This was recommended to us by family that live in Jax. It was not crowded on a weekday morning. The service was excellent. The atmosphere is fun (although REALLY bright green) and the food was really great. There is lots of parking and outdoor seating. I've been twice now! My first time I was dining solo & sat at the bar- Bre was my server & simply fabulous. I asked for a recommendation between two dishes and she recommended the French toast sticks, it was one of the seasonal dishes & really scrumptious. I love that they serve good coffee too. Stopped by the Toasted Yolk Cafe for brunch and it was exactly what we needed and it hit the spot for sure. The restaurant is vibrant and casual. They offer seating inside and outside and there was a good crowd. I'm sure this is a steady location for the locals. Service was great, even with the crowd and our waitress Katherine was a delight and just a joy to be around. I ordered the chicken and waffles and they had a brilliant, unique take on it. The chicken was lightly fried, honey flavor right on it, and slightly spicy. The waffles were Belgian style and cooked perfectly with jalapeño peppers on the inside. Really unique and delicious. A great dish to try here if you're a fan of chicken and waffles. The hash-brown casserole was great as well. Cheesy and hearty, really nice accompaniment with the main dish. The only constructive thing I could say is that the coffee is good, it was not as stellar as everything else. We decided on this location based on the online wait time compared to the location closer to home. We used the waitlist option and were seated as soon as we arrived. We had inside and outside seating options, choosing inside since the large garage door leading to the outdoor sidewalk patio was open and we could enjoy the fresh air inside. Our server, Katherine, was amazing. She was patient with my husband's change in order, attentive, and friendly when grabbing different items we requested. I love the coffee mugs and that the coffee was hot and steamy. The taste was just okay, but I am really particular about my coffee. I loved my omelette. It was the perfect size and filled with fresh vegetables and feta cheese. The hash brown casserole was creamy, cheesy and delicious. I chose wheat toast instead of the biscuit and it was perfectly buttered and toasted, no need for the extra butter. My husband ordered the chicken and waffles. I tasted a piece of the chicken, which was nicely sweetened with the hot honey. He was happily surprised to really enjoy the cheese and jalapeños added to the waffles. This restaurant is located in half the space that was formally whiskey Jax. The renovation is bright, cheerful and clean. If you come around noon, I would recommend getting a lunch and not the breakfast. The Bacon seemed like it had been sitting on the warmer for quite a long time and the potatoes too. The taste was delicious, but just not freshly made to order. Honestly, I was a little disappointed with the quality of the food. I will try it again, but woth so many restaurants in the area for breakfast they need to step up their game. It appeared that many tables were enjoying libations from the full bar. As far as seating, there is a lot of space inside and out and I think they can accommodate large parties. But, I would stick to 6 to get seated quickly as that is thier table size. Our waitress Kaylin was on point, checking in on us at the exact right times. I saw all the wait staff being helpful and assisting everyone to get orders out efficiently. No issues and very kind and helpful! Now, let's talk about the food.... 1) The menu has a lot of options that fit into every diet. First time at this new spot in Atlantic Beach. We were seated right away and the service was quick! The decor is nice and it's an inviting place. Not a huge place but decent size for breakfast. The drinks were a little pricey ($11 for a mimosa). Food was average price. We really enjoyed the hashbrown casserole- perfect amount of cheese. I got the Big Ben omelette- It's a 4 egg omelette so great size. It had cheese oozing out of it and they did not skimp on the other ingredients. My husband ordered the southern fried Arnold (their versions of egg Benedict)- he said 4.5/5 stars. Said the chicken was good but nothing to write home about. Kids meals are $7-8 and includes a drink although we didn't realize OJ had a $0.99 upcharge until we got the bill. The kids French toast was very tasty and the bowl of fruit that came with one of the kids meals was great size! We enjoyed it and would definitely come back. They also had a flyer saying they do after-hours events so might be another good option at the beach for a private event read more

