Clementines was the planned after-dinner dessert for yesterday evening, but due to a snafu at a restaurant that I won't name, whose kitchen was closed 30 minutes before they closed, we ended up coming to Clementines before we ended the night at a different taco restaurant that took great care of us. Saying that, to say, we had dessert before we had dinner, but we had a great experience at Clementines. The line was literally wrapped completely around inside the store, so when you walk in, you have to go all the way to the other end and turn around to get to the back of the line. They were popular last night, but they moved quickly. They took care of us, and there were no issues. The line did not stop growing. Even when we left, it was the same thing, but again, staff members took great care of us. They offered samples for everything that was there, and they gave us great recommendations. They were quick, they were knowledgeable, and they were pleasant, making the experience seamless. I'll speak to what I ended up actually ordering, which was the ooey gooey butter cake that they have in the cooler. It was about $15. It caught my attention while I was standing in line, so I went ahead and ordered that. I did have a small piece of it last night after I got home. Definitely amazing flavor. I will be going back to get one of the small tubs of ice cream to put it on top, like one of the staff members recommended. That was a 5 out of 5 My wife ended up getting the red velvet waffle cone with the salted caramel cookies and cream single scoop. It was definitely amazing. I like the crunch of the waffle cone, and it had good flavor to it. The salted caramel cookies and cream was true to its name. It had good flavor. I'm not a big dairy person, but it did not mess with my stomach, which I highly appreciate. It was more than enough for us to share, especially since we ran the risk of spoiling our appetite for dinner, but it was amazing, really good. I will be going back to get the midnight pleasure, which is a triple dark chocolate ice cream. They have, for the lack of a better word, a black ice cream cone, so I'll be going back to do that. I sampled several flavors. The gooey butter cake, the midnight pleasures, the Salted caramel cookies and cream all of them tasted great. I liked the fact that they had kosher options and non-dairy options as well. If you haven't been here, you should definitely give it a try. read more

Genuinely some of the best vegan ice cream I have ever had -- and I've had A LOT of vegan ice cream. The lemon poppyseed was so tangy (sometimes flavors like this aren't citrusy enough for me, but this was perfect) with the best little crunch, and the golden milk biscoff flavor was the stuff of dreams. It was all so incredibly creamy. They also had several vegan flavors with malt, which I NEVER see. There was a big line and it's kinda pricey, but I'll be coming back every time I visit my family in the area. I live in seattle and when I'm in the OP area I always go to Mud Pie Bakery (all vegan, one of the best I've ever been to) and now I'll also add Clementines to the list. The ice cream has some fun flavors, but some of the flavors were little bit odd taste even like mint, or coconut, it's not typically flavored. It almost felt little bit salty. The colored waffle cones were not very crisp. The salted caramel cookie and cream was good. read more

I brought my grandkids to this ice cream shop after a hot park day. We were greeted nicely by the server. We let some other people go in front of us so that we can make a decision since children take a while! I would say that their ice cream flavors are more on the adult spectrum. I chose a single scoop small cup for my two-year-old grandson that was Madagascar vanilla which he thoroughly enjoyed. My six-year-old granddaughter chose a lighter chocolate flavor, which I can't recall the name. She really enjoyed hers as well. I chose the medium cut and had the triple chocolate, which was excellent. I also tried an espresso flavored ice cream for the second scoop. I liked the triple chocolate, one better. It was a nice friendly and quieter shop. They had a few places to sit inside, but more of the places were on the outside. Some were upfront and some to the side and when I was there, there was a good amount of shade for those areas which was around 3 o'clock. I would definitely come back if I'm in the area. The only reason I gave it a four is that the ice cream was quite firm and it took quite a bit of pressure to get a bite out of the cup. So it took the two year-old quite some time to eat because it remained firm and didn't melt quickly. So that's a good thing when it's hot and you're eating outside which we were not we were on the inside. But I would say I felt the ice cream was just a little bit too frozen to fully enjoy it melting in your mouth. read more

