Restaurant in the hotel. Nice and open. Not too busy so we grabbed a booth by the window but there was only one server so it was a while between courses. Ordered some wine but they were out of a lot so we grabbed what they had. Same situation with food. Hit or miss if they had what we wanted. Got some jambalaya and a Caesar to start. Jambalaya was really good IMO. It was spicy and a very large portion. Could've been a main. Caesar was basic but did have good flavors. We split the penne primavera. It was ok. Added a steak to the top. It was cooked well but it was just ok as well. This place got high marks for the food and for the most part I agree but being out of so many things really took from the experience. Only one server made for an un necessarily long evening but she was working hard. We would not go out of our way to go back but if you are staying in the hotel it is a convenient choice.

A great Restaurant to eat at. It doesn't matter if you're coming for breakfast or dinner. You can be on property or you could just be driving by. The food is worth stopping at and so much better than fast food or a generic diner. It's very clean and professional. The staff is amazing! I can truly say I recommend it.....and you all know I'm picky ;) https://youtu.be/JppDXeHRHYc. Check it out

Yummy goodness!! Breakfast until 11 am . I got here around 9:30am and they were still bringing out fresh cooked food! Clean and relaxing environment! Beautiful view of the lake! You can eat inside or outside ! Way to start off this beautiful Sunday ! Thank you Frequency and thank you Doubletree Hilton! Just the fuel I need to hit these Jacksonville Florida streets! Peace and Blessings to all !

Food was served hot and fresh! And the view over the lake with water fountain and flowers made it relaxing. Waitress not the most attentive I have ever had but overall it was a nice experience.

This hotel restaurant was alright for a quick bite on a layover. The tarmac burger is pretty big and tasty. It's everything that you could ask for in a burger, from bacon to a fried egg. The french fried were cold when i got the food served to me but i was too hungry to care at that point. The bartender was awesome with the service, just the cooks were lacking.

Staying at the Doubletree Hotel at JAX airport. I usually don't do hotel restaurants, but thought I would give this one a try. Had the wedge salad and the NY strip steak. Plus a Pinot Nori. The wedge salad wasn't a wedge, but is was very tasty. Lots of blue cheese plus the blue cheese dressing. I would recommend this one. The Pinot Nori was Canyon. Ok. The NY Strip was served with Diane sauce but it had a tomato taste. The steak was medium but very chewy and not that flavorful. I would make another selection if I visit again. The wait staff must also handle room service while waiting tables. There was long periods of time the wait staff was absence. The table next to me had to ask another waiter for their check and was told their waiter was on a room service run and couldn't get them a check until he returned. I too waited a long time for my check. Plus waited a long time for my salad to be served. While the wait staff was pleasant they should stay focused in the restaurant guest. I'll try breakfast in the morning

    Seafood Chowder

First time visiting this place. What a jewel, which I almost missed because of the pricing. Here are the tale of the tape: The Good: The food and service. I ordered the Seafood Chowder and the Reuben Spring Rolls. The chowder was simply the best I ever tried; a fusion of rich flavors on every bite, incredibly tasty, thick, full of seafood and phenomenal presentation. This dish is an experience you need to try at this place. Believe me; simply outstanding, a 5/5 stars. The Reuben Rolls were equally good; balance mix of flavors, fresh, moist and crispy. It almost missed the mark due to the amount of grease/oil still dripping from the rolls. It wasn't a distraction due to the rich flavors of this dish. So I would recommend the Chef to somehow control the grease/oil, perhaps let it sit for a bit longer before serving. The service by Mark F was phenomenal. He was knowledgable of the menu, friendly, enjoy being here, respectfully and had situational awareness. Great job Mark!! The Bad: The high prices and a bit of oil drip from the Reuben Rolls. Overall Experience: Although the prices are high, I would pay it based on the quality of the food they serve here. The other customers looked like they were enjoying their meals. So everything looked very good. The ambience and decor were adequate and in tune with modern places. Great place, a hidden jewel with great food and outstanding service. I'll be back! Mark

Stayed here on a overnight trip. Read the reviews and gave it a try! The food is amazing, had the clam chowder and the Mac & Cheese

Best seafood chowder and shrimp wedge salad ever. Great service and reasonably priced. Kudos DoubleTree. Not your typical hotel food. Cool vibe. Relaxing quiet atmosphere.