My husband and I just stumbled upon The Toasted Yolk and wow... what a find! Tess was our server and she was absolutely phenomenal. We let her know we were on a bit of a time schedule, and she truly went above and beyond. She got our lattes (which were perfect!) and our food out quickly -- without compromising quality at all. Everything was fabulous. I tried one of the newer menu items -- the breakfast skillet bowl with eggs, home fries, sausage, onions, peppers, and queso sauce on top -- and it was absolutely delicious. A very nice gentleman also came over to check on us. I'm not sure if he was the owner or manager, but he was extremely pleasant and attentive. So I am really disappointed in toasted yolk. Today was Father's Day and my Birthday which we told them. It was busy and we had a 30min wait to get seated, no problem. Our waitress was a sweetheart and let us know the kitchen was backed up, no problem. We sat there for an hour and half. 4 other tables were seated after us and got there food including several couples at the bar who seated after us, ate, and left. When we finally say something, our waitress brought us a plate each of scrambled eggs only, no bacon, no side, and no bread. I have never been so insulted. Went to #MonkeysUncle. Hate to have to give such a negative review.... But this place has soooo much to work on.. Truly terrible food. Like, shockingly bad for a professional establishment with multiple locations. The scramble was a watery, unappetizing mess that I didn't even want to look at let alone eat. The biscuits were clearly not made in house, and came from frozen as well as the churro donuts which tasted freezer burnt and had an unappealing texture. I would say the grits were likely instant, but that is an insult to instant grits which are far superior to whatever these were. They tasted like water with absolutely no flavor or texture to them. On top of that, they claimed the waffle maker wasn't working and the latte machine was half broken. So we had to downshift to pancakes that came out completely undercooked, rubbery, and inedible. It's truly rare that a restaurant misses the mark THIS much. Very disappointed in a place that has quite an appealing atmosphere and location. read more

We liked it so much on Friday we came here again this morning after church! It was a little busier, but the staff handled the crowd perfectly. My husband had the breakfast burrito and I had the Rocky Mountain Omelette with a side of fruit. Everything was delicious and our waitress, Lexi was wonderful and attentive. Reading reviews and decided to give it a try!! So glad we did!! We were seated immediately. Tess was our waitress. She greeted us with a smile! She got our drinks out. We didn't partake in the alcoholic beverage menu, but they do have some wonderful looking selections there. Also run daily specials. The decor is simple but inviting. Spacious! My husband opted for breakfast. He ordered the Cowboy Scramble, bacon, sausage, ham , eggs, biscuits and gravy. Talk about a nice plate of food!! It was huge and cooked to perfection. He got a side and opted for cheese grits in addition a piece of French Toast. It was all extremely delicious and he definitely couldn't finish it. I had the shrimp salad. The greens were fresh, had tomatoes, feta, corn and shrimp. I opted for dressing on the side. I absolutely enjoyed it but for me I used more of the sauce pictured. That was some good stuff!! I have visited just about every breakfast and brunch place down at the beach. I've gone from Atlantic Beach to the other side of Jack's beach down by Home Depot. From the beaches all the way to the intercoastal. Their food is really really good here but they do have some issues for the size portions that they give they are a bit pricey. Also, I was really shocked that they charged $11 for their mimosa. This is not a big mimosa. It's the same amount you normally get in a wine glass 11 bucks that's price gouging to me. The waitress that handled our group of 10 was absolutely fantastic and I will definitely be going back but I still believe $11 for mimosas is price coaching. And no matter what anyone tells me I have had mimosas at just about every bar and that is really expensive especially for the size that they're giving. It is some juice and some champagne 11 bucks. Come on. Toasted Yolk got back with me. I don't not agree with their assessment. You can look at it any way you want, but your price for mimosas is way out of line. I have been to at least 15 other places in the last year and a half and nobody but nobody charges what you do for a mimosa. The food is good. Service is good but I do not like the price gouging. How do you justify charging $11 for some orange juice and some champagne? Call around and ask all the other ones how much they charge and how large their glasses are. YOU DONT COMPARE. Brunch goals = ACHIEVED. We rolled in for a late breakfast (aka socially acceptable brunch) and decided to treat ourselves like royalty who accidentally skipped dinner the night before. Naturally, we ordered a BLT, a Reuben, and a club sandwich--because when in doubt, say yes to all the carbs. But first, we warmed up with some banana peppers and tortilla soup--aka the unsung heroes of the appetizer world. The soup was soul-huggingly good and the banana peppers had just the right kick to wake up our taste buds (and maybe our dignity). Now the sandwiches... oh man. Each one was a masterpiece. The BLT was crispy, juicy perfection; the Reuben was delicious; and the club sandwich? Layers of delicious that made us temporarily forget our cholesterol levels. Then came the churro donuts--tiny fried clouds of cinnamon-sugar joy. We all took one bite and immediately started making noises that are normally reserved for Michelin-star tasting menus or winning the lottery. It was a sweet start to the day... or maybe dessert for breakfast? Who's judging? Also--bless this place for having a full bar. We kicked off our morning with espresso martinis like the classy brunch warriors we are. Caffeinated, slightly buzzed, and deeply satisfied--10/10 experience. The ambience was cozy-but-cool, the service was on point (friendly without being fake), and the food? Let's just say we're still thinking about it. P.S. Yes, we took a pic... after we ate.
