    Vanilla Macarons & Lemon Cake
    Jamison J.

Delicious baked goods, grabbed a couple Macarons and a lemon cake. The Macarons were of perfect taste and texture. Would've bought a million if I had the chance. The staff were very knowledgeable and helpful and service was very quick. They offer an arrangement of French snacks, cheeses, baked goods, and more. It's very worth the stop. The ambiance and environment of the location is very homey and almost rustic, it's very welcoming and comfortable.

Everything was absolutely delicious, especially love the Bibb salad and Hannah fries. Fast, friendly service. Great patio and ambiance.

Chocolate cake-very light yet very rich.

French Market has an awesome Grab-N-Go area with delectable food for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, and a gorgeous pastry case for any occasion. Do not be fooled- there is plenty of room for a dine-in experience, a meal on the patio or a night at their bar. The food and service are perfection. I am so happy to have discovered this gem in PV!

Came here for dinner last night with my Grandma and sister and it was great! We got to sit outside to enjoy the nice weather and the service was amazing. They checked on us often and made sure we were comfortable. We all got the Sangria which we all loved. I got the steak, and asked for medium but it came out well done, and it was delicious. It was still soft, juicy, and the sauce was yum! The Hannah fries were good too and my fingers were covered in the dust. We also all got desserts (I got the fruit tart) and we all really enjoyed. They also have pastry items and refrigerated items you can heat up at home which I will definitely come back for.

This place has an unique menu and taste. I love that you can walk in and buy things to go. I always come for the quiche, it is light and fluffy. I did get to try the Hannah fries since my coworker grab some when we went, weren't my jam but that's ok. It can be very busy at lunch time. They have a 90 minute time limit. They have a full bar and the cashier said it gets "hopping" at night. You can sit at the bar and order if you want.

Cozy atmosphere, great pastry selections, savory breakfast, delicious cappuccinos... what's there not to love about this place? Highly recommend!

What a treat! Came here for late lunch on a Saturday and shared a bowl of tomato soup, Hannah sandwich and Hannah fries with my sister. It was all amazing!!! We each got a chocolate chip cookie to go and it is the best chocolate chip cookie I've ever had I think!

Food - always, and continuously scrumptious! Service - consistently good. Ambiance - a busy cafe with a great grab and go section, with all kinds of goodies. Had to break a fast at 4:00 PM and this turned out to be the best time to do it. First - Got a great parking spot, which is an art here (most of the time crazy busy). Second - Saw the newer dinner options with small plates/entrees/sides - options galore. Third - Opted to start with the Marinated Olives (insert dirty Martini craving here) and they were plentiful for the price and yummy, though non pitted. Main course - Steak and Frites (aka fries). The hanger/strip steak was phenomenal! Especially with the Pesto Chimichurri sauce. BTW (my preference for any steak practically, is Med.Rare). Even the fries (copious as they were) got to bathe in the Pesto sauce and the steak drippings. Overall one of the best steak & frites meals I've had, and IMHO better than Aixos (another of only a few great French restaurants in KC).

Ok will be back to try the desserts!!! Our waiter I think as a bit frazzled when we started our service. I attempted to order the sesame chicken salad with no dressing but was told that it was already pretosssed--sad! So I got the side salad instead and some fries. The seasoning on the sides was a bit overpowering for me. Def want to get the steak frites sometime. The menu all looked quite lovely. Everything fresh. They don't take reservations so you'll want to come early for dinner service. By 6p, it was full!

The Hannah sandwich, mozzarella tomato sandwich, les frites, French onion dip

Came to the French market on a Friday night and it was so delicious. While busy, we were seated fairly quickly. Their patio area was great! I must rave about the sandwiches- we ordered the Hannah and the mozzarella tomato to share and they were so good! Also got fries and French onion dip to share, which was a perfect choice. They had a market area that sold various household items, cheeses, and other trinkets that were fun to look at while we waited for a table. Overall a great experience and I have to come back to try more!

outdoor seating is just like france and even in the cold it's perfect because of the heaters! very authentic. The food is perfect everytime and good for a variety of people. It's also very fast and the servers are efficient!

Hannah Fries and pesto aioli which seem
    Terrie S.

The Hannah Fries are the best of French fries, there is a generous sprinkle of paprika and curry on the fries and it's served with pesto aioli which seems to be a touch of basil pesto mixed into mayonnaise, absolutely fantastic. You step in and see jars of jelly, fresh baguettes, and cheese on one side and small selection of kitchen items on the other, and in the middle the counter to order fresh made food and a quaint general store vibe with a full service bar, plenty of tables to sit both inside and on the patio. The French Market is A+ with us.

For some reason, anytime there was a tcby available to me, I was always thwarted with the chance to actually go. So, when I looked at the menu and saw the white chocolate mousse, I immediately jumped into my car and off I went. And it was worth it. You know how sometimes you eat something that just floods you with nostalgia? This was it for me. My soul was so happy. A regular is pretty big, by the way. A good 12 oz. They also have pints and double pints to go, so you know I had to get that. Total equaled to 18.15$. Not too bad for a big portion of my childhood.

It was after 8:30 and I hadn't eaten dinner & thought I'd get something relatively healthy. Fat-free Frozen yogurt & berries sounded good. I got on Yelp and saw this shop was closer to me than my usual pick - the Yogurtini near UMKC. I pulled up and realized it's in the old TCBY location. I was surprised to see the inside didn't look much newer or cleaner than the ancient TCBY had looked. The employee was in the process of cleaning up (which I expected) so the toppings had all been taken away, but were still accessible. I asked what they had when I ordered since I thought they may be out of things due to the late hour. Well, I was in luck. They still had all 6 frozen yogurt options and I assume all the toppings. I asked for a parfait which is two "scoops" of yogurt and three layers of toppings. I got Tahitian Vanilla and vegan Blueberry Vanilla yogurt with strawberries and nuts. So disappointing! Surprisingly the vegan yogurt had more flavor than the non-vegan. I could taste the blueberry and I thought it tasted pretty creamy. I couldn't taste any vanilla flavor at all. Obviously, frozen yogurt isn't as tasty as soft-serve or ice cream, but this just tastes like nothing. The berries were frozen and the nuts were the chopped sundae topping variety like you would get at McDonald's. The parfait was $6 and I tipped $1. For this price at yogurtuni I would have gotten TWICE the amount of yogurt and FRESH berries and higher quality nuts or granola. Honestly, it's only 1 star based on what I tasted and the terrible value. I've been WAY more satisfied with the 99 cent soft serve from QT. I added one more star because the single teenager working did a good job handing a rush of people in the store at closing time on Sunday night. This area obviously needs an ice cream shop open later due to the number of people there, but they should honestly go to Baskin Robbins or Fairway Creamery or Betty Rae's or any other place remotely in the area.

The birthday cake one is premade, meaning you can't customize it (if you prefer fresh, bold espresso, I wouldn't recommend the birthday cake. It's very light/milky). It was OUTSTANDING! The cold foam balances out the bold espresso with a sweet, delicate blackberry flavor. I used to love going to Monarch before it closed, and this is the closest flavor I've found. As for bakery items, we had the orange cinnamon roll and a normal cinnamon roll and they were good as well. They have a fluffy bread texture and the frosting isn't too sweet. Also, some use this place to study, so if you are looking for somewhere with outdoor seating for personal work, this is a great place.