A Welcome Surprise at the End of a Long Travel Day…read more"Sometimes the best meals are the ones you never expected." After a long day of travel delays and missed meals, we landed in Jacksonville hungry and exhausted. Our flight from Dallas arrived more than five hours late, our luggage took forever, and by the time we finally made it to the car it was past 9:15 at night. At that hour we knew our dining options were limited. As we drove away from the airport we spotted Ruby Tuesday with its lights still on and decided to give it a try. It is not the type of restaurant we typically review, but this turned out to be one of those nights when a simple meal becomes memorable because of the people and the experience. Ambiance and Décor Ruby Tuesday is exactly what you expect from a national restaurant near the airport. Clean, simple, and located in a commercial area frequented by travelers and hotel guests. The décor will not win design awards, but what stood out to us immediately was how warmly we were welcomed. We were the only guests in the restaurant and it was clear the staff was hoping to close up soon, yet they greeted us with genuine kindness. After the day we had, that meant more than they probably realized. Menu and Drinks After hours without food, the Ruby Refresher caught my attention right away and it hit the spot perfectly. Susan ordered a cosmopolitan. The bartender was new and still learning, and the first drink was not quite right. The staff handled it beautifully and remade it without hesitation. The second version was fantastic. Their professionalism and friendliness turned a small hiccup into a positive moment. The menu is extensive and offers plenty of comfort food choices, especially for tired travelers looking for something satisfying. Food Quality I ordered the triple smash burger with onion rings and it was exactly what I needed. Maybe it was the long day, maybe it was the hunger, but it tasted fantastic. Susan chose the tilapia special with shrimp. The dish was prepared very well with flavorful rice and a sauce that struck the right balance of seasoning and spice. For a late night meal at a chain restaurant, the food exceeded our expectations. Service This is where Ruby Tuesday truly excelled. Every staff member we interacted with was friendly, accommodating, and genuinely caring. They treated us like valued guests even though we were the last table of the night. Their attitude turned what could have been a forgettable meal into an experience we appreciated. Value and Pricing The pricing was very reasonable for both the quality and the portions. It is exactly what you hope for in a restaurant catering to travelers. Overall Experience Walking in we did not expect much. Walking out we were pleasantly surprised. The warm service, well prepared food, and welcoming atmosphere made this a far better experience than we imagined when we pulled out of the airport parking lot. Ruby Tuesday may not be a destination restaurant, but on this night it was exactly what we needed. The Culinary Duo Rating:

What a shame! They used to have the most tender and buttery steaks in the area. We did tell our server, but she had no recommendations about how to rectify the situation. There weren't many people in the restaurant, (maybe 4 tables) so it was quiet. Our server was waiting on every table. The chefs were singing VERY loudly in the back. I believe in having fun while you work, but he was being obnoxious. Obviously that there was no manager on duty that day. We consider this place our "go to " for a no-drama meal... Obviously something has changed.

After looking over the menu, they do offer a steakhouse salad for $19.99 however, the steak is a center-cut sirloin which would not be my first choice. I would prefer a ribeye, but you can't just swap out the steak type. The waitress, Christine, suggested I order a steak of my choice, and then make a larger salad both of my sides. So, my salad was bigger than the normal side and yet didn't cost extra because it came with the steak as two of my sides. I felt it was a clever solution to my dilemma. I got a good size salad with a steak that I wanted which ended up being a Delmonico ribeye, which is a new item on their menu according to what it says. The ambience most people were seated at or around the bar area and when I arrived, it took a couple minutes before someone saw me up at the greeting podium. I asked her to seat me away from the bar area and she ended up seating me right on the other side of the partition of the bar area right in front of the kitchen. Which is better than being seated in front of the bathroom. but there is a lot of foot traffic with the weight staff going in and out of the kitchen and having to loudly good grief, yell the word "corner!" when going in and out to warn others to avoid a collision. I would've preferred to be seated further away to a more isolated spot. They were certain plenty of tables to choose from, showing that they were really, not all that busy on a Thursday night. My steak was cooked as ordered, which was medium rare and the flavor was pretty good and relatively tender. I do like their blue cheese vinaigrette dressing on the salad, I even asked Christina if I could get a side of croutons so I could add them and she obliged. I feel like many many years ago the croutons used to be different and were really just cut up pieces of their house bread and they changed them at some point. overall, it's a decent experience. after my tip, my order was $49 even. The Delmonico alone was $33. I could've easily spent that much on lower quality fast food which these days is no longer a cheap option. they're a little kiosk at the table advertised a deal where you can get one adult entrée dine-in and then pay 10 more dollars for another whole order to take home. I didn't see any fine print on the ad about any restrictions of what to order which would be shocking because you could order something very expensive on the menu for $10 imagine getting another whole steak and lobster tail add-on for just $10. I may have to look more into this deal.

The boneless wings were small, way more breading than meat, and the flavor was overpowering. - Had to take a Pepto Bismol tablet last night and an OTC anti-gas/anti-diarrhea pill this morning because of the food. Cherry on top: the card payment machine was continually malfunctioning and it took an additional 40 mins for our table to pay for our food. We still left respectable tips (20%, 25%, etc.) for our server out of respect for her, as this is her job. However, this restaurant is TERRIBLE.