Clementine's Ice Cream is hands down one of the most gorgeous ice cream parlors in town, with very creative and chic interiors. As soon as I got to know about this icecream parlor, I visited their website and learned about the inspiring story behind it.. the owner built this ice cream brand from her childhood memories of making ice cream every Sunday with family especially after visiting church and honestly, I think her hard work has truly paid off! The shop offers a wide range of creative flavors and a few of them are also alcohol-infused.. Fascinating, right? After checking out all their amazing flavors, I went for a small kids cup of Geldimar, it was rich, full of dark chocolate, and had just the right touch of salted caramel. A complete melt-in-your-mouth experience with that perfect sweet and salty balance. My husband got the Jersey Devil, a sweet and spicy flavor that literally burns your tongue and throat. Are you ready for that challenge? Because it won't be easy, haha! The BBQ flavor really comes through in that one. He also had his ice cream in a beautifully made dark waffle cone, carved with pretty designs. They also had other cone flavor options, which was nice to see. Overall, we had a great time enjoying our ice cream here and would love to come back to try more flavors. However, I would like to mention that all of their ice creams are extremely sweet, so it might not be the best spot for someone with diabetes or anyone looking for mild sweet ice cream options. 4.5 stars but rounding up. I've been hearing about this place since it opened up in KS and the hype, but never went because it's out of the way for me. But today I went and wish I had sooner! I got to sample a few seasonal flavors, including sticky toffee pudding, pandan polvoron with raspberry jam, and sugar cookie. I also tried some regular flavors including gooey butter cake, butter brickle, Billie's tahini chocolate chip cookie, mounds of coconut, and lemon poppyseed. They were all good and I appreciated that they didn't limit me on samples. Though if I have a minor complaint I will say it was strange that I got sample sizes that were inconsistent, with one that was really generous, like a heaping spoonful, and also a couple samples that were stingy, like just shaving a thin slice off the top. The more scant samples made it hard for me to get a sense of what the ice cream flavor was like. One of those was butter brickle where I only got a caramelized flavor with chocolate specks, but from reading the description online it sounds like it has a lot more nuance. Kinda disappointing since that's one of their most popular flavors. Other than that though customer service was pretty friendly. Everyone was telling me their favorite flavors plus their mom's favorite flavors. I ended up getting the first two seasonal flavors I tried and they were both really good. The pandan polvoron one in particular was very unique especially for an ice creamery hailing from the Midwest. The pandan cheesecake base had a nice salty and sweet flavor. I didn't quite get pandan from the polvoron itself but they were good too! The raspberry swirl helped balance everything else out nicely. One thing I would like to echo is that this is fairly expensive ice cream, $5.50 for a mini scoop each. I don't mind paying for high quality ice cream I really like but it's far from the best value. Anyway I'll be back! To try more flavors, especially seasonal ones. I'm excited to see what they have to offer in the future, almost a 5/5 ice cream place for me. read more

