest, flakiest croissants and everything in the case is delicious. The strawberry croissant is a must try. The salmon/leek quiche, braided cinnamon croissant and the fruit tart are also among my favorites, but really, you can't miss.

What a hidden gem in Holladay! We went in today for the first time and couldn't decide what to get. All the pastries are beautiful as well as delicious. Gilbert gave us some descriptions of the pastries so we could decide what to buy. Délicieux!

Found this lil gem through word of mouth and so glad that we got here before everything sold out. Got a strawberry croissant with real strawberries, cream and home made jam as a layer in the middle. The flavor was perfectly balanced and not overly sweet like most places. Croissant itself was light and flaky. 4 tarts I wanted to bring home on the plane didn't even make it that far. The pastry bottom was beautifully baked and the toppings were flavorful yet not overwhelming. Lemon tart had the punch I was looking for. Definitely a place to check out in SLC if you appreciate authentic French pastries.

    Amazing pastures!

I got a strawberry Mojito without alcohol. They have a fancy name, but I forgot. I asked for recommendations and they gave me quite a few amazing things to think about. I ended up with the steak salad and French toast. They were so good. I want to go back tomorrow to eat it again. I've seen they plated it a little differently on salads. So I wasn't sure how this would be. Every steak was so tender and perfectly seasoned. The shaved brussels sprout was delicious and the avocado was perfect. They were kind enough to change the cheese. I'm still thinking about that salad and beef. The French toast was so good. I wish I took a picture of the bottom so you could see how much vanilla and cinnamon and yumminess was at the bottom of this French toast. The maple syrup was real maple syrup because you could taste it. I was so happy The bathrooms were big and clean and they had period products into women's bathroom. . My server was kind enough to offer to plate or package any bakery items. So I took home six different things. There was one I was curious about and she gave me her honest opinion that it looks good but it's the one item she does not like on the menu. So I ordered something else and the strawberry I can't remember the name was delicious. I may get a Lyft to come back again tomorrow Omg this was the highlight of my weekend. So many things have gone wrong this weekend, but this was a gem.

We go in, I ask for an Almond Croissant, expecting the size you see at other places, then inquire about something like ham and cheese, yep, so asked for one, and a Cappuccino. It'd be a few minutes for the ham and cheese, but they box up my wife's two slices of bread and my other croissant and we wait. Heading for the freeway I open the bag and start on my savory croissant. A half hour later and I ask for the Almost Croissant. "OMG... They are too pretty to eat, I have to take a picture first!" She hands me the largest Almond Croissant I have ever seen! The flavor was as imlressive as the size. Next time we are n the area, we are definitely going back, but I'll only get the Almond Croissant, it's all I'll need!

Ok, the desserts, two of the chocolate decadence cakes, a cheesecake with fruit garnish, a dark chocolate hazelnut mousse something and a raspberry eclair. The chocolate decadence was death by chocolate! Super rich but really deep chocolate flavor. The dark chocolate hazelnut mousse cake was light and pleasantly sweet. Cheesecake was as described, nothing amazing there. And the raspberry eclair was a little sweaty and soggy? Maybe end of the day stuff, not sure, but that was the only negative. We'll be back next time we're town.

The Weeknd has a song on his Trilogy album named "Twenty Eight", hence the idea for the cake design. I specifically ordered this cake for the cake to have the song cover with "Twenty Eight" on it. I reached out to Cakes By Edith on instagram, sent them my cake inspiration and they sent back the exact picture I was wanting, with the song cover for Twenty Eight on the cake. When my boyfriend went to pick up the cake yesterday, the cake was missing the "Twenty Eight" part of the song cover entirely. This completely defeated the purpose of the cake as I am also in bodybuilding prep so I wasn't even going to be able to eat the cake, I just wanted it to take birthday pictures with and then to freeze and eat later after my bodybuilding show. And it's a complete missed opportunity as I only turn 28 once. I sobbed when I saw the cake because I knew even though I couldn't eat it, I was excited to have my perfect cake and Cakes By Edith did not deliver. They did not offer to fix it, nor give a price adjustment. Poorly handled business as I am a very unsatisfied customer. I hate to leave a bad review for a local business but since Cakes By Edith did not even attempt to offer to make things right, I cannot support this business and I will be ordering from a different local baker in the future. I will add pictures/screenshots from the instagram chat. What my inspiration was, and what I received.
