    Half sandwich and Salad
    Tyson C.

Only went through the drive thru- always wanted to go in but I was sick and a sandwich and salad sounded like a good plan, was not disappointed both sandwich and salad was amazing. I'm excited to return to try a lot more options including a cookie I had my eyes on. Highly recommend

We tried out this location today and the service was great and friendly. The decor is attractive and the playlist nice and the atmosphere casual and relaxing. But it is cold throughout the whole place and the seating is tight and uncomfortable. The lemon bar my husband got was good and flavorful but their lattes were weak and not very bold.

Yum! This place is the best. Such a cute location and with the remodel they did you would have no idea it used to be a sub shop. I love being able to put a to go order in over my super busy lunch and have a hearty and healthy meal ready to go. Today I tried the southwest salad for the first time and it was SO delicious. But the best part was the ease of ordering it on their website, and paying with Toast. The food is always ready when it says it will be and it's a breeze to hop in and grab my lunch to go. I also really love their sandwiches and they have some of the best pastries and cookies. Their Cobb salad is also one of my favorites. Both salads come with a slice of the most delicious bread. Highly recommend this location of McLain's!

I love this place so much! I've been a handful of times for breakfast and the veggie burrito is sooo good. The staff is always super friendly. Their bakery items look amazing and I can't wait to try some (it's SO hard to resist!). It's also a great spot to grab some cookies or cupcakes as a gift. I am very ready for the weather to warm up so I can enjoy the outdoor seating. I will definitely continue going to McLain's.

So happy McLain's opened - been needing more casual coffee/breakfast spots in this area. There's a ton of seating inside and out, but would say our table was a liiiittle dirty. My almond milk latte was a solid 10/10, and the sticky bun and cinnamon roll were both great! Do wish that they'd offer to heat them up though. They had a huge selection of pastries, would love to try one of the savory ones next time.

In town visiting and this is the first place we stopped! It made SUCH a first impression lovely staff with great attitudes, professionalism, and beautiful smiles! Big menu, lots of options and they do no disappoint delivering you QUALITY food items with great flavor!! Inside is adorable. Lots of cute products as well. We plan to go back tomorrow morning and get something new on the menu. Husband bit into my breakfast sandwich and said it was the best he's ever bitten into! his tacos were a hit also! 10/10

I was very excited to see McLain's open a new location near me. I've been here twice now. It was very busy but the line moves quickly. There's a good amount of seating but it could be tough to find a spot at peak times. I ordered the biscuit + gravy both of my visits along with various pastry items. Highly recommend the biscuit + gravy. Biscuits and gravy is one of my favorites for breakfast and McLain's option does not disappoint. The service is excellent. The staff that runs the food to you is extremely accommodating and helpful. I will be a regular at this location and plan to work my way through the extensive bakery items!

This new location was already bustling with activity while offering efficient service and a delicious pastry during my soft opening dine-in visit. The cherry danish ($2.95) was served up quickly and cheerfully at the counter, where a very good selection was available. The pastry was fresh and delicious. I noticed a clean and new dining area with background music inside and a drive-thru outside. Very nice!

Not your average coffee shop/bakery. In addition to people loving their drinks and pastries, McLain's offers a great selection of healthy breakfast and lunch options. This market is refreshing and full of personality and the staff are excellent. Lots of room to enjoy the beautiful outdoor set up or snag a clean table inside. The Harvest Quinoa Bowl was packed with fresh flavors that all came together to create a healthy and satisfying snack. Not the best in terms of value, but for trendy and solid options, this has to be towards the top of the list.

Super quick service and great breakfast! The girl breakfast is an awesome concept that I wish more places did!

We discovered this local gem today. And we are glad we did. Think a cross between a local Panera and a quaint local cafe/bakery. We love to support local and they have a few different locations on the KC area to visit. The staff is friendly and cheerful, which always brings a smile. Their menu variety has enough to satisfy almost every craving. Wraps, salads, bowls, sandwhiches, pasteries, cakes, hot drinks, cold drinks and seasonal choices, etc. We stopped in for pasteries and a coffee today. My husband loves cinnamon rolls and theirs did not disappoint. Light and fluffy with just the right amount of sweetness. The size is pretty decent as well. I had the butter roll, which was also light and fluffy. Reminded me of a lightly iced croissant roll. I also tried their Market Latte. Which may have just become my favorite latte. Best way to describe it is, a liquid cinnamon roll in a cup. They use Sway coffee (local) in all their coffe drinks. Next visit I plan trying their girl breakfast plate and the london fog tea.