If you like ice cream, run, don't walk, to Clementine's! When I discovered them in St. Louis in June 2025, I thought I'd died and gone to Ice Cream Heaven! They make small batch hand-crafted flavors. I'm a chocoholic, but their Lemon Poppyseed and is divine! I asked (begged) them to consider opening a shop in the Kansas City area...and was beyond excited to learn they were going to do just that in early Fall! And now they're getting ready to open another one by KC's famous women's soccer stadium! Exquisitely good ice cream, including dairy-free, vegan, and gluten-free options. Unfortunately, they can't sell their "Naughty" alcohol-infused flavors in KS, where their first KC-area shop is. Still, there are fabulous unique flavors galore, and 5 different flavors of waffle cones, and SO much more to titillate your taste buds! I'm so stoked to have Clementines Ice Cream in town from St. Louis! (Now all we need is Ted Drewes!) I've been to their locations in STL as well as when they had pop-ups at Andres in KC. There are plenty of traditional and offbeat flavors to try. Warning, there are no "Naughty" flavors though, aka those with booze. We were told it's illegal in Kansas, which means it's Just Clementines "Nice" Ice Cream's (instead of Naughty and Nice.) Let's hope the Missouri side gets a "Naughty" location in KC. I tried the Grandma Marie's Butter Brickle, alongside Salted Caramel Cookies and Cream. My partner got the Pumpkin Gooey Butter Cake and Italian Butter Cookie ice creams. A mini (1 flavor) is $6, A Petite (2 flavors) is $8 and there's a Moyen for $9 and a Grand Cru for $15. The interior is gorgeous and whimsical. The service was attentive and swift, even with me trying multiple flavors. I'd say this is more of an occasional treat, given the price tag. The quality and service justify it though. Went here tonight for the first time and oh my! It's the cutest place. My dairy free heart was elated to see that it's Veganuary! And they had a list of dairy free options too. The staff was excited to share about their menu and let us try more than 5 flavors- with the most darling reusable spoons. I love that they partner with Billie's Grocery for the Tahini chip cookie. Very long line but nicely decorated and clean, for a brand new ice cream shop! They have stylish metal reusable tasting spoons to sample the different flavors, which there are many unique options! I especially enjoyed the dairy free vegan options. The lemon poppyseed flavor was amazingly flavorful and the perfect amount of lemon and creamy texture with the poppyseeds throughout. I have never been to Clementines before. I came in today and tried the "What Tiggers Love Best" flavor after one of the workers (LeShay) recommended it to me. It was so delicious and I couldn't even tell it was vegan! Both of the girls working (Alaina and LeShay) were very sweet and so helpful. I told them that I loved their chalkboard menu and Alaina said that she drew it. I was so impressed! They also let me try so many samples because it is so hard to choose! Went to Clementine's on their opening week Friday. My fiancé is an ice cream nut and I just knew we had to try it right away. First impression was that it's an adorable space. And the service was quite quick. I had a scoop of the seasonal mothman and Grandma's butter brickle in the funfetti cone. Both were truly delicious. I'll be honest I think it's probably the best ice cream in town, and I've been to Betty Rae's, I've been to High Hopes, I've been to Summersalt. I've been to all the big names that are in the Johnson County area (including the new Handel's). This is better. The only caveat is that it is extremely expensive. Before tax and tip, my ice cream was $11, which again was two scoops of ice cream in a cone. The picture doesn't do it justice, because it looks like a huge amount of ice cream. But it was 2 average size scoops. And if you look in that photo that I posted, you can see the 3 cup sizes. The one all the way to the left, their really small one? It's maybe a quarter cup size and it is $6. Do I think it's amazing ice cream and I think everyone should try it and is it the best in town? Yes. But do I think it is worth the cost? I'm not so sure. I don't think it's 20%-30% better than other spots in town they are closer to me, and that's how much it costs. So if I am in the area and I hadn't been in several months, maybe I would say let's go there. But I couldn't see this being in our regular rotation like some of the other places around town. read more

I had a salted caramel cookies and cream scoop on a sugar cone. It was tasty but fairly small and was $8 for a single cone. As an STL native, Clementine's is my favorite STL ice cream shop and now we have it in KC!!! (Can you feel my excitement!!) I came on a Friday night and there was literally a line out the door, but it went pretty quick and the staff were so incredibly helpful and kind. I love the little details about clementines -- the silver sample spoons instead of plastic, the vintage feel, the quippy quotes and art on the walls. And don't even get me started on the actual ice cream-- creamy sweet perfection. I got the lemon poppyseed (my go-to order) and the dark chocolate raspberry which was delicious. I hope they incorporate the naughty or nice aspect of the OG clementines at some point, because if there's anything better than ice cream, it's alcoholic ice cream.
