Ok, I'll share my weakness, I love toast, not just some run of the mill store bought bread that I turn into toast, but great toast. You'll get great toast at Leavity, you can count on that. Thick slices of perfectly toasted bread, butter and jam if you like that. I attend to this weakness every week. Oh, don't forget the drip coffee, it's delicious. It's really good. Like any great friend does, Caputo's introduced me to another great friend, Levity Bakery through the Laganes loaf that they sell in store. Today I finally made it into the Levity bakery on Main street (far enough south there is plenty of parking!) So of course I had to order a lot of things. The jambon buerre sandwich with real French butter and a perfectly crunchy but also simultaneously soft baguette transports you to a boulangerie in the 5th arrondissement in Paris. But then I had some bites of the salami and cheese baguette sandwich and that french mustard and salami combo hit the palate just right and then I couldnt decide which one I loved more. But then I had a sip of the Mexican Mocha and it was an unexpected earthy sensation which some smoked spices and very little sugar which felt very sophisticated and less guilt inducing. But then I had some bites of the bread pudding muffin creation and I was equally delighted to find a complexity of flavors without an overload of sweetness hitting the palate. Leavity is a lovely spot for coffee and food! So much space inside to dine-in and stay for a while. I got the Jambon-Beurre sandwich - a classic French sandwich served on their fresh baguette with Irish butter and sweetheart ham. My friend and I devoured it, 10/10! In hindsight, I should have bought a baguette to take home for later. The outside was crunchy and the inside was perfectly warm and soft. I got a Lavender Latte and my friend got a half-caf latte. Friendly staff! There's not a ton of seating and maybe only a few tables with access to an outlet. I got an iced matcha latte with oat milk that was quite mild, although, they did say they use ceremonial matcha which is a good sign. I'll need to come back to try their bread! read more

Best mocha latte I've ever had. I think they used dark chocolate. It was so creamy and smooth. My friend got a baguette which was perfection, like I was back in Paris or Nice. And I got the avocado toast, which was definitely one of the best I've ever had. The bread was phenomenal. Everyone working was kind and helpful. My favorite part of the interior was the corner by the front door full of lush plants. I cannot WAIT to visit this spot again next time I'm in SLC. read more

Came across these guys at the Wheeler Farm farmers market and decided to try out their brick and mortar store. Their focaccia is delightful, light and fluffy, and perfect for dipping. I also got their miso chocolate chip cookie and it was so good. Since I went later in the afternoon I tried their in house Arnold Palmer with bitters and I will be dragging my husband back to try their coffee and sandwiches. Service was great and the ambiance let you take a breath out and just relax. read more

Love this cute bakery and coffee shop! They are known for their breads and for good reason. They are crusty on the outside and nice and chewy on the inside. I ordered a matcha latte, a loaf of sourdough and a jambon beurre sandwich that came with a side of greens. The butter on that sandwich took me back to France it was so fragrant and flavorful. A delicious mid morning snack! The barista was so kind giving me a rundown of the menu along with the special sourdough of the day which was a jalapeno and cheddar. Parking was plentiful and they had wifi with plenty of cozy seating. They sell out so come early to secure your carb craving. read more

I had a loaf of cheddar jalapeño sourdough from Caputo's. I am from Germany and have hard time finding bread for myself. This bread is fabulous. The crust has nice bite and center looks, tastes , smells like it one I get in Germany. The bread was left on counter in bag wrapped tightly and lasted about 6 days. Last two days was getting bit hard to slice but that is sign ofgreat quality bread. I went to actual bakery in Salt Lake City. Vibe was cool it was neat and clean. Will not be a returning customer. The customer service is lacking to say the least. We waited at the counter for a good 5 minutes while the 3 people standing around in the kitchen completely ignored us while another worker was making coffee for 1 of 2 tables there that morning. When we were helped, the worker was really unfriendly and it made for an awkward experience. We purchased a loaf of sourdough and it was definitely overdone (on day 1 of eating it). The bread has good flavor, but it was so hard to cut through with a bread knife and the crust was extremely difficult to chew through. On day 3 of finishing up the loaf, the crust is actually inedible and not worth cracking a tooth over. read more