My bestfriend bought me here because we live for cute bakeries! This is definitely one of our fav spots. They were soooooo kind, I mean beyond amazing. We came for breakfast sandwiches another time and they were just as sweet. I couldn't decide what I wanted, and usually when I do, I wanna try a few different things and they had the perfect thing for that: girl breakfast. The girl breakfast is probably one of the most creative menu items I've ever seen. I can't wait to come back!

Kudos to the team here for stepping up their game. My first couple experiences here were so-so, but as I suspected they had a lot of business and just needed some time to find their feet at this location. I've mentioned before that the environment here is not my typical vibe, however I have not been harassed here and always been treated with kindness and respect. This is a great spot for work, pleasure, and just passing through. The quality of the food has really improved and you can get lots of fun locally based products and gifts.

They absolutely have the processes of this little restaurant honed to perfection, and even during a busy lunch time kept things humming so that there was minimal wait time (to order, for the food to be brought out, and to pay for our meal). Many, MANY thanks to Robert, who seated us, took our order, brought our food out, and settled our bill. He was friendly, efficient, and so welcoming. It was a joy to watch him work; he made sure to greet each and every customer coming in the door, and was consistently so upbeat and positive. And many, MANY thanks to Tony at the grill! Our food was FANTASTIC!! I have high standards for Mediterranean food, and the falafel wrap was totally delicious! The falafel itself was perfectly cooked, with a crispy outer layer, and the other ingredients in the wrap were chosen for a perfect melding of flavors. I had the side salad, with homemade Thai peanut dressing, and it was equally tasty. My husband had the patty melt, which came on homemade bread (!) and was, per his report, perfectly done. His side was tater tots, and we shared them. They were crisp and light without being greasy, and addictively yummy! The restaurant is in a strip center; it's not very big, but the tables are well placed so that no one feels cramped. The open reception area and kitchen/grill make it easy for the staff to respond to what's happening in the dining room (e.g., new folks arriving). It was a truly memorable meal, and we'll definitely be back! Again, MANY thanks to Robert and Tony for such a great lunch. We appreciate you!

On this last visit I got the West Coast Omelet (bacon, onions, tomatoes, and cheese topped with a couple of avocado slices). It comes with a side of rosemary potatoes and an English muffin. I swapped the muffin for a biscuit. I had forgotten their biscuits are more similar to a cross between cornbread and cake. I'd prefer just a regular biscuit even though their style of biscuit is interesting. The omelet and biscuit was large. The rosemary potatoes are delicious and I'd have loved to have a bit more of them. I really enjoyed the omelet as well! I had to take about half of the omelet and biscuit to go. The only reason I'm giving 4 instead of 5 stars is because I think there dishes tend to be a bit more sweet and while I love sweet, if I'm eating savory, I'm picky about the sweetness. I think that is a personal preference and I'm sure some people love it. My server was Kat (Katerina) and she was great. Very patient and helpful. She happened to be my server both times I've been there! The restaurant is very clean with a comfortable, welcoming environment. It's always nice to see their messages of kindness. We could use a lot more of that these days! Cruelty seems to be in fashion now. It's refreshing to go somewhere promoting kindness! I'd go back just for that bit the service is outstanding and the food is really good!

This spot is owned by the same team behind Kate's Kitchen up north--which I've always found fantastic--and I'm happy to report this location is on that same elite wavelength. The Experience: The atmosphere is clean and impressively airy, making for a great morning vibe. Both the hostess and server were exceptionally engaging, even providing a personal water pitcher for the table--a small touch that makes a huge difference. The Food: Chicken Fried Chicken: This is the real deal. It was clearly prepared fresh, not frozen, which is a rarity these days. The Sides: The home potatoes were perfectly crispy, and the gravy was thick, peppery, and hit all the right notes. The Biscuit: This "super-sized" biscuit was essentially the icing on the cake. The Eggs: I ordered my eggs poached soft. They arrived a bit too soft (runny yolk was the goal, but these were just under), though in fairness, that's likely on me for the specific request! The corned beef was good and I would get that again, but not on a benny. The hollandaise was ok but a bit bland. I was expecting some lemon flavor and that tangy kick but it was super mild. It was fine just not to my liking. My wife got a breakfast quesadilla and it was stuffed full and was better than mine.
